staff friendly. quiet hotel easy access to main road
the cleanliness, the breakfast, the comfortable bed, the helpful staff.
Only limited bar meals available
- Location, short walk into Arundel town - Room standard. Spacious room, very well decorated and well maintained. - Very clean room. - Breakfast, good quality and plentiful. Didn't have to eat for the rest of the day. - Very welcoming staff at breakfast, a good start to the day.
The breakfast room was nice and also the food.
Very close to Arundel, 10 minutes walk. Two minutes from Arundel station (although we never heard a train), we could have caught the train rather than driving. We booked two rooms, both were very large, a bit dated but very comfortable. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The breakfast was really good and the staff very attentive but not overbearing.
It rained - can't blame the hotel for that!
Nothing to find fault with
It has a very laid back atmosphere. The staff are friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast.
The noise in the bathroom is very loud.
Clean rooms and ideal for what we wanted
Some attention to décor is needed
We had a room at the back which was wonderfully quiet. We stayed during warm weather and there was a fan provided in the room.
Staff friendly and convenient position
The place was clean, and the staff welcoming.
Very restricted evening meal menu, although there are other eating establishments nearby, so that didn't pose a problem.
The staff were friendly and obliging - the location was close to Arundel but a little too far to walk for us older people !! The hotel was lovely and comfortable and we will definitely stay there again and not hesitate to recommend this to friends.
Easy Check-in, good room, great breakfast
First night had a meal in Arundel, then went back to hotel for another drink.BAR Closed! Next night - bar open. Incostinent!
Staff were fantastic and so helpful. We had breakfast and couldNOT find a single thing wrong. Brilliant
Sorry to say we did not sleep well at all. Kept awake most of the night as our room was on the ground floor with a main road directly outside.
The staff were pleasant and the hotel is in a good location for the train station and town.
The room was incredibly dated, there was no ventilation so it was very hot (the ceiling fan clicked with every turn so the noise it made outweighed the minimal difference it made to the air), and the room had not been properly cleaned (E.G. there was someone else's hair in the bath and the lamps were covered in dust). Also, the room was small, the bed linen tired, and there generally weren't any of the comforts that I would expect when paying £95. Check out was at 10.30am and there was no option to leave our bags at the hotel for the day, so we ended up leaving them at a local taxi cab office. I emailed the manager afterwards to express my disappointment. I haven't received a response, which I take as confirmation that he does not care about customer experience.
The birds feeding in the garden. Breakfast good.
Room too hot fan encased with dirt. Mismatched furniture. Grubby toilet brush. Bath an hour too fill. Shower pressure poor. Bar food very poor. Have stayed at Arundel park twice before and was surprised too see how sad and neglected the hotel has become.
It was handy for town. Location excellent. Lots of parking. Good breakfast. The hotel was better than i was expecting from the photos.
good value. very good breakfast good parking
Room was very noisy as on main road
Very pleasant bedroom
No real ale
Being next to the train station
Front bedrooms to hotel are very noisy due to constant heavy traffic passing on a27. Woke up many times during the night because of this. Ask not to have these rooms and you'll be fine.
breakfast is very good
no food available during the eve, you have to find other food outlets
Comfortable room & great breakfast
Would have liked wi fi
Reasonable location close to the centre of Arundel.
I did not feel that this hotel was any better than adequate. There were very steep stairs to the bedrooms which elderly people would find difficult. Also there was a very awkward to open fire door at the top of the stairs which opened backwards with the risk that you would fall back down the stairs as you opened it. I am sure the fire door is necessary but the management should look at where it is situated as it presents a safety risk at present.
