Score from 356 reviews Good
Excellent free fast network access Nothing was too much trouble for the owners.
WC needed attention - couldn't stop water running which disturbed sleep. Bed had springs that made loud noises when you turned over.
Good value for money, good location, for a budget stay it was excellent
room a little too hot even in October. The radiator could have done with a thermostat so that we could adjust the temperature , but fan provided cooled us down
room was okay, it had a balcony amd link to d backyard. food was okay
bad service in terms of staff, poor surrounding, not clean, no proper management, no form of assistance or care if you have a complain, no point of booking ahead, no value for money
Staff very friendly and helpful. Within walking distance of city center but also on a bus route. Wi-fi worked well in my room. Lovely breakfast.
Staff are very flexible and cater to every need Bed and linen smelt fresh Sufficient walking around room space Parking was easy as hotel had its own car park Amazingly cheap and booked at last minute.
I only spent a night there
This hotel was great value for money. The beds were very comfortable and access to a fridge and microwave in the room was useful. The room was clean and inviting. Breakfast was beautifully prepared.
The carpet in the room we occupied was not quite fitted correctly. The bathroom door needs a little attention as it would not stay closed without locking it.
Room was very well equipped. For a single room, the bed was huge and comfortable. The free Wifi was fast inside the room. Lots of cabinets and cupboards to put stuff. Service was friendly!
From the train station, it's 15 min walk, but upslope. Might get tiring at the end of a long day. But I suppose almost all hotels at Huddersfield are like that, since it's such a hilly town.
comfy bed. jacuzzi bath n very spacious. definately use this hotel again.
Hotel seemed very clean Breakfast was good
Our attic room (112) was the same price as other standard rooms and whereas ours felt like a student bedsit the others were quite lavish, large and included baths all for the same cost - however due to a large group coming into the hotel at 4am and proceeding to shout, slam doors, chat etc...until 8am none of our family (we had 4 rooms booked) had a good stay no matter what the room was like. Although we complained in the morning we were just told that they would not let that group stay again!
Local to city centre
Rooms were unclean with cobwebs in one of the room. Decoration was 1960 style and window frames rotting away and room smelt. No hot drinks from room service and shower cubical too small. We were let down by the Advertisement on the internet when booking, place was never like how it was described on the net. will not be going there again or be able to recommend to others.
good design, nice landlord, comfortable.
15 minutes walk from train station, and the road is uphill, a little bit tired.
Provides excellent value for money. The owners are a lovely couple who were very accommodating and helpful.
Clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast and friendly owners.
Very friendly, helpful and obliging people. Nothing too much trouble.
There were somebody else's pants in the draw
family run b&b , the staff were very accomodating, we were in huddersfield for a wedding and they had our rooms ready early so we could check in before heading into town for the wedding. We were very comfortable and breakfast was delicious
perhaps a little tricky parking in the carpark if you have a big car
Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast good for price. Cheap.
Decor was poor. Not particularly clean and lots of evidence of bodged repairs. Impossible to wash face in sink because of shelf placed above it in a bathroom that was 3 feet wide. Had the feel of student digs in the 70's. I guess you get what you pay for!
We went into Huddersfield a few times during our stay. A nice town and within easy walking distance. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was nice and offered many options.
I had to change dirty bed sheets by myself at arrival. Monotonous breakfast. Window blocked.
Large comfortable rooms and relaxed atmosphere
No phone signal inside the building
The size and facility's of the room was very good and would be very comfortable for a longer stay than the one night that we stayed
The room was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable
The hotel would benefit from modernisation
The warmth and willingness to help of the staff-owners, the service provided, the good breakfast selection....
Service was prompt and no quibble, the room we stayed in was perfect. The owner provided freindly service for family and young children.
The room we were first given due to room we booked was somehow given out. For owner: This room needed major attention, we would have not been happy to stay in this room even if it was free! An example too dark damp smell and not clean and did not feel secure with children, You have a wonderful place however there are some little touches and improvements to make this into a good to an excellent quality hotel...
Was only a short walk to town.
