The attention to detail, presentation of food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble.
old old 1604 house with lots of character
The personal welcome, attention to detail to cover every possible comfort. Clean, warm and cosy. Excellent presentation and decoration. Location the best to access village amenities, walks and countryside.
Having to leave.
Property was brilliant hosts and staff were just so friendly and accomodating. Had a good sleep in a lovely room. Breakfast was good too.
The location, The room The shower
Tight car parking spaces No local staff, Welcoming act from Maltese owner at breakfast.
Comfort friendliness of staff
No wifi in bedroom no phone signal in house More fruit and cereal at breakfast
Everything from it's place in the village to the friendly owners / staff.
Having to go home.
very kind and friendly couple that made us both feel at home
Staff was incredibly friendly and polite, place was very organised and incredibly clean, food was excellent. Everything was perfect.
Nothing, everything was excellent.
The location in Grassington was very good as my husband cannot walk too far and we found plenty of nice shops nearby.
Very helpful and obliging staff. Clean and comfortable accommodation
The property has an excellent location and benefits from a couple of cosy lounges. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable
The only minor drawback is the parking arrangement. If Ashfield House were full, parking on site would be a problem. Since it has an excellent location in the centre of Grassington, there are very few alternative spaces in the centre and one would have to park away from the property
Comfortable bed and nice view of garden. Quiet location. Excellent breakfast.
Small room for size of bed and bathroom not attached to room but this was described accurately at time of booking.
The atmosphere. The feel of a home.
Painted stone window mullions ! I'm a purist with period property.
Warm welcome and very attentive staff, always there if you needed advice, lovely room and lounge with a bar and meals if you wanted to eat there, thank you Joe and Elizabeth, you are great company
Maybe need some Wi Fi boosters
Good location in centre of village. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food delicious. Premises full of character and interesting objects
Not a dislike as such but the building is centuries old and as such space is at a premium so be prepared for low doors etc.
Lovely guest house in the middle of grassington run by Joe and Elizabeth, they were excellent hosts as were Rosa and the rest of the staff, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were made to feel very welcome and at home. Loved playing with Buddy too although I tired of throwing his ball before he got fed up, lol
Excent staff joe landlord was really pleasant and helpfull food was excellent lovely location and lovely grounds couldn't of had a nicer place to stay.
Their is nothing bad to say.
The coffee waiting on check-in
The cost of dinner (£30)
The owners and staff made every effort to ensure that my stay was a success - which it was! They were very gracious the night I arrived because I was held up in heavy traffic and arrived very late. Despite the fact they had had to stay up for me they put me at my ease and made me very welcome
I liked everything
The staff were brilliant, very kind and helpful. The area is stunning, cant wait to return
There was an exceptional attention to detail regarding client comfort and facilities had obviously been 'road tested' Food was excellent both at breakfast and the one dinner we had, though the latter at a fixed price of £30 for three courses plus coffee was more than we would normally eat which is why we only had one. An attempt is made at dinner to create a house party atmosphere with everyone meeting in the lounge for drinks (honesty box) and coffee afterwards. This worked well for us and we had some interesting conversations with the other two couples present. It could be extended to a communal table in the dining room except all the tables would need to be rectangular (to fit together) and some are round. I appreciate that such intimacy might not suit everyone but I've seen it work well at a few larger establishments in the past. Altogether good value in an excellent location with adequate but tight parking (in a village where parking is a problem). I am happy to recommend it.
There is a slight feeling of ott about the place, difficult to define but food served with gloved hands is a trifling example.
Bedroom and bathroom extremely small. Breakfast not very inspiring for a 5 star venue. parking very tight and difficult of access.
A charming historic house set in quiet seclusion at the centre of Grassington. Rooms are comfortable, food good, and with a well kept private garden in which to stroll.
nothing to dislike.
Friendly welcome from the proprietor Joe.Lovely old word décor and the availability of parking.Good choice of breakfast.
