Good price and free upgrade to King size room as single not available. Excellent breakfast. Very impressed overall.
No fridge in room or even ice machine in corridor -- hate warm water to drink! Wi-fi free but had to keep logging back in regularly. Minor overall.
Very friendly welcoming staff excellent food, pleasant atmosphere would recommend to all. And on top hunting shooting fishing plus wonderful country side. Also the beer!
Fabulous fishing; good food. Lovely cosy lounge for coffee and tea. Our room was noisy but we were easily moved to the lovely cottage opposite- thank you.
Avoid room 10 on the main road
Period charm. Standard of evening meal.
The Breakfast did not live up to expectations. Waiting staff knowledge of what they are serving could be improved.
This is my second stay at the Arundell Arms for Work purposes. Most things are good, the breakfast was excellent! Booking.com got me the best deal, booked the day before travelling. My room was on the road side of the building, but no road noise once the window was shut, very quiet guests.
The Arundell Arms is aiming for a higher end clientèle, I must be a disappointment! The atmosphere is slightly posh (this does have the benefit of being quiet!)
Excellent bar food
Not a large garden & river.quite some distance from hotel .
Really friendly staff and great atmosphere lovely setting
we stayed on a friday night having travelled down from wales that day Steffan behind the bar was lovely.Wonderful meal in the dinning room lovely young lady who served us. Coffee in the lounge after open fire very cosy. Some good deals up to the end of March including dinner take advantage if you are in that neck of the woods!
Staff were very friendly, and helpful. Food in the restaurant was to a very high standard. Room was comfortable and quiet.
Could not get a phone signal without walking up to the church, then I could get a signal.
Service , quality, food and staff were all excellent
Excellent facilities and food. I stayed here for many years in the last 15 years, and it does not let you down. The staff are courtious and friendly, and the kitchen prepares some excellent quality dishes.
I can't think of anything negative to say, it is that good.
Great value, nice breakfast
Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The staff more than courteous, the room roomy and comfortable and the food in the bar was gourmet at pub prices. I would highly recommend this property.
Relaxed flexible stay with excellent cuisine. Very informal and accommodating.
Rooms will need updating soon. Bathrooms effective but dated.
Near the main road & yet still in a quiet location Friendly staff
Food was overpriced Bathroom facilities had not been cleaned: Hair in the bath, toilet seat had previous occupants residue stuck to it, sink covered in remains of soap & scum
superb staff welcome and attention lovely relaxig drawing room super food in the bar area
Ambience, helpful staff, comfortable bed. Well catered for fishing enthusiasts
I liked the way I was met at reception and helped to my room after a latish arrival Staff at breakfast were also very good - and the breakfast was freshly cooked and served, not buffet - so much nicer Pleasant room - but I was resident for less than 12 hours so don't have much more to say. It was easy to stay as an older single woman.
The pop-up on the booking site congratulating me on having booked the cheapest room in the hotel! I had naively thought that I was purchasing a quality stay but left feeling (unjustly I think) like a cheapskate. It really did not make me feel good. Just as well the actual stay was as it should have been. (TV was a little small to watch from the bed)...
Excellent location and fishing; quiet, in positive way. Other guests of same mind and conversation. Comfortable. Staff attentive and friendly. Excellent food, freshly cooked. Breakfast varied and of good quality.
Slightly expensive for what is available. London prices without London facilities or switched on staff. Food excellent ; however, lack of vegetables and slightly overpriced. Low Water pressure means unsatisfactory shower
Excellent staff, relaxed dining room
Lovely hotel in a small village, nice access to the local area.
It is an old building with secondary glazing. As it was hot the window was open all night and there was a lot of road traffic noise. That's it. Ah almost forgot, no beans with the English breakfast, sacrilege I say.
Food was good
Bedroom was small and had a dirty carpet
Luxurious accomodation, friendly and helpful staff, superb cuisine
