This is a great place on the way to north highlands , Skye etc..
Location was good.
Hotel is run down and in need of an update. Beds worn and uncomfortable. Wifi was unreliable. The walls appear to be made of cardboard as you can hear everything in the hotel.
We liked our room as it had a lovely view over the loch. The room was spacious and comfortable bed. Breakfast was good we enjoyed our one night stay
The staff, the hotel and the views.
The live music in the bar.

Having to book dinner at Reception. You need to make the reception staff more welcoming.
The location was excellent and so were the facilities of the hotel. Attentiveness of restaurant and bar staff (evening and breakfast)
Front of desk staff was covering both the bar and front desk leaving guests waiting
lovely comfy room, had to put heater on as it was a really stormy day and got quite cold. Had a meal in the restaurant which was reasonably priced then spent the evening in our room watching the amazing weather as it swept through the loch and then cleared and repeated. The staff were very nice and helpful. cant comment on the entertainment as we were not interested in attending anything. There is a post office and small store nearby should you need to stock up on macaroon or tablet to go with your complimentary tea and coffee in your room. Did stay in one of the better rooms so maybe that helped
cant think of anything
Warm and great view in room. Beds comfy and wi-fi to use.
Service at breakfast. Didnt get most of it, had to ask for tea and toast after half an hour and when it came it was cold. Food was cold. Understaffed. Room had ripped sheets and no soap and out of date hot chocolate. Couldnt check in until 3pm. Didnt put childs bed in. Overpriced.
The restaurant and the breakfast in particular were very good. The staff were very helpful and friendly, one of the receptionists helped us to plan our walk around the Trossachs and the walk that she recommended was excellent!
The Wifi system was a little sketchy and slightly cumbersome to use.
There was mould and damp in the room, exposed wires and stains up the walls
brilliant staff,especially owner ! really nice food,beautiful location,attentive restaurant servers,wonderful warm dry room,great shower,quiet & peaceful.cannot fault it .thanks guys !
The location is unbeatable. When I booked I didn't realise we weren't on Loch Lomond ... And was a bit worried how we would be able to get around (travelled through public transport). But it couldn't have been easier. Also I felt like the views on Loch Long and Ben Arthur were better than Loch Lomond. The hotel itself is at least a three star! Don't understand why it gets a two star.
Honestly can't think of anything.
excellent views, good for travel to other parts of the area,s
food poor, fried breakfast limited cold tomatoes which was said to be grilled , when asked if I could have beans I was told no milk jug on table low table cloth was marked.
We thought the hotel was run very efficiently. Meals were on time and done in a very orderly manner.
No food was available after 10 pm.
Comfortable rooms, but a bit small. Clean and good location.
Breakfast soft boiled eggs were spot on.
I used to work around here in the 80's and nothing seems to have changed since then. The carpets and standard of paintwork needs updating.
service and facilities
No black pudding at breakfast
Everything was good except we were assured of rooms next door to each other at 10am but when we came back for our rooms in the evening after our day out we we're put on different floors but after voicing my concern we were on the same floor in rooms 110 and 123 !!!
Not getting what I was promised as my husband has had a major stroke and my sister is 78 and I was looking after them both !!!
The view from the room over the loch; comfy bed, cosy room.
Very slow service during the check in.
The view from bedroom. Comfortable bed very good breakfsst
Litter on floor on arrival. Very difficult to open windows. tiling shabby in bathroom Door entry difficult others also thought this too.
Bed was comfy.
Because of its location, and the areas magnetism for tourists, its obvious that the hotel felt no need to try very hard. Reception folk looked fed up. If I was not enticed back, I'm sure they'd find plenty of others. Facilities locally are nil if you need petrol or a cash machine - be warned. At £90 I felt the room was overpriced. Worth about £65 to 70 max.
Bedbugs in room 229... Couldn't sleep the whole night... Found three bedbugs in the morning
