The kindness and courtesy of the staff.
Staff were very helpfull Breakfast was good. Room was nice. Setting beside the Loch was awesome. Cute little town.
Kinda of isolated from other areas!
Beautiful old building right on the banks of Loch long. The view from my room was spectacular more than making up for the slightly faded room and vintage lift.
I didn't sleep too well as it was a very windy night and with a damaged window and loose panel in the bathroom, the wind made a bit of noise.
unfortunately sleeping was difficult with noise from squeeky floors above us. Bus groups rise early, seemed like 5:30 am with lots of walking back and forth.
The views from the hotel, were amazing, the dining room staff were helpful, and the breakfast was good.
There was black mould on the windows and frames, and the windows were painted shut. there was no hook in the bathroom to hang a robe on. there were no glasses to put your toothbrush in. or to rinse your mouth with. very skinny pillows that were totally non- supportive.
Breakfast was very nice, looked forward to it each day!
I'm afraid I did not like the entertainer on the Saturday evening - sorry!
Main course dinner excellent - steak pie delicious! Room clean & comfy Lots of hot water for showers etc.
Desserts a bit of a disappointment. Saturday night entertainer didn't know the words to all his songs! Bar shut at 11pm.
We were pleasantly surprised, considering this hotel was a 2star rating. The breakfast was good choice, I would have liked 2 have some yogurts and bluberries added 2 menu,
Although the room was addicate, tthe wallpaper was a bit shabby. The staff could be more welcoming.
The location of Hotel, nice walks round about, the Staff from reception to dining room were very efficient and friendly, rooms were clean. The dining room menu had a good choice and the food was good.
Unfortunately that nights entertainment couldn't make it and there was a stand in, not good.
The service at the dining room was excellent.staff very attentive.well done staff.
I was in room 227 and the mattress was very poor.mattress was very thin and could feel every spring.not good at all.please deal with this issue after all eveyone needs a good nights sleep.
The bed was a bit small and the doors were very squeaky!
Staff are brilliant, and always extremely helpful and polite.
The side of the building my room was on, the road noise is excessive. But then I do live in a non urban area on a minor road, so not used to much traffic noise.
Friendliness of staff
Thickness of walls
A very pleasant and comfortable stay wuth friendly staff. Our bedroom requireda little updating but everything was clean and food was good. we certainly loved our view of Loch Long each day
We were on 2nd floor so wifi wasn't brilliant in the room....needed a range extender or additional router - Was much better downstairs.
Nice quiet room with good beds and view
Roast lamb was over cooked and pretty average
Position and views excellent - especially front rooms - take a side room (south side) for extra quietness - no Lough but view of mountain instead. Excellent value for money.
Very Good value for money but carpet in first floor corridor not quite 'fresh'. Damp showing round window in room. Air extraction from bathrooms especially noisy. It wasn't ours, the door was shut but the whole system seemed to hum all night - headachy!
the staff was very helpful, pleasant. the breakfast had a good choice of menu (even though mushrooms and haggis was on it, there was never none), quick service. the views of the loch was stunning (if you had a front facing bedroom), the breakfast room overlooked the loch. room service was quick and effiecent
there was several steps up to the main entrance, then again to the reception. The free Wi-Fi did not work on all of my 3 day stay. staff helpful to get it going for you at reception, on your laptop but has soon has you went upstairs the signal went and there was no internet.
Comfy beds and clean rooms excellent breakfast
Booked double room got single beds also booked loch view got grassy view with old goalpost hotel bins below window staff in and out with rubbish banging lids shut
Food was excellent
Wifi connection not very good
Staff excellent , food good. This hotel deserves it's rating of only 2stars due to poor bed. If they improved the bed it would be worth a 4star rating
Terrible bed, springs visible in mattress . Premier inn would have refunded me under their "guarrteed good night" On checking out the staff did not enquire about my stay, perhaps they knew about the bed!
The view was amazing
Parking was an issue if you can back late.
This is a great place on the way to north highlands , Skye etc..
Location was good.
Hotel is run down and in need of an update. Beds worn and uncomfortable. Wifi was unreliable. The walls appear to be made of cardboard as you can hear everything in the hotel.
We liked our room as it had a lovely view over the loch. The room was spacious and comfortable bed. Breakfast was good we enjoyed our one night stay
The staff, the hotel and the views.
The live music in the bar.
