The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, welcoming. The room was unusual, stylish and comfortable.

Loved the decor, very different to other places, we felt very at ease and it was fun having a variety of art to look at. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast was perfect. Staff were very welcoming and smiley Willl hopefully be able to stay there again!

The hotel design and decorations are great, especially the cafe on g Floor. Information provided in hotel's leaflet is very useful for us. Staff are polite, friendly and helpful. I am so in love with the breakfast choices. They are all great E.G. egg benedict, egg florentine, pancake, omelette etc. which are totally different from other hotels that offer only English/continental breakfast. The taste is really good. Location is also great. It's less than 10 minutes walk to bus / train station.

The TV in my room has no signal, only the radio worked. The room is a little bit small.

Nit-picking: plumbing could be quieter & shower water pressure could be higher.

Staff were friendly and informative on suggestions of where to go for dinner and things to see. Lovely room to sit and have breakfast or pot of tea in the afternoon.

We were in the top room, and as the window was single glazed could hear the strong winds quite a lot. Also, the heating in our room hadn't been put on when we checked in, so although a bit chilly by the time we came back from dinner, the heater in our room had toasted the room up nicely.

It is located in a gorgeous street in Penzance. We had a lovely welcome from the owner. The room was nicely decorated.

It was not easy to park outside the hotel. The shower was lukewarm/ cold. Breakfast was disappointing on both days as we were unable to have our first choice. The scrambled eggs left a lot to be desired.

We very much enjoyed the 'quirky' laid-back atmosphere which was created by the many interesting artefacts dotted around. The breakfasts were a pleasant change from the 'full-english' and reflected the artistic ethos.

The overall feel of the hotel is one of great design, comfort and friendliness. The staff were all superb and made us feel very welcome during the whole of our stay. On the Saturday evening they had a party night with a DJ and changed the cafe area into a dance floor. It was really fun and felt like a house party. The staff were apologetic about the potential noise but we just had a really good time and felt very lucky to be part of it. The room was gorgeous and beds comfortable. There was a great amount of thought put it to what would make the room comfortable including a well-stocked fridge. The breakfast was lovely and well-cooked. All wonderful!

I liked everything about 'ARBG' (Artist Residence Boutique Guesthouse). The staff were friendly and talkative. They wanted to know what you wanted to do so they could accommodate you in any way they could. The breakfast was beautiful and everything fresh in a gorgeous cafe/dining area. The artwork around the room as well is funky/modern and keeps in touch with the hotels niche. Our room was the best bit about our stay. It was on the verge of perfection. The wooden floors, art work, the bed was comfy, the layout and then came the en suit, OUT OF THIS WORLD!! Beautifully decorated. Again in keeping with the hotels image. Can’t wait to go back!!

As our room and stay was so good, me and the misses couldn't believe how lucky we were. With this in mind I started looking for faults. I could hardly find any!! Our bathroom window didn’t shut properly. It shut enough but not securely. One thing I will say is that there was alot of Egg on the breakfast menu. I am not an Egg eater and would like to of seen some other choices. If that is the only faults I can find from our weekend stay then people would be stupid not to stay there!!

Mel was a fantastic host,nothing was too much trouble. The room we stayed in(the butterfly room)was amazing. The bed was without doubt the most comfortable we have ever slept in. Breakfast was fantastic and we loved the decor in the dining room everything was very relaxed. A really great place to stay!

The only thing we found was the noise from other rooms showers was obvious but it is an old building and therefore these things cannot be helped.
