The convenience of the location is the main draw of Ascot Hyde Park Hotel. The room though small and old was quite clean. It was very noisy (a price to pay for the convenience) but the shower head that didn't quite work properly was more frustrating. I have stayed at other Ascot group hotels both in and out of London and I must say the Ascot Hyde Park Hotel didn't quite match up with the standards. |

Location & Price were ideal for my requirements. Hotel is in need of maintenance and repair. Room was large, sparse but adequate for my needs. This is a hotel for people on a budget. |

One word sums up this place - DINGY On one of the reviews it said that wi-fi only worked on the ground floor and the basement so I e-mailed a week before to check this out - I was reassured that wi fi worked on every floor - NOT TRUE - it only works on the ground floor and the awful dungeon of a basement where they serve breakfast. |

Staff helpful and flexible. Rooms a little tired looking and not for the light sleeper with noise of tube reverberating through the walls |

Convenient location, close to Tube station Facilities are old and worn down in the old wing. Carpet was worn down, hair dryer on fire. TV remote not working and not being replaced even after continous request for repair. |

Nothing - I would never stay there again nor recommend it to anyone. Overpriced, stairways blocked, bad reception, dirty and unkempt, bad signage. |

facilities near the hotel like the tube station and restaurants. the continental bar The staff were not helpful. For three days there was no heating nor hotwater in the sink. It was very windy and cold one day. When I requested for heating- the reception staff said, 'dont' push too much, we will come and sort it out'. I waited till midnight, lost my sleep and was very tired the next day. I regretted booking the hotel. Bed sheets were not changed. same dusty sheet for 4 days! |

Convenient for station/underground, friendly and helpful staff, quiet room. Great restaurant - il Gusto. Shabby, but sadly not chic. Needs a number of repairs - plumbing, paintwork, however WC was fixed promptly the first evening. |

The Location is steps away form the Paddington Station, freindly staff, Clean rooms, rooms are bigger than other hotels in the same area., free internet is a big plus. You can feel the vibrations of the underground trains every time a train passes, TV channels are only few and local. |

it was very convenient for paddington station very poor facilities. Our room was located in a seperate block, the front door of which had no lock and smelt of gas in the entrance. Winding little stairs led to the room with no lift! One member of staff who was passing did help with our case. Breakfast was poor and even necessitated in boiling your own kettle for a cup of tea! |

Filfhy room with holes in the walls. bags of rubbish in corridors. bags of sheets and bedding blocking stairs. Dingy area - to mask the dirt - serving breakfast - I walked in and walked out of the breakfast room. |
