I was upgraded from a single room to a very large double with full size tv and reclining rocking chair and foot stool. As Arundel is a very busy tourist town with the castle and cathedral I expected this hotel to be very busy and of a good standard. Check in was at the end of the bar counter. Only one man on duty. I didn't see any other guests at all! I always book hotels with a restaurant but I was told after I checked in that there was no chef so the restaurant was closed. |

Friendly welcome and service. Bedroom comfortable and clean. Breakfast well-cooked and well served. Good car park. In view of the limited facilities, I thought it a little over-priced. Nevertheless, my brother and I felt very comfortable and relaxed in the hotel. |

the conservatory where we had breakfast was very pleasant. The hotel was rather like an old people's home in decor and is in need of refurbishment. The gardens were nice but rubbish was dumped to the sides of the hotel and could be seen from the room. |

Surrounding areas and places to visit were excellent.Hotel was ideally situated to enable us to walk in to Arundel. Traffic noise, one duvet was dirty and one lamp in the room didn't work. The room was very hot and we were unable to turn off the radiator on the first night. The general atmosphere of the hotel could have been friendlier. |

The room was clean and well furnished, with a comfortable bed, soft towels and an en-suite shower room - however ..... The web entry, on-site signage and even the information in the room all make reference to the hotel restaurant serving dinner. On arrival we were told that no dinner service would be provided and we would have to go into Arundel for evening meals. This is quite simply misrepresentation, and therefore actionable. |

The staff were attentive and extremely courteous. We arrived late and needed to change for a wedding immediately. They instantly assessed the situation, handed over the room keys and proceeded to fill in the paperwork without us, giving us the opportunity to use the rooms immediately. |

The food was excellent, bar very good. Noise from the main road, the room did not have all the comfort details I have come to expect in hotels such as a fridge, biscuits with the tea/coffee in the room, shower caps etc in the bathroom and a comfortable chair in the room. |

Close to town Utterly outdated. Very tired and dirty decor. Need a complete re-make. Management need to be more friendly and welcoming. |

Breakfast was delicious! It was a bit too close to the main road which made it noisy, but we had read the reviews and were aware of this. However, it was within walking distance of town, which made it convenient. |
