Fantastic location, close to Paddington mainline and Underground. Lots of pubs and restaurants and Hyde Park all close. Lift was a bonus.

Easy access to Paddington station. Room was clean. The room was a good size just right. Price was very fair. The shower worked, Hot water supply wasn't compromised whilst running bath. The breakfast was fully stocked

The breakfast cereals where plain only one type. No other ventilation other than opening full length balcony window door.

Everything - worse hotel ever visited - no maintanance - heating on temperature over 30 - TV not working - room entarance door stucked we could not get out - it took them 2 days to turn the heating off - after 3 days of begging becouse TV was not working they had changed us the room -from very poor to worse - new room did not have the telephone, several bubble light were missing, the entrance doors were stucked and we were locked in on the 4th floor - the evelater needed around half an hour to reach the 4th floor - the stuff very unkind, they simply did not care for our problems- - very poor breakfast, waiting time to get a sit 45 minutes. - A PIECE OF ADVICE: AVOID THIS HOTEL IT IS NOT WORTH A PENNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shower facilities, self-serve kitchen with basic food provied, location not bad

It was a double bed in a single room, but the area left is too small, same as or even smaller than the double bed. No tea and kettle in the room, need to go downstairs to the kitchen.

An amazing price for location, comfort and space. Still cant believe how good it is for the price.

Easy to get tube, halal food, souvenir...breakfast was simple but good.

No value for money, room entrance is very unsafe, no A/C or exhaust in the room. Floors are with wood very untidy & unsafe.

No Plugs in bath or sink Kettle not provided had to ask for one. TV Remote not provided had to ask for one. Bathroom shaving lamp would not turn off. Decor is dirty, furniture poor. Floors were dirty. Mould on the En-suite walls around bath, toilet, & sink. Sink had a large crack running through the middle. Beds were awful, metal camping style frames. Tired old mattress that sank in the middle. Wires tacked to the walls everywhere throughout the hotel and rooms. Noise from within the Hotel and street. Noise and vibrations from the nearby underground station. There is nothing to recommend this hotel.

Not a lot. I had an ensuite, also had a double room when I had only booked a single, this was a last minute late availabiliity booking, so for the money what did I expect.

Water in the ensuite wash basin would only come out in a trickle. Broken pane of glass in the window. The whole room and ensuite needed a revamp.

Warning - you should read this BETWEEN THE 15TH AND THE 18TH OF APRIL 2013 I WAS A GUEST OF HOTEL ASCOT HYDE PARK HOTEL. ON CHECK OUT AT 09.50 OF THURSDAY THE 18TH OF APRIL 2013 I REQUESTED MY RECEIPT FOR THE ROOM CHARGE HAD BEEN PROMPTLY PAID UPON MY CHECKING IN ON THE 15TH OF APRIL AND THAT MY SUITCASE SHOULD BE KEPT SAFELY IN THE STORE ROOM. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD CHARGE £5 FOR STORING MY LUGAGE. I WAS ASTONISHED THAT I WOULD BE EVEN CHARGED AND COMPLAINED THAT THIS SHOULD NOT BE THE CASE. THE RECEPTIONIST, A VERY BIG GUY TWICE MY SIZE, TRIED TO FORCE ME TO READ THE HOTEL POLICY THAT I REFUSED. HE WENT ROUND THE RECEPTION DESK AND STARTED ABUSING ME AND TRYING TO HIT ME AND KICKING ME. I MANAGED TO PLACE MY SUITCASE BETWEEN THE RECEPTIONIST/ASSAULTANT AND MYSELF PREVENTING ME TO BE INJURED. THE RECEPTIONIST FOLLOWED ME ALL THE WAY TO THE STREET ASSAULTING ME. I HAD TO RUN AWAY FROM THE HOTEL AND NEVER GOT MY RECEIPT FOR THE CHARGES AT THE HOTEL. I MUST STRESS THAT AT NO TIME WAS I RUDE OR AGGRESSIVE WITH ANYONE AND ONLY SHOWED DISPLEASURE AT BEING CHARGED FOR EVERYTHING IN THE HOTEL. LATER ON AT 11.15 (54 SECONDS CALL) I RECEIVED A CALL ON MY PRIVATE TELEPHONE BY SOMEONE FROM THE HOTEL I COULD NOT IDENTIFY THREATENING ME FURTHER. THIS INCIDENT HAS BEEN REPORTED TO THE LONDON METROPOLITAN POLICE AT PADDINGTON GREEN POLICE STATION.

Location.

Had to walk so many stairs to get to the room. Booked a single bed/room, instead I got a room jammed with 3 beds -no floor space left. Bathroom tiles almost falling off the walls, dodgy electricity (spooky sounds and sparks from the sockets). Breakfast abysmal, so went for other alternatives. And the charge for wi-fi ridicolous; £2,50/hour, when internet cafe round the corner was £0,99/hour. Get real, no-one wanna pay that much for this service nowadays...!

The receptionist working when I booked in was really pleasant, and the ensuite looked as if it had just been revamped.

The receptionist that took over from the one that was on when I booked in was really sombre and had no communicaton skills. The floor in the bedroom was in dire need of replacing.

Convienient for Paddington Station.

The laminate floor went up and down in an unnerving way when stepped on. The room was red-hot because the thermastat was missing from the radiator. We openned the window but there was too much noise from the road. Consequently I got no sleep. Pay more money for a good night's sleep.

Perfect location. Cheap - compare to another hotels in the area. Nice staff.

Do not buy breakfast there !
