Checking out and getting away from it. Arties Mill is a nice looking old mill building - best viewed as you drive past to another hotel. Public areas: Bar / restaurant area 'stank' - they had tried to cover smell with multiple air fresheners - claimed the smell was due to a now fixed split beer line - but they were not planning to fix the smell because of the effort to remove fitted cupboards..... Room: Toilet seat fell apart on first use! Mold coming out of extractor in bathroom. No hair dryer in room. Room not remade up after 1st night, unless you count the outer bed cover pulled up - no new toilet paper (3 sheets left from 1st night), coffee, bin emptied etc. If it wasn't for the location and my lack of time I wouldn't have stayed 2nd night (which I refused to pay for) |

Everything! The room was awful! Cigarette burns in the carpet in the room, leaking shower, stale smell all in all pretty awful. |

It was adequate for requirements..! Hygene was not the top priority - I had to spend 1 hour cleaning the toilet (Smell of urine etc.) and surrounds to my standard of occupation. And the Kettle did not work (last inspected 2007) |

Nothing, the place was awful. I was staying on my own in a ground floor room with no lock internal lock on the door. The decor was very tired - shabby in the extreme - the carpets were sticky. Just generally awful. |

Breakfast & helpfulness of staff The corridor smelt of smoke. The bed was very soft, squeaky & uncomfortable. |

Hotel staff very helpful. Hotel is right next to the m181 motorway. If you dont like noise do not stay at this hotel. I could not get to sleep. Room had very bad strong smell of rotten food? I think, not sure but it was awful. |
