Score from 128 reviews Fabulous
On the banks of Loch Lomond in the magnificent Queen Elizabeth Forest, this hotel has spectacular views of Ben Lomond, the loch and mountains to the north. Rowardennan Hotel is accessible, yet remote....

Friendliness and attention from owners
Can not think of anything
We enjoyed everything the Ashbank had to offer. The service was warm and friendly and the location was idylic. The room was comfortable, clean and more than fit for purpose. Would recomend to all .
Very friendly host and a perfect pub 100 meters away in darkness and rain that day.
Ashbank B&B is a wonderful place to stay. We only planned to stay overnight but found the warm friendly welcome we received from Tom and his lovely family enticed us to extend our stay for another night. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt all our needs were met. We will definitely stay again.
From the arriving to the leaving there was a warmness to this B & B. The couple who run it are so friendly and have vast knowledge about the surrounding areas. Excellent rooms, food, bed, shower, etc... in fact all was excellent. You are a fool not to stay here whether for a night or four like what we did. We will return when in this area again.
There are no negative aspects of Ashbank B&B.
Hospitality Cleanliness Comfort Owners welcoming
Jug of iced water produced as soon as I asked
No choice for breakfast - if you had a cooked breakfast we weren't asked about choice of egg or what we wanted.
Very close to village centre. All the rooms were on the ground floor - no carrying bags upstairs. Breakfast was good.
The room was very spacious, comfortable, modern and immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable. There is ample parking. Tom, the owner, was welcoming and there was a good choice of options for breakfast. The village of Drymen has a good range and choice of places to eat and drink.
There are no negatives with this B&B, it is excellent.
Excellent location, very friendly host, clean and well-equipped room and bathroom and nice breakfast.
Just a comment - the B&B is mainly used by walkers. If they want to be out early walking, you'll hear them in the shower.
Nice big room Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast
The facilities were of very high quality. Tommy was a great host and provided us with lots of helpful advice with our touring. Breakfast was very tasty.
The mattress comfort could have been a little bit more comfortable
Very friendly and helpful, made us feel very much at home, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely room, beautifully presented. Great breakfast, would certainly recommend.
Hosts, comfort of bed, tea/coffee in room
Friendly with good food good hospitality
Thank you for a lovely stay - we really enjoyed it and definitely will come back
Loved the location. Could get to Loch Lomond and into Glasgow equally easily. In evening a good selection of local eateries to choose from within walking distance. Tommy and Mhairi were excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful, very approachable.
Lack of a wardrobe - ok if on walking tour, but needed for longer stays. Also some people were inconsiderate of others and were noisy. Sound proofing was not the best.
Ground floor accommodation It was situated right on the West Highland Way which made it easy to select suitable walks Our friendly host gave us excellent service, local information with breakfast times to suit us
Right at the starting point of the Rob Roy Way this was the perfect stay for the three of us. Very friendly owners, a cosy and spotless room and a good breakfast to get us on our way.
Friendly proprietors, good location, good breakfasts, easy access and parking, near hiking trail, colorful pub and good dining nearby.
lovely place to stay.clean fresh airy room.owners very helpful and local eateries excellent.
Breakfast came with The Best black pudding ever tasted. The rooms were in an annex giving guests a real sense of privacy, and the hosts were most welcoming at the end of a long day's cycling.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The house was in the centre of Drymen and handy for the local pubs. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
The cooked breakfast was a bit stingy and not very filling when we were about to continue on the West Highland Way. Not a big gripe however...
Almost everything was perfect; a really good stop on West Highland Way.
A very minor point, but my egg was overdone!
