The springs came through the mattress
The room had a strange smell to it like it hadn't had any air in it for a long time. The tv definitely needs an upgrade but for the money you pay the hotel was fine.
the staff , are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was excellent value for money , the lift was a real bonus ,as we were on the 3rd floor, .
the rooms desperatly need updating , could do with nicer bedding and towels, although it was clean, it really needs the wallpaper and carpets renewing .wouldn't want to stay longer than our 3 days, but it was just a stop over to break our journey home.
Stsff was excellent. Nothing was too much ttouble for them.
The noise of the lift when you were trying ro sleep at night .
Friendly staff, good value
Hotel felt rather tired, en-suite was cramped. Parking was impossible; I think it is wrong to say that the hotel has free parking, when there are just five small spaces for 46 rooms. I wasted a lot of time each evening driving round trying to find a parking space on roads or in car park, which I then had to pay for!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Prompt attention with a problem in our room with TV and door lock. We cannot fault the staff. Entertainment in the evening if you like that sort of thing. Breakfast plentiful . We had a family room which was spacious. The main communal parts of the hotel were large and comfortable.
It was a bit dated and in need of a refurbishment. Our bed room could have been a lot cleaner. The quality of beds and pillows were poor. The bath room certainly needed attention.
closeness to the front reception staff were very good
the noise from the street was awful had to keep window open for air old fashioned bathroom poor shower room needed decorating lift too small bar understocked entertainment was ok but stopped too early
Maybe the breakfast was possibly acceptable.
The bedroom was totally inadequate and extremely old fashioned. The bathroom was in desperate need of renovation.
Staff were very friendly and helpful Bedding clean
Rooms in need of refurbishment and a good clean. matresses needed replacing. noisy from ventilation fans on and off all night. View through grimy windows of wall, Shelf hanging off wall over sink. TV in one room not working properly faulty connection. Bathroom old and grimy really did not want to use it.
Close to prom, bed was comfortable
No parking. Lucky parking meters weren't operating yet, so got on street for free. Shower pressure was poor, just a trickle so no chance of washing my hair. Hotel hot as have heating on in the summer. Had fan and windows open but still cooking also couldn't turn it off.
food was freshly cooked
very very hot in there with no heating on .
the girl on reception was quite helpful, two girls in dining room were ok
Room: Toilet did not flush properly, bathroom could do with complete decoration as grout around bath was black, shower was like a trickle and if anyone flushed toilet water either turned boiling hot or freezing cold. Bed was not properly made, had to remake ourselves, dirty glasses not taken away. Bedroom was to hot and even had heating on in August. Dining Room: Could do with complete overhaul, we had 3 different tables during week long stay even thou we were told we should have had the same table during stay. Last day no tables available for us to sit at, staff had not got a clue where to sit us even thou I had complained the day before. Table cloth on one table was dirty for 3 days until I asked them to change it as I had got fed up at looking at the same dirty tablecloth. The three lads in dining area were not up to dining room standard and really should have training in customer service. The hotel feels like it is stuck in the 70's and would benefit from a complete decoration. No parking spaces available apart from 4 on the front of the hotel none of which could be reserved, this was difficult as we had an disabled person with us so had to drop him off then park up the hill if there was space, or park on public car park at a cost of £10 per night. As stated to the owner felt like a poor relation in comparison to other guests who were returning they appeared to be better looked after. Would not go back to this hotel
tommy and pat
On arival the staff was very welcoming and explain all information we needed The day staff was great with the kids. Would defenitly stay again
I would not say that I had any dislikes But the breakfast mas minalmal
hotel was awful dark and dreary cobwebs in room bath was filfthy coffee stains on bedside tables big hole in wall behind the fire drill poster, when called a member a staff was told if we didnt like it to pack up and they would refund which am still waiting for, smelt of damp dog, very very outdated , banister on stairway was digustingly dirty, i have to say worse hotel so far. no free parking only 4 spaces and the staff take those. i really think booking.com should vet these hotels b4 advertising them
plumbing needed sorting
Location..facilities at the hotel.. Helpful and friendly staff..superb breakfast
Could not sleep well as the mattress was very uncomfortable and you could actually feel all the springs coming through
Cheap Close to the beach Staff didn't bug you Clean
Old Rooms are boring Can be loud (due to seagulls)
This is a cheap hotel for a matching modest price. And that was what I wanted for a one night stay. Staff ok. Room small but sufficient, breakfast even better than I expected.
Given the asking price and what I could realisticly expect for that I have no complaints.
Staff friendliness and approachability. Breakfast was adequate but staff would cook you something of your choice if you didn't want the full English. Overall it was adequate for the price but I'm afraid I will not be returning.
The shower cubicle was far to small even for an able bodied person. Linen was threadbare and the bed felt like it was on a slant. Difficult to get comfy when you feel like you're falling out of bed.
Staff Price Value for money Quiet Location Breakfast
Decor Worn furniture, walls and floors Weak shower
airless pokey room hot and stuffy noisy traffic dirty stained matress one man lift
Staff excellent couldnt do enough for us breakfast was excellent good location close to sea front nice comfortable lounges we enjoyed our stay and woukd go again rooms very clean beds comfortable bedding nice and clean
Hotel a little tired in places needs a bit of attention in the rooms
Had a roof over my head.
4 parking spaces available Rooms not been decorated since 1970s. Only serve food dead on 630pm not 7 or 730 or even 8 just dead on 630pm. TV is a small portable one that reminds me of my childhood. 4 sachets of sugar available. To be fair I be shocked if I am the review you read that says all this and truly I make no a apologies. Question has to be asked. Why don't you do something about it? Just decorate one room per year. Anyway next time premier inn, travelodge or holiday inn.
Location, Staff was good
décor was very dated rooms were cramp Breakfast ended at 9.30
