There was a limited supply of toilet paper and perhaps more stocks could have been left in the kitchen for a continental breakfast-- but these are minor things!
The Guesthouse is in a great location, just a five minutes walk from the city centre, but slightly away from all the hustle and bustle (Canterbury can get touristy and there are some dodgy youths about). The Guesthouse is super-quirky and has been decorated in a unique crafty way, which I loved. Head's up-- there's only two rooms, so if there are two rooms free when you book you'll get the house to yourself, which is AWESOME! Lovely dining room and spacious living room and a kitchen in addition to the King-size bedroom! Ridiculously good value for money, it feels like having your own lovely place in the city. It's a different kind of Guesthouse-- the owners aren't around much and you have to get your own breakfast, but I thought the peace and independence was pretty cool. I did meet one of the owners on arrival and he was incredibly friendly and obliging, so I'm sure if there were any issues they'd be efficient at resolving them (they give you their phone numbers), but there were no issues at all. I'd really recommend this place for a business trip, especially if you have work to do. Be warned, if you book the bedroom with private bathroom, as opposed to the en suite, the Bathroom is a floor down-- so you may bump into people on the landing if there are other guests. There weren't when I was there, so it wasn't an issue.
