Ascot Hyde Park Hotel

Proximitiy to Paddington Station,

In need of major redcoration and lacks cleaniliness, breakfast was very poor. Hotel did not match up to 3 star rating.

Honestly ? Next time I'd rather sleep in a youth hostel...but the location is good if you need something close to Euston or the city centre.

Where to start ? The hotel didn't get my reservation when I arrived, the room was on level 3 without lift in another building without security on the street door (you push the door you enter the building). The number of the rooms were written on pieces of paper, taped on the door. The door couldn't close properly. The room was clean but lots of dust. There was a telephone but the wire was cut and anyway there is no telephone plug in the room. The windows couldn't close and was facing the street (noisy&cold) The heating didn't work. (I was litteraly frozen during my stay). The bathroom was ok but missing big tiles above the door (they must have fallen...). The shower tub was disgusting(shower gel offered but no shampoo).Breakfast was minimal

You can not classify this building as hotel especially 3 stars.Unbelievable, unacceptable.What a mess, even animals deserve a better stay.

The location was great as it was within a stone's throw of Paddington Station. When I told the hotel staff that I couldn't use the shower it was fixed that day.

The place was quite run down and the breakfast area was too small for the number of people having breakfast.

the people clean the room really helpful.the internet wifi.the good space in the bathroom.

The staff was not friendly or service minded. My bed was not made up upon arrival. I got sheets and had to make bed myself! In the morning when I returned the key the only thing I got was a headnot telling me where to put the key. No thanks or byebye. The hotel itself is fair priced, but the staff friendlyness was far below standard. I'm not saying this because I want to get them down, I hope they act upon this, because when they get this sorted then it would be a pleasent stay.

Too less space in a room. Beds occupied almost all floor space. No place to sit except beds. On booking.com was information that additional bed could be added for £15. However if I had to use this option it would be completely impossible because of the lack of space!!!

clean and Ok hotel for a ok price - nothing extra but you get what you pay for...

A bit more finish (whole furniture, a bit more concern about the breakfast room etc) and the hotel would be more than ok.

The hotel was located close to Paddington tube station as well as local restaurants.

Service at the hotel was terrible, expect to be ignored while staff chat with each other/on their mobile phone. When I arrived maintenance involving drilling and hammering was being performed on the floor on which I was situated - I was neither informed of this by reception nor offered another room. Tea making facilities are provided however there is no fridge!

I have not idea of any likes in Ascot Hyde Park Hotel.

Not a lot - it was a bed for the night, nothing more. The location was convenient though.

The staff were dismissive rather than welcoming, the decor was a disgrace - the paintwork was yellowed and scruffy, the carpets dreadful on my floor at least (albeit some had been recently replaced elsewhere), the bathroom was dirty and I didn't even use the breakfast facility because the standard of the room put me off other facilities.

This hotel has an amazing location with three different tube lines running just down the road... literally the tube can be seen outside the window..

This hotel is very very basic.... do not expect anything other than a cheap hotel.. however the location cannot be beaten.. for the money and location you should expect to compensate on the hotel itself.
