In Glasgow’s vibrant centre, just 2 minutes from Sauchiehall Street, Ibis Glasgow Centre is a short walk from Princes Square. It features a 24-hour front desk and a modern restaurant.
Score from 989 reviews Very good
Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was simple but very adequate. Great central location.
The decor of the rooms was very poor, there were holes in the wall and raw plugs visible, the lamps were hanging off the wall, numberous scuff marks on the walls and there was mould in the bathroom grouting. This would have been an excellent hotel had these issues been resolved, but as it is, the overall feel is disappointing.
Ideal location. Nice "boutiquey" style hotel. All staff excellent and very helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Close to station
Don't allow non residents to join you for a drink
Excellent location, right over the road from Central Station and handy for the shops. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was very hot, had windows open as far as they would go (2") but still very hot. Room could do with a lick of paint.
Have stayed here a couple of time now for work trips. Really great staff - we came in late with a lot of event equipment and they were exteremely helpful and accomodating to our needs. Perfectly located for our requirements and a lovely room. Thanks!
Friendly staff Clean room 24 hour bar
very smelly and not clean at all
The hotel was in an excellent position All the restauarants etc were near at hand
Ideal location just over the road from Glasgow Central Station. Small but well organised room with plenty of mirrors.
Little things like a slow lift, TV not working (across the whole building) the night we were there. Otherwise, nothing much.
The hotel central
Asked for a walk in shower! Didn't get one. Told them l was disabled. so didn't get shower.
Room was small but big enough for me (single person in a double room). Decor was modern. Free tea/coffee biscuits. All electronics working. Good power shower.
Found a bug in my bathroom that resembled a cockroach. Bed was like a brick. Shower coming off wall and bathroom a tad grubby. Noisy outside and walls must have been like paper.
Liked everything about this hotel. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Nothing was a problem to them.Decor on entrance had the wow factor.resturant very nice, will be back to stay here when in Glasgow!
I cannot say a word....would be making it up!
The location was nice.
Heating in bathroom was leaking, everywhere in bathroom moldy spots...
I was asked for an imprint of my credit card even though I'd already paid, the receptionist said it was for it I ordered at the bar but I was a bit uncomfortable doing this.
The fact that the hotel was in the heart of the city, walking distance to everything I needed and staff was very helpful
Value for money Location brilliant you can easily walk to all central locations Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful
Breakfast service wasn't brilliant but Jane was very helpful and tried her best
Breakfast looked terrible. Room was small.
The room was basic. This isnt an issue in itself, but the basics every room should have, especially in a big city with lots of people staying at hotels for business purposes, where non existent. There was no iron or ironing board. It took me asking 5 times to get a 'travel iron' and told to iron on the desk. No remote control-apparently people keep robbing them and they have no spares!!!!!! For price was terrible value
Location and Indian restaurant next door.Breakfast was very good and staff friendly and helpful, especially, blonde Scottish girl on reception and barman.
No internet and wifi very poor.Smell of urine in bathroom. No movie channels on tv.
the hotel location and the beakfast
The hotel was clean and everything was as I expected. The staff were friendly and helpful.
I would have liked a few more channels on the TV but understand that as the hotel has more than fifteen rooms, it wouldn't be cost effective to have digital TV available in guest rooms. In Britain we have very unfair licencing laws.
Staff very helpful and charming.
Internet very poor.
Near to station.
