Experience early 20th century architecture in this boutique luxury hotel. Breakfast was adequate, free drink in lounge for one hour and little presents a nice touch. Close walk to Gloucester tube and connection to Heathrow a big plus
As with the age the room was very small and air-conditioning could not be turned off
Staff friendly. Rooms were very quiet, well soundproofed. Location fantastic, near underground and restaurants.
Bed was too firm, sore back as a result. Continental breakfast lacked variety.
Great location, close to tube, restaurants and museums. Staff are friendly and helpful. Basement has a few smoking rooms with windows that open, which is great. Hotel has a small elevator, which is very convenient hauling luggage. Breakfast has nice selection of foods that are included in room rate. You can get cooked foods for extra money.
Carpets and some furniture becoming worn. Needs to be replaced.
Excellent location, clean, great breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff.
location to Gloucester tube
Good location, rooms clean and tidy, good service on arrival
A little dated.
Location was great Near a lot of restaurants & pubs Near Tube
Elevator broke down a couple of times
Near to museums, shops, parks, tube etc. Quiet room as requested, enjoyed stay. Will definitely recommend and use again
Sounds picky, but would have loved tomatoes with breakfast buffet, otherwise very good hotel
The look of the hotel, the staff were helpful. The room was small but lovely and had everything we needed.
The air conditioning switches off in middle of the night which usually wouldn't matter but it was a really warm day. Pillows weren't comfortable at all but they weren't the worst.
Very comfortable boutique hotel in a great location. Great value too. Would definitely stay again.
Location within few minutes of underground. Helpful reception & concierge. Good choice continental breakfast.
Used pots were not cleared at breakfast unless requested, which was a small problem especially as the tables were small.
The friendliness of staff. We were given a room upgrade. The complimentary glass of bubbly was most appreciated.
elena was very friendly lage war sehr praktisch.aber: was man wissen sollte- gloucester road tube station is closed for the picadilly line until december 2014!
"service" at breakfast- dusty curtains, (cleaning lady is not to be accused! just old stuff....carpet old and its colour too dark for this lovely room. its really hard to find a non dusty place in london, believe me, i know (10 years of london-travel-experience) concierge wasnt that friendly at all.
I used to travel to London frequently on business and the Ashburn is a superb hotel that provides the best value for the price. Room is spacious, decor is beautiful, comfortable bed, outstanding shower, free wi-fi, quiet and location couldn't be better just steps away from Gloucester Tube stop. Want to give a special call out to Shahram, the concierge who always went out of his way to provide excellent service. Highly recommend this hotel without hesitation and hope to be back soon. Well done Ashburn!!
wanted to charge me for late check out so had to walk around london with suitcase :(
Very warm welcome from the staff, it was our wedding anniversary and we were staying just one night after watching a Miss Saigon ( very good ) our room was excellent and paid only the price a premier or holiday inn !!! We enjoyed a complimentary drink and homemade chocolates. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was served in a lovely bright room and the continental breakfast was delicious with an excellent choice of fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, cereals etc although full english was available if required all served by very pleasant staff. Many thanks and we look forward to returning sometime in the future.
Cromwell road a little noisy if staying on that side of the hotel.
Location, size and the comfort of the room,WiFi service
Too many manitenance problems which were taken care off quite politely but with no effectiveness. Last thing one would like to do while on holiday is manging others while taking care of maintenace problems. The double bed was comprised of two single beds with too wide of a gap between them. There wqs not enough light in the bathroom and the lack of magnifying glass was noticed.
Good breakfast in nice setting. Good bed. Nice size room. Location was near the underground trains, nice neighborhood, quiet. Short pleasant walk to Kensington Palace.
Concierge wasn't very helpful. Wasn't up to date on new visiting policy at Buckingham Palace. Sometimes no one appeared to be around when we would return to hotel.
Small boutique hotel in an excellent location. Room was well appointed and comfortable. Very close to Gloucester tube station, supermarket, restaurants and museums. Great continental breakfast with friendly and professional service. Lovely surprise gift each day. We loved the area and enjoyed our stay.
Value for money
Great location - boutique hotel, very clean, beautiful bathroom and comfy beds. Free glass champagne every night. lovely hotel.
This was our third visit to the Ashburn which speaks for itself. Being a smaller hotel, one gets a better level of service, friendliness and quicker responses to any questions or problems that may occur. The little touches such as turn-down gifts and free glass of Prosecco in the lounge reflect the hotel's desire to make one feel welcome. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
Carpets in the public areas would benefit from being cleaned (or replaced).Being light-coloured, they reveal stains too easily which detracts from the overall level of cleanliness elsewhere in the hotel.
We found the staff very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast staff were particularly helpful. The apartment was brilliant and though we have travelled the World we have rarely found such comfort. Well done everyone. The drink in the evening made us feel special
Any problems were quickly overcome
location, staff (particularly concierge), breakfast, pleasant atmosphere
internet was very slow and in one day there was none, noise from the street despite the double windows
