“I found the staff's knowledge of the Isle of Man extremely informative and helpful when planning days out. The food was always well cooked and of good quality. The room was clean and fresh smelling, it was a very good base for our first trip to the Isle of Man. I would stay at Arrandale again.”

Warm welcome, friendly staff, clean sheets. Good breakfast and good service. Our room had a pleasant view too. Sadly it is in need of refurbishment and redecoration as are most of the properties in Douglas.!

Leaving. Didn't like having a knock at our bedroom door at 10pm on the first evening telling us they had made a mistake and given us the wrong room. A little inconvenient to pack bags and move at that time but all was not lost as the room we were in (104) was dreadful being extremely dated and dismal. The new room (304) was a little better, not much but better. Didn't like having to ask for milk in the morning for cereal then having to ask again tea and toast. In fact, all three breakfasts we had required us having to ask for tea and toast - this is basic and normally the first thing we're normally asked at other hotels. Beds caused both my colleague and I to itch (I read afterwards that pets may be allowed on request) Hmmmm. No biscuits in the room for the second and third nights.

Good location. Not far from the seafront, shops and restaurants, only a 2 Minute walk. Nice size room, very comfortable, warm and had a good night sleep. Lots of hot water. Lovely breakfast. Extremely helpful staff. Rose, the owner, gave us loads of help and advice so that we could get the the best out of our holiday to the Isle of Man. Only bbc stations on the tv, so not much of a choice. But the tv did have a dvd player so if you think you will be spending some time in the room at night then bring some DVD'S.
