Comfort, cleanliness and breakfast.
The room was a little cold in the morning.
The room was really cosy and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too :)
warm comfortable room, lovely bed linen, duvet, pillows and towels. Proper curtains to block out street lighting at night which is essential for me to sleep well. Helpful staff and great price for central location.
The breakfast room a bit crowded and cramped with maybe everyone choosing same time to arrive for breakfast.
Very comfortable room.
Breakfast room too crowded; food in buffet not hot.
The room was so nice and cosy.
Staff were really helpful, rooms were spotless. We will definitely return, and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.
Kitchen could be noisy, but we were next door, so tough get on with it.
Great friendly welcoming staff, great breakfast, great location
most of the things were good.
Had to go through kitchen to get to room on arrival (departure had a separate exit
Well situated in close neighborhood to the University of London and only a few minutes from Euston Station and other tube stations, friendly and helpful staff, lovely, but small rooms, very good breakfast.
Wifi signals often low, bathroom could be better cleaned, heating partly not working.
Great value for money and very clean. Our room was big, with 4 beds, even though we were only two. Staff were very friendly, and breakfast was good. Al in all very good value for money.
The bathroom was a small plastic capsule... but it was clean.
Reception open late. Extremely friendly and helpful receptionist. Breakfast very good (including porridge). Surprisingly little traffic noise even in first floor front room. Good table to work on. Electric heater available. Liquid soap dispenser. Very good price for location. Would definitely choose again.
Free wifi was a bit slow and I often had to reconnect (possibly because room was far from access points?)-- until I found an 'eduroam' wifi service was available (presumably from next door). Connected to that and had very good wifi. On the second night it was raining and heard constant sound of water flowing down a pipe. No decaffeinated coffee provided.
Fantastic location. Friendly staff nice building too.
Bathroom on the tiny side. But great loft room.
What did you like? --- location. breakfast is good. friendly staff.
What didn't you like? --- hmm.. mouse in the room.......
in a good location, close to a tube station, close to a main road. can't complain about the price and a good deal of choice for breakfast, which is served at a good time.
in need of a makeover. our room was very small.
A good room for the price considering the location. I was given a double room for the price of a single room after I had arrived. A good solid breakfast, friendly staff. Good heating in the room.
Wifi did connect with the supplied password but did not seem to work. I did not raise the issue with staff as it was not essential for me during my stay. Feel of the room was a little dark, but not excessively so, and that was my personal taste.
Single room was just right
Tv didnt work Mattress bit hard
The room was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful.
Bathroom was too small and didn't look or feel like a proper room. Would have preferred bigger bathroom with a bath.
I liked the help the staff offered us
WiFi was poor
English breakfast, friendly staff.
Very noisy, worn out furniture, cracked walls, small toilet, bed sheets not ironed, rat in the room during the night (very very unpleasant), poor illumination.
Good localization, good value for money.
Very small room.
Quiet clean room good value
At breakfast need to have napkins provided for guests
Breakfast is near perfect and the best I've ever had in a London hotel of this category, the only thing missing was ham, but everything else was plentiful and tasty.
Booked here for the wifi as London budget hotels seem unable to provide decent wifi. Sadly this one is just another one. Bearing in mind I needed this for work and even created a messy situation as I ended up ordering some items to an old address of mine I sorely regret having not gone to a more upmarket place that provides working wifi. The absolute irony is that this place has 7 routers through the house!
Location. Breakfast included.
Lots of stairs. Toilets and bathroom a little old.
Staff were friendly and receptionist was very accommodating.
Wifi didnt work. If it did work it would often drop out or disconnect.
It's cheap and has a very good location and the staff are very nice. They try, but the facilities are rather shabby, and the place is not all that clean. Most of the hotels on this street and in Bloomsbury are dated bed and breakfasts. This one is no exception. That's fine if you know what you're in for. The choice at the breakfast buffet is okay and includes hot food.
I've stayed in three rooms in this place and the other two times were just about okay. First, was a single with a shared bathroom. This was ok, a little shabby, but of course very cheap, and the bed was fine. The second time I was given probably one of the nicest rooms - a triple with it's own small bathroom. Only problem was it was right next to reception, and I was woken at 1am by people coming in late and talking loudly, and then again at 6:30 by small children running down the stairs in the morning. This time, I was put in a triple room at the top that smelled strongly of chemicals or paint. The shower was somewhat mouldy smelling as well. And the bathroom-shower in that room was also miniscule! Not a cabin shower, more of a cabinette! I asked for a quiet room at the back but this was on the main road. Gower Street is very busy with lots of traffic including buses. However, they do have double windows and this helps a lot to reduce the noise and the cold in winter.
