Very close to city and free parking Where parking is very expensive
The staff were wonderful. The continental breakfast was included and was excellent. The location was very convenient to get to the town centre.
The wifi was occasionally unreliable.
Quaint, spacious and clean!
The staff was helpful and polite but could do with a smile. The mattress needs changing!
The style and décor Good dinner and breakfast
Very comfortable,clean and friendly staff
Iron was very hot to iron shirts
Lunch in the conservatory
Poor maintenance of ladies toilet near the bar
Very comfortable with very helpful staff. Breakfast excellent
we loved the location, the size of room, the comfort, plenty of hot water, very fast check in and check out and great breakfast service and great view from bedroom
totally boiling room at night plus a bit close to reception and so could hear talking and also people moving around in room above but ok really... we had ear plugs
Clean warm friendly
Fan in bathroom very very noisy Disturbed sleep
Pleasant environment Well located Free parking Friendly staff
The double bed was small, especially considering it was a 'superior' double room
The staff resolved any problems quickly. We were put in an incredibly small room with a small double (not a standard double) but they moved us to twin room without any fuss. The conservatory area was very pleasant. The location was good as was parking and they allowed us to park car for additional time on the Sunday. The staff at reception were very accommodating.
There was a lot of dust. Also when we were at reception, I overheard other guests complaining to the manager that the hygiene was poor and they had stained bed linen. He offered them a discount immediately but it seems poor cleanliness is a regular complaint.
Location Two comfortable dining facilities
Lots of stairs

smell in bathroom 'damp' room 102
Booked late but got a good-sized room with lovely view over The Cam/Jesus Green. Plenty of free parking Brilliant location - walkable to city centre.
The room looked nice, but soon realised very noisy. No secondary glazing, and so even light traffic disturbed us. Walls/floors transmit noise (even snoring/sneezing from around us) Take/buy earplugs !
Excellent location - just a short stroll to the city centre yet tranquil location beside the river. Personal service and staff very helpful. Breakfast excellent.
10 min walk to town, very calm ( in coach house) good breakfast, nice restaurant with good vegetarian options and very friendly staff.
Meetingroom situated under bedrooms was in use early in the morning and those guests woke us up.
Location is good, and parking on site.
The radiator in the room did not work (it was freezing), the TV remote needed batteries so didn't work. Single rooms are small, but OK for one night.
It was realy a pleasure to stay at Arundel!
(Coffee could have been better... Taxi was late to pick us up on day of our departure...)
The hotel is always welcoming. Our stay was before Christmas and the staff had gone to a lot of detail with christmas trees and decoration. Outside the trees were hung with lights and it looked so nice. We have stayed here several times and its always warm and welcoming. If youre lucky to get a room at the front there are views over the river and park to the town and its towers.
No lift if youre on the 2nd floor and stairs are quite narrow dragging cases. But this is only a minor gripe
This is not a trendy boutique hotel by any means, and the interior design is rather dated, but it ticked all the boxes for a most comfortable stay in a very clean, friendly, well run, fantastically located establishment. Our room in the coach house was excellent, with all the usual facilities, and great service -a new light bulb was brought extremely quickly when we realised one of the bedside lamps wasn't working, and the front desk kindly lent us a large umbrella for the day when we woke to heavy rain. Would totally recommend this hotel to anyone (unless style is much more important to substance - there are some amazing carpets in the communal areas!! But unlike most hotels that are a bit dated in style, this one doesn't feel shabby - it has been maintained very well.
As I stated above, some of the carpets are a bit wild!
We had an enjoyable stay in an excellent location. The room was comfortable and warm on a very cold day. The car parking was a bonus.
very flexible and friendly. I had to hang around all day while my son had his college interview, the hotel was very comfortable, wi fi access and close to town centre
no iron in room
