A delightful old pub close to the city centre and its many tourist attractions. The ruins of the ancient water mill (hence Miller's Arms) on the River Stour remain alongside the pub.

Offering boutique rooms situated in the upper floors of a newly renovated house, Rocksalt Rooms feature bare red-brick walls, wet rooms, and original antique beds.

Charming house in a good location.
Unique! Extremely comfy bed, very quiet and spotlessly clean. Great nights sleep. Not only did we have use of the kitchen but were given breakfast vouchers for The Refectory about 8 mins walk away. This was really brilliant, excellent coffee and good food. Lovely welcome by Sebastian too who explained they hadn't been there that long so work in progress. Will be a real wow when sorted. Thank you!
Getting a bit old to be carting suitcases up two flights of stairs and although we knew the bathroom was two flights down from our room it wasn't ideal. No toiletries and no hand towels. Looking forward to going back though!
The location was great and the house itself is cosy with great wifi. The owners were super helpful when we rang with a query.
Our room had a bathroom two floors down, while the room next to ours had theirs next door. Hope the price for each room reflects this as it is quite a hassle.
No staff on-site No TV in bed-room Bathroom facilities down 2(!!) large flights of stairs. No breakfast available-this was pointed out at time of booking. Very noisy flight of stairs out-side bed-room!!
Range of teas provided and cereals provided. Comfort of bed. Facilities of house. Wi-fi speed Location
Nothing really. Could not fault the place (though beware, there are stairs to climb to get to the rooms)
Lovely bedroom and lounge Close to old city and railway
Going down two flights of stairs to go to the bathroom.
secure parking art work in the house the kitchen with free tea and coffee and the cereal was a nice touch lovely comfy bed a real find ,we will book again
nothing to dislike
The bedroom was lovely, well-sized and attractively done, so I felt very at home. The entire place had a great atmosphere and, other than all the steep stairs, was very comfortable. Everything was of good quality - and there was an exceptionally good shower!
A warning that the rooms was up three flights of very steep stairs would have been useful. I didn't like the fact that the private bathroom was two flights of stairs below the room, via the public areas of kitchen and livingroom.
A unique venue - as an old firestation. Comforable with excellent facilities. A relaxed set up with good well serviced facilities.
Fabulous place to stay. Park the car and then just a short stroll into the city.
nothing to dislike
Excellent location for exploring both on foot Canterbury & beyond in the car. The owners were both welcoming & informative. The house was well stocked with everything to make this seem a home from home. Loved the quirkiness of the Arthouse and would definitely stay again
breakfast location parking
very steep stairs
Everything. Quirky, comfortable, clean, spacious accomodation and convenient to walk into town. Had a lovely breakfast at the Refectory on the way into town.Friendly and helpful owners Sebastian and Adelle.
Very kind owners
Location was convenient for centre of town. Breakfast at Refrectory was superb.
Poorly maintained property. Master bedroom is described as having a 'private bathroom'. It is in fact down the hallway and was used by the other visitors in the house.
An excellent location and the building and style were brilliant. A very pleasant stay indeed. Breakfast at the Refectory was superb and conveniently situated on the way into Canterbury centre. Sebastian and Adelle were incredibly responsive, while also allowing for a free and independent stay. Overall, very impressed. We think we found a gem!
Location great near station and town centre. Rather unusual taste in decor and fittings which don't always match, but quirky and beautiful building. Fabulous bed!
Not actually a BnB as there's no-one there to give you breakfast, you have to walk into Town to a nearby cafe. However, don't let that put you off as the breakfast in the cafe is amazing! But they should tell you that before booking I feel.
Location, well organised clean and tidy, good breakfast and friendly people
Liked the style and the decorations. The bed was very comfortable. Nice selection of teas and cereals in kitchen.
It was unclear which bathroom was intended for which room, and we ended up using the wrong bathroom and didn't realise until afterwards.
Liked the location
When booking we had email stating private bathroom but it was a shared bathroom - quite disappointing.
Sparse furnishing in bedroom
Pleasant hosts Interesting and stylish hotel Clean
High price compared to other hotels
Great location close to all of the Canterbury attractions but also close to the routes into/out of town. We had the entire house for the weekend.
