Beautiful location Mediocre food. Restaurant needs refreshment (old paint and curtains; icy atmosphere as a result of use of white eco-lighting). Walks in the park not maintained and badly signposted. |

The hotel is beautiful! It looks like a massive castle, staff are all exceptionally friendly and kind. The grounds are immaculate and plenty of areas to explore or relax in. Plenty of wildlife too (very cute rabbits!!) I didn't want to leave. After being sick since arriving from overseas and spending a night here I felt so much better. |

Beautifful location, the general ambiance was fantastic and I think all the stafff were making a bit and friendly effort. I thought the service at the restaurant and the bar area outside was a bit slow and perhaps not enough staff working...Also when I ordered some wine about 3 of my preferred choices were not chilled.. I think you need a bigger wine fridge! |

I loved the stunning setting of the hotel, the beautiful building and the history, it was wonderful to see the deer roaming in the grounds. The fact that there was not some sort of bistro style restaurant for guests who want a less formal dining experience but want more than a 'snack in the lounge'. |

Very Peacefull and relaxing You need to book the Restaurant before you go as nothing is near by and the Restaurant is very popular. The Hotel should advertise this. |

The majority of staff were very friendly and helpful. The setting was beautiful and very relaxing for a weekend escape away from work. I particulalrly enjoyed breakfast followed by a relaxing walk around the grounds and a game of croquet. Two chamber maids who entered our room to turn the bed covers and decided to have a very loud chat amongst themselves. I alomost felt like leaving the room to let them get on with it. |
