The staff were particularly pleasant and helpful, the breakfast was very good and the room was spacious with a very nice en-suite There was no guide provided for the satellite TV and the bar could use a make-over in my opinion |

Great and really friendly, helpful staff. Nice quiet, light airy rooms with whirlpool bath. Comfortable and very clean. Trying to find parking each day was quite a challenge, some fixtures and fittings looked tired, and needed a little work, and the corridors were really quite narrow! |

The location which is one street back from the promenade is both which convenient and quiet. All the staff are friendly and pleasant and have good local knowledge .The restaurant provides good food and serves it very efficiently. The apparent inability of some guests to close doors quietly - but this applies to lots of other Hotels as well and is not the Hotel's fault! |

The room was lovely, large and airy, not much of a view but the overall room was nice. The breakfast was excellent, we didn't try the resturant of the evening but if the breakfast was anything to go by then it would have been good. However, the walk off the prom to the hotel is quite steep - not good in heels!! We forgot our house key on return but then hotel staff were great, found the key and returned it to us within 2 days, really good service. The hotel could do with updating a little, the decor is a little tired but ok to deal with. |

Freindly and accomodating staff who were pleased to help. Front door access tricky with high step and steep hill. Bedroom decor was dated, floor tiles were loose. |

The relaxed atmosphere and no hastle. The staff were all very helpful and we never felt under any pressure for breakfast or meals. It was a pleasure to feel that the hotel was our home for a period and we could sit and talk or read in the lounges or outside without interference. Thanks. Nothing I did not like, But I thought the whip and cap over my bed suggested some sort of sadism! (Not serious). |

Very friendly staff, always heplfull, excellent service and range of food, the rooms were very comfortable, good base for business and to explore the island. Being a first time visitor to the Isle of Man, unfortunately my mobile phone did not work, disappointed that there was no direct dialing from the room |

I really liked the atmosphere of the place (cozy, the names of the rooms, etc.), the breakfast was good, and the staff was excellent. Frankly, the staff was the most redeeming quality. (1) Website said free internet WiFi throughout; this was not the case. Not only could I not get free WiFI in my room, but even in the lobby it was so bad it wasn't worth the time/effort of waiting minutes at a time for each page to load. Because this was one of the two main factors (along with price) I was looking for when booking, I was very much disappointed. (2) Shower was a complete disaster. I'm not a plumber, and I don't claim to understand plumbing, but I assume some sort of inter-connection between rooms. The shower water would inexplicably (and very quickly) switch from freezing cold to burning hot. It was absolutely miserable. The base of the shower was falling apart as well, for what it's worth. (3) Lastly, while not a huge issue, I found the toilet rather annoying. On average, I would say it took me three attempts to flush the toilet. It basically required perfect timing -- not too quick, but not too long, otherwise it would give somewhat of a "quarter flush", and you'd have to wait a few and try again. Very aggravating. |

Staff very friendly and helpful. It was no effort to accomodate requirements and staff listened to what you were doing and attended to needs without fuss - e.g being ready for breakfast before normal 7am start. Shame there wasn't more (any?) people using the restaurant facilities at night - perhaps too early in the season? The hotel facade may be off putting - quite contemporary in rooms and foyer, but decor outside and in corridors a bit dated. |
