Ashburn Hotel  

Příjemná lokalita, snadné cestování autobusy i metrem. Na Londýn nejen hezký, ale také příjemně velký pokoj. Ochota připravit přinesený pokrm na snídani /vzhledem ke stravovacím omezením - alergiím na potraviny, ... nebylo možné využít nabídku snídaňového bufetu/. Pestrý snídaňový bufet s nabídkou rozsáhlejší než kontinentální.

Extrémně dlouhá doby připravy pokrmu ve večerních hodinách. Obsluha měla na starost jen nás dva a ještě jeden pár. Příprava trvala min 35 minut aniž bychom byli upozorněni.

The location of the hotel was excellent. The tube station which was close to all central London amnities and it was very easy to get to all locations including access to and from Heathrow airport. The Hotel was very clean and it was nicely decorated. It looked well cared for and well maintained.

The cost would be prohibitive if you were to bring a family of five to Lodon and stay at this hotel. Even though it would be ideal for a family holiday due to its location.

We liked the overall location of the hotel, close to tubes, main shopping area, museums etc. The only downside was the lack of items in the mini bar fridge. As we went to a show and arrived back quite late, it would have been nice to have a cool drink in ur room before retiring. This is only a minor niggle, as we did manage to get a couple of cokes from the bar. We would have liked to extend our departure as we had a late flight out of Heathrow, but there was no room available. We just went across the road to the Holiday Inn and had a day room. The Ashburn's Doorman/Concierge was great and gave us good tips on how to get about etc.

The night staff were very helpful, we left the window open, the room was cold when we returned at midnight. We phoned reception and within minutes we had a portable radiator and a fixed fuse - so the normal heating came on too. The room was very clean and comfortable, a good size - nice hotel, great location.

Breakfast room is small and crowded - get there early.

I stay in a lot of West/Central London hotels which are mostly cramped and unsatisfactory. The Ashburn was a startling exception - a spacious, well-furnished room, a comfortable bed, all the facilities you need and a very good breakfast. We got it at a good price. My only quibble was that we didn't like the rather plump synthetic pillows but, as they very politely told us the following morning, they would have given us down pillows if we had asked. Absolutely excellent and I will go back there.

It was ideal for a city break and we had a good value deal with continental breakfast. It was also quiet and convenient to tube.

Ideal position for our needs, relaxing, quiet, clean and pleasant helpful staff. Great extras champagne, morning paper, toiletries & bottled water much appreciated.

Clean, comfortable bed and room, nicely tidied up each day. Excellent location near Gloucester Road tube; easy to get in to other parts of London. Polite, efficient staff. Able to leave luggage on check-out day to spend the full day in London. Lots of variety in food presented for breakfast: fruit salad, cheeses, cooked meats, rolls, sweet pastries and more. Coffee/tea-making facilities in room; nice toiletries provided; use of small safe in room.

As fourth-time visitors, we were not expecting to be given one of the rooms on the reception-level, which meant we were looking out onto a sub-street level wall and scaffolding. We did ask to be moved to a room on a higher floor, but reception claimed that the hotel was fully booked. The receptionist did suggest that we could request a different room on booking in future, and they would do their best to accommodate us. The room was slightly larger than some of the other rooms we have stayed in at the Ashburn, but not looking out onto the street is definitely less pleasant.

The concierge was extremely helpful. He found us theatre tickets and gave excellent directions and guidance. We loved the toiletries and daily gifts We would highly recommend it .

The breads at breakfast were not great. That is all

Excellent hotel, a real gem in the heart of Kensington and only 3 minutes to the Gloucester rd tube station where you can get the Picadilly line right into Covent Garden, Leicester Sq. Etc. The room (306) was super and the bed was really comfortable. Some of the rooms did seem a little smaller so ask for a larger room. Continental breakfast was lovely.

Not so much a complaint but the room was very warm and because of noisy traffic was really not an option to leave window open. We did leave it open all day while we were out and found that helped. We were on the third floor so safe to do so!!

Some of the furniture was tatty in places and carpets marked. Rooms cold no radiators only a electric heater, not enough power points and none at side of bed.
