Staff were all very friendly and obliging. Room was nice and comfortable. Was excellent value for money for last minute booking. Didn't get to eat there so can't comment on food or other facilities as weren't there long enough.
No facial tissues. Other needs met such as shampoo, slippers, robes etc so would have been good to have some. (that's if I didn't miss them!)
Staff very pleasant each time we have stayed at the hotel. Breakfast always well served by staff and very good choice off the menu.
It was good value and the staff were lovely.
The maintenance of the building needs some co-ordinated attention.
The location was good
The room we had was over the kitchen, which made the room to hot, the rooms and the rest of the hotel do need a magor revamp, as it hasn't changed since I left as I worked there many years ago. Breakfast should be complementary as they ar not realy worth £10, also I think you need to ask staff before they take payment off customers they need to show them the bill as I was charged for 4 lots of breakfast, when I was told that the bill was correct becouse the first lot of breakfast was for the previous morning, I explaind we did not arrive until 8.30, he replied well breackfast is served until 9.00 with a cheesy grin, but I did not arrive until 8.30 in the evening. Ok you canhave your £20 refund bless you
The hotel was ideal for us and was very relaxing and quite away from the busier tourist areas. It was easy to park safely and to travel to other areas. The staff were excellent. Excellent breakfast and dinners. T^he bar had Guines and a real ale on tap.
Some staff were excellent! Option of not having breakfast meant we could lie in for a much needed rest. The hotel was very clean
Creaky floorboards and bangy doors in the corridoors. Some staff were off hand.
The quiet situation of the hotel.gardens well kept.Staff very helpful.Unbeknown to us at the time we had the bridle suite which had a view over gardens-scrub land but tidy.
A bit dated but was clean.Breakfast finished too early.
The room was very clean and comfortable.
It would have been great to have had breakfast included, even if just a continental breakfast. The dining room was very pleasant, but we never ate there.
Clean, comfortable, fair price and close to a nice beach.
The walls are quite thin so we could hear the chap next door snoring (and he could probably hear our daughter crying!). The shower wasn't very powerful. Certain areas were starting to look tired, but you could see that they were maintaining the hotel.
The rooms were spacious and very clean. Nice views to the mountains. The quality of sleep is excellent, without any noise and nothing to disturb you.
The breakfast is correct but could be improved, a little bit scarce in general. The shower is not very good with a weak stream.
The location as it was right next to ashburnham golf club which was the purpose of our trip
We stayed in room number 8 which was like sauna. It was just so hot in the corridor outside & just as hot inside our room. Food not great & very expensive.
The room had sky tv although a basic package. The location suited us because it is the closest hotel to my parents house, we'd have stayed elsewhere but the Llanelli area was mostly booked up because our stay clashed with the Eisteddfod.
Paid £80 for a double room and then had to pay another £10 for a bed for our 6 year old daughter even though we'd booked it on a 2 adults + 1 one 6 year old basis. So £90 which did not include breakfast. Breakfast was £10 (!) per head so we'd have been looking at £120 with breakfast. For less than that kind of money in Ireland you'd be staying in a hotel with a spa. The Ashburnham has no real facilities to justify its pricing. Next time we'll book one of the premier inns in Llanelli.
great place to relax....nice staff and clean room
Kindness of staff
No elevator. Noise of music during wedding (till 1am)
Room was lovely comfy and clean...
Room was a little warm but it was a hot summers day/nite....
Very reasonable price. Good location.
Wedding taking place on Friday and disco underneath our room was on till midnight. Could not sleep before then with noise. Breakfast not worth £10 each. Only had it one morning of our stay. Had the wait a long time for it to be cooked.
Cleanliness excellent Bed/bedding/towels etc excellent Spacious room and bathroom Friendly and helpful staff
Breakfast was appalling and an expensive add on to the room price. The sound of the disco and very noisy wedding guests inside and out until late and again early in the morning.! Broken fittings in the bathroom
The hotel is classed as AA 3 star and certainly lives up to this. It is clean and tidy with lovely rooms and in a quiet location. Parking is ample. The Friday night carvery was excellent value.
Breakfast is £10 per person per night I had a full, large, cooked breakfast, including tea and toast in Burry Port for £6. If you are planning to stay at week-end, check if there is a wedding on. There was one on our Sat. evening, but the music did stop exactly on midnight.
Friendly staff made our stay very enjoyable. We'll be back soon.
Excellent breakfast. Staff flexible and friendly.
My room was too warm. Window opening restricted and fan didn't work. Nowhere to sit and read a book. Sleep interrupted by seagulls on roof from 5.30 am.
nice size rooms, good food and service, entire hotel very clean and well looked after, plenty of free parking, fantastic breakfast.
wedding party had music playing till 1am and the bedroom was bouncing with the noise from it so no sleep till 1 am so find out first if there is a wedding on when u book
the hotel itself is lovely, its spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly without being in your face. Nice big car park, and the hotel itself is located near to Pembrey Country Park and Carmarthen which is excellent for shopping. The bedrooms were decorated lovely and had all the things we needed for our one night stay. I would defo stay here again if in the area.
The bedroom was far too hot, the air con wasn't working but they had put a fan in our room which did nothing to cool us down. We opened the windows fully to get in some air but there was a vent outside of our window from the kitchen below which was very noisy all night. however if I stay there again I will ask for a different room. Apart from that I would definately recommend this hotel.
Very comfortable room (with a desk!); nice restaurant, bar, pub grub and Grolsch beer. Ample off-road parking.
Nothing this visit. A room with a desk awaited my return visit.
Friendly and helpful staff
Nothing not to like
- Spacious family room - Large bathroom - Kettle with plenty of tea & coffee
- Shower only provided a trickle of hot water - Wedding party downstairs was quite loud until around 11pm - One of the receptionists on the Sunday morning shift was very unfriendly. She refused to keep my backpack at the hotel as we went to the beach for the day. Luckily her manager stepped in and sorted it out, thank you.
