Ashdown Park Hotel  

I came to stay for 2 nights over weekend with 3 friends. We booked 1 night before arrival and therefore did not get a chance to explore all extras the hotel has got to offer. However the spa treatments we did managed to book were absolutely superb! We could not be happier with our experience overall, all the staff was absolutely wonderful: friendly, helpful and sincerely thoughtful. We definitely should be back soon!

Cant really think of anything. The only comment I would like to give on behalf of my friends and myself is that the restaurant menu was quite limited. We had lovely dinners there both evenings (all the complimentary dishes were greatly apreciated) but felt that it would be difficult to make a choice for the third time if we stayed longer and the menu did not change.

We had wonderful weekend at ash down park hotel. The facilities were excellent, the food wonderful and the staff a credit to the hotel. It was a pity the weather stopped us from strolling in the grounds, but makes it a perfect excuse for us to come back!

I didn't think the staff service was up to 4*. The reception check in was a bit amateur; slows to be served a drink in bar before dinner (in fact a later arrival got served first); when they bought the sole to carve offt the bone at the hotel they had to ask which one of us it was for - in the best restaurants they would have known who'd ordered it without asking. Gym slightly disappointing.

Lovely location/grounds and excellent leisure facilities

Disapointment considering sister hotel to The Grand Eastbourne, breakfast poor and no bread at all.

Excellent Dining Experience. Lovely outdoor terrace to room where deer were grazing outside. Converted Priory so lots of history attached to function rooms, communal areas and bedrooms. Beautifully kept grounds, very attentive and accommodating staff.

No major gripes - some rooms are a long way from the reception and dining areas and the nature of the history of the hotel (former convent) means there are no lifts so people with disabilities may have to request specific ground floor rooms.

Not too far from home, nice room, elite facility, quality staff, quiet surroundings with a possibility of seeing wildlife (especially deer) every day. Well presented dining facilities and good food, will visit again

We couldn't have a table for dinner at the hotel's restaurant and didn't want to take the car again to find a local restaurant. So we ended up in the lounge with a burger. It was ok but we would have preferred a better Saturday dinner!
