The hotel was decorated to a very high standard and the executive room we stayed in was lovely with a really comfortable bed. The staff were excellent and really helpful. Please note there is no bar but you can bring drinks with you to have in your room. You also have to book in before 10:30 at night as there is no one on after this time. Would definitely stay again and recommend friends and family. Also breakfast was divine and there was plenty of choice on the menu. Excellent hotel with bags of character. The shower was a little fiddly to get the right temperature but only a minor issue. Parking is a little tight at the back when full but other than that the room was very clean and well maintained and can't fault anything else.

My stay at the Ascott Hotel can only be described as superb. My room was excellent, it was obvious a lot of time and effort had gone into the decor and design of the room and this was one of the cheaper rooms !! The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The choice for breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked to a high standard and well presented. Nothing at all. I felt if there was any problem the staff were very approachable and it would have been dealt with.

Location, parking. Friendly greeting on arrival. Must have been one of the worst places I have stayed in and I have stayed in a lot. Bathroom very cramped and tired, in need of refurbishing, radiator rusty. Mug provided in room was dirty. Breakfast poor, soggy toast, not offered a chice of brown or white toast, no extra toast or preserves offered. Male who served breakfast offered no greeting whatsoever, didn't ask if everything was alright. Definitely not a four star as stated, should be a two star.

The atmosphere was comfortable, felt quite at home. It was pleased with the ease of travel anywhere I was wanting to go. No problem with acquiring information on places of interest. Breakfast was top class. I would recommend Ascott Hotel to anyone travelling to the Manchester area.

We were made very welcome by the owners who were very friendly and helpful in giving us advice on the best way to get around town. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely with good service and attention to detail. The hotel was everything we wanted for our short break in Manchester.

Very nice hotel. Looks like it has been recently redecorated and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Excelent cooked breakfast. No food in the evening. Offering an evening meal would transform this from a very good hotel to an excellent one.

Location was convenient - just off the motorway Room was small and right on the road so it was noisy. Its likely other rooms were not so bad, I just happened to be on that side of the hotel

It was old but stylish and clean. Nice and welcoming with little touches that made the room nice like pictures and flowers, etc. The breakfast was lovely, nicely presented, tasted v.good too! Would definately stay again when going to the Football as the metro link perfect for getting to Old Trafford but also there are a row of good restaurants and a couple of pubs only a 5 minute walk away for the evening. Trafford centre only 5 mins drive away too. Bathroom could do with a little money spent on it to spruce it up as very old but it was v.clean which was the main thing!
