Everything we Needed
Location Menu was good quality pub food and dessert menu was quite extensive. Breakfast was exactly what we had ordered. Staff ensured we were happy with all aspects of our stay.
The petting area had pigs, rabbits meerkats ferrets free range ducks an chicks Food was fantastic Very peaceful
When booked in the girlbtold us 7.30 for breakfast it was actually 8.30 as we are early risers we went early and was not open and ready_ the lady that was on duty had to rush about but was very helpful...
Set in lovely grounds and in a quiet location.
Rooms are in an ex-retirement home and in need of refurbishment. Cleanliness was not the best. For breakfast, coffee, cereal etc. was on a self service basis. This would be fine except there was no coffee, no milk, no orange juice, no white sugar, and no staff to request a replenishment. Cooked breakfast to order. Had to ask what was available, no menu. We asked the night before what time breakfast was and the staff didn't seem to know. We were given three different times. Overall, there seemed to be a lack of staff although the staff that were there did do their best, but management need to take note that mediocre is not good enough.
Large room with a comfortable bed, the food was good and reasonably priced and the breakfast was also good. Despite being adjacent to the motorway the room was quiet.
The bathroom was a little "tired" and there was no hot water.
Everywhere was clean and tidy upon arrival and the staff was out of this world
The location was ideal for travelling to scunthorpe, gainsborough and brigg
Cleanliness of the rooms was poor, furniture was out dated and in need of repair, gardens was untidy and in need of ground maintenance, food was of an average standard, bathroom was old and dirty and in need of upgrade
Clean and comfortable; evening meal and breakfast, large portions cooked to order.
Road noise from A18 nearby all night ( but I do live in a quiet country village)
Food was good value both cooked breakfast and evening meal Overall room bathroom good and it was nice to have decent towels Bed comfortable
some cereal was not fresh remains of dried food on some ledges in bedroom
The food in the restaurant was very good even though it took an hour to get it, but at least it was free due to the delay. Didn't ask for a sweet though!
All epos tills were down when I arrived resulting in food orders being taken to kitchen and money being handed over for meals. I handed over twenty pounds for a £7.50 meal and was told they would bring my change over to me as they could not get into the tills at the time. 45 minutes later I went back to ask where my change was only to find that they had not even passed my order through to the kitchen and had forgotten about my change all together. On a separate note the bathroom in my room was filthy (Mold growing everywhere and the toilet had not seen a toilet brush in months by the look of it).
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Could not do more to help. Breakfast was included and was excellent The carvery was also very good
The property advertises free wifi throughout, however, at no time was I able to connect. This would have been unnacceptable should I have needed to access the internet for business purposes. Shower curtains not as clean as they could be.
Ants in the room got to my wedding cake, room smelt musty and bathroom wasn't very clean. Seemed short staffed at breakfast, felt sorry for poor girl on her own.
I liked the location and general set-up. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good.
I don't think the cleaning staff earn their money!! Shower control ingrained with grime; bathroom floor grubby; drinks tray sachets stuck to tray; carpet needed vacuuming; and chewing gum stuck on window-sill.
Excellent food Loved being surrounded by the animals on site
Ants in room Basic facilities - no bath or hairdryer Room looked a bit tired, needs a bit of a spruce up
The food was amazing! Best i have ate!! The room was nice and comfortable and the staff was very friendly would definitely come back!!
Good food / beer and a friendly atmosphere.
Ants in the bedroom and reception staff that seemed to be only half interested.
Not bad for the money. Breakfast ok.
Unwashed cup, poor shower, bed too soft, for me antway. No bowls for cereals or glasses for juice. Probably staff oversight.
excellent service from friendly staff
The room was very large and as it was in March, it was cosy and warm. Sheets clean, bed clean. We went for a wedding and the meal was excellent and a good serve. from.Breakfast was hot and the staff were very friendly. Garry and Jenny Western Australia
The bathroom was a little dated. Not sure how, but we booked early but got two single beds instead of a double.
The evening meal was very nice, and the room was lovely.
I felt that wasn't enough staff to cope with the people in, also breakfast wasn't great we both had full English yet they had different items on and the sausages were burnt.
The original booking was effortless, with good telephone confirmations. The room was clean and comfortable and set in a pleasant garden. I would happily recommend this hotel and its reasonable price Thanks
I was concerned on arrival that it seemed very close to a major road but despite its proximity to traffic, really effective sound proofing negated any problems. So not a problem
The grounds were very pleasant. Felt very 'countrified' with the donkeys wandering in the enclosure. Overall there was nothing to complain about. Would definitely come again.
On this occasion it didn't matter, but if it had been raining, wouldn't have liked the walk from the room to the main building.
Nice staff, good food, great rooms!
