Score from 92 reviews Very good
Evening meal was of good quality and plenty of it.
On arrival there was snow outside but the radiator in the room had been set to "frost protection" - it took about three hours to warm up the room. Water in the tap just about managed to get to "tepid" at best. Breakfast was poor - cereals and cooked breakfast available with orange juice but was not offered tea or coffee - nor either bread or toast
Staff were helpful the room, heating was on all day and could be controlled by thermostatic radiator valves.
Did not cater for Vegetarians or vegans.
Rooms were clean and the meal we had in the evening was very nice.
Breakfast was terrible. Wifi wasn't brilliant and the bed were bit uncomfortable
A few issues with our stay but the problems we had were sorted straight away. Helpful staff
Very helpful and friendly staff
Because we couldn't enter a street number into the Satnav we had trouble finding this hotel. The evening meals were very poor, really tasteless.
Staff extremely friendly and efficient
Needs updating ensuite clean bur dated
Nice food when you got what you'd ordered which wasn't every time
Very poor internet connection. The first hotel I've ever stopped in where there's no shower gel or shampoo provided, lighting in the room is dark and dingy when it first turns on
Location, room size (after upgrade)
Hot water took a Long time to come through.
The location was good and a lovely area, it also has animals ideal for young children
Nothing really to dislike but we did have a problem with the shower, the silcone sealent had come away from the wall so the water was seping onto the bath floor. I notified the staff to the problem they said it would be sort out
Location Reasonable Cost Great staff and good breakfast
Rooms are now dated and really need a little investment. Internet did not work but I really believe that it would have done if the router had been rebooted Just an IT blip.
the rooms where clean and roomy the housekeeper was helpful but they don't have disabled facilities
the breakfast we where not informed where the restaurant was what time breakfast were or when we got in for breakfast what was for breakfast when I found the tea, coffee there was none in the pots there was no cereal no glass for juice when I asked what was on the cook breakfast was told bacon, sausage, mushroom, fried bread ,eggs and beans or toms we got fried bread that you could have bounced and it would not have broken it was that hard we got beans and toms on our plate which is ok if you like them both on we don't we got half cook sausage meaning they were cook on one side raw on other no mushroom instead we got minted new potatoes so all in all a rubbish breakfast
Accommodation clean and comfortable. Beer and food excellent. Would definitely stay again.
Helpful staff. Excellent service. Lovely meals (and plenty of choice). Clean and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble.
Maybe a shelf (or similar) in the bathroom of our room - would have been useful (minor detail!).
newly refubished room.. good value for money .good . breakfast included.. helpful staff
bed a little uncomfy and previously some rooms are little dated.
The room was clean and the linen was fresh. The breakfast waitress was much more helpful than the evening staff.
The service in the restaurant was poor in the evening, I had to go and look for staff to serve as they were nowhere to be seen. They did not bother to clear the table- absolutely no customer service whatsoever. They could have sold me and my colleagues a lot more - the hotel lost out - we went to look for a pub.
Cold shower Not very good customer care
Everything we Needed
Location Menu was good quality pub food and dessert menu was quite extensive. Breakfast was exactly what we had ordered. Staff ensured we were happy with all aspects of our stay.
The petting area had pigs, rabbits meerkats ferrets free range ducks an chicks Food was fantastic Very peaceful
When booked in the girlbtold us 7.30 for breakfast it was actually 8.30 as we are early risers we went early and was not open and ready_ the lady that was on duty had to rush about but was very helpful...
Set in lovely grounds and in a quiet location.
Rooms are in an ex-retirement home and in need of refurbishment. Cleanliness was not the best. For breakfast, coffee, cereal etc. was on a self service basis. This would be fine except there was no coffee, no milk, no orange juice, no white sugar, and no staff to request a replenishment. Cooked breakfast to order. Had to ask what was available, no menu. We asked the night before what time breakfast was and the staff didn't seem to know. We were given three different times. Overall, there seemed to be a lack of staff although the staff that were there did do their best, but management need to take note that mediocre is not good enough.
Large room with a comfortable bed, the food was good and reasonably priced and the breakfast was also good. Despite being adjacent to the motorway the room was quiet.
The bathroom was a little "tired" and there was no hot water.
Everywhere was clean and tidy upon arrival and the staff was out of this world
The location was ideal for travelling to scunthorpe, gainsborough and brigg
Cleanliness of the rooms was poor, furniture was out dated and in need of repair, gardens was untidy and in need of ground maintenance, food was of an average standard, bathroom was old and dirty and in need of upgrade
Clean and comfortable; evening meal and breakfast, large portions cooked to order.
Road noise from A18 nearby all night ( but I do live in a quiet country village)
