Room was good and spacious, internet worked well
Food on the restarant was not as shown on the menu
Very comfortable room, helpful, friendly staff, efficient service and good location.
Nothing - all good.
The location was great and easy to find. Guy who checked us in was really helpful. Unfortunately didn't have time to use the pool or spa facilities but all looked really clean and welcoming. Huge free car park which is a bonus.
Our room (257) was next to the corridor doors which were quite noisey with people coming and going. Also overlooked a garden and people on their mobiles there chatting away at midnight is a bit annoying! Nothing hotel can do about that other than ask guests to be aware of it ....
Nearly all of it
We have been there about 10 times and they always let them selfs down by severing a nearly cold breakfast.
Not a lot. Nothing to make it stand out.
Just like a hundred other mid price hotels with a 4 star rating that should be 3 star IMHO.
Great location. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and spacious rooms. Good breakfast.
Breakfast was a bit manic, because there were 2 coach parties of people. This made it very crowded, when using the self service breakfast buffet, and waiting for tea & coffee to be served.
The room was lovely and clean with everything in it you could want. Bed was lovely and comfortable and very quiet. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
There was nothing negative about our stay
location to our venue was good. Staff were nice Room was good Room price was good for a weekend stay
Restaurant was a bit worn looking. Seats dirty. Food average Lack of atmosphere
Nice, well equipped hotel.
No table available in the restaurant as full.
The room was very well presented and clean. The facilities provided were good and the bed very comfortable. The bar area and the sitting out areas were very comfortable and relaxing.
On arrival at 2000hrs we informed the staff that we had a table booked for 2030 would it be possible to hold it for a while later and were in formed that it was not possible. On arriving at the restaurant at 2030 told table not ready take a seat at bar. Waited for 15 min and then enquired to be told sorry forgot all about you!! Finally received our starter at 2110. Not what was expected from a 4 star hotel.
I found our three day stay a positive experience, we travelled by boat from Jersey ,for my daughters engagement, so was tired after drive,on arrival and the greeting from Hayley was perfect, the cleanliness of the room was exceptional, couldn't of been better and dinner was of a good standard ,as was the Chateau wine,
Not staying longer
breakfast was very nice, good choices
Staff were pleasant. Gardens well looked after. Room was comfortable and very clean although the matteress was a bit too soft for us. But very quiet. Breakfast was very good and plentiful with wide selection - well cooked.
It did seem to lack a little "sparkle" - some small maintenance issues, not looked after eg one or two of the rubber window seals not in place properly, and the extractor fan in the bathroom did not seem to work, leaving a lot of steam and some condensation.
I liked the pool and the jacuzzi.
The sofa bed for the children was a little bit not comfortable.
Very friendly and helpful reception staff (but see the "didn't like" for other staff problems.) Good, comfortable facilities and good value.
Staff at breakfast on our second morning (Wednesday 13th August) were slow and not really coping with customers. We waited ages to order coffee and tea and then had to find a staff member to specifically request it - others who arrived after us were served before. Then chaos at the next table where two staff members had allocated it to two different customers. I felt very sorry for the German couple who got "bumped" off that table since they were there first. A rather loud, pushy English customer agressively took over. I hope it wasn't the Germans first impression of English service!
Upon arrival at the hotel we obviously met with the receptionist who seemed to be kind and very attentive with serving us. We were booking in as we had just come from a wedding that we had been to as gusets and it was 1am in the morning. I can understand that there is a limited amount to do as there is hardly anything open and things become quiet at this time - but we couldnt help feeling slightly intimidated by the two members of staff sitting at the end of reception desk smiling and giggling. We were then given our key to our room (room 111) and started making our way. To our shock horror upon opening the door (and this has never happened to me before in the history of booking into hotels) - there were a couple in bed sleeping!!! After a quick exit back to reception and returning the key and awaiting the receptionist from coming back to see if the next room was available; we were checked into room 124. We arrived at room 124 extremely tired and slightly nervous but got in safely. With our disgust the toilet had not been flushed and cleaned, we then when we did flush the toilet, it started backing up all night. Along with that there was mould over the ceiling in the bathroom above the bath area. I also had to keep turning the air conditioner on again - but this could have been a normal thing. Overall not happy at all!!!
Room Bar Breakfast Staff
Lighting in room Towels on the thin side
reasonable priced hotel and fairly good facilities.
one evening noticed our bed had just been covered but not properly made identified when turning the bed back and discovering the sheets all crumpled and creased as we left them that morning. meals were rather inflated price wise.
Good staff - very helpful and attentive. Easy location to get to - on outskirts of town. Good breakfast choice (not necessarily the best quality, however). One staff member (Hannah) was especially good. She arranged for us to have our breakfast in the foyer area so we could have our dog with us (he would have barked the place down if left in the room). That sort of thing makes all the difference. Well done!
Rowdy bar on arrival was off-putting (didn't really impact us in reality). Room décor a bit weird/ dated. Very large feeling hotel with very large public areas so felt a bit....soulless? Décor generally a bit suspect.
Good hotel to spend one-two nights, almost all features and services are consistent to four star hotel
Location far from city, Wi-Fi slow, minibar is not available
Convenient and comfortable. Price good for room provided.
Food was just OK.
I have to complain the service I received on 5th Aug 2014 when I stay in ashford international hotel. We stayed in room 303 that night.my husband and I got bite by bed bugs all over our body! I'm 39 weeks pregnant and had my baby the next day. I can't believe we paid £110 to get all the bites! The worst things is the bites cause allergic to me and I can't hold my baby because I worry that she will got affected by the cream to stop allergy. Such a bad experience! How can they call themselves 4 stars!
Such bad cleaning! Bed bugs alert!
Lovely decor. Excellent facilities. Good breakfast with vegetarian sausages available
I hardly slept. I noticed there was a party with noisy people in the bar when we arrived at the hotel approximately 1am in the morning. I believe they must all have been placed in bedrooms on the same floor as us. When they went to bed they were extremely inconsiderate. They were raising their voices, banging doors, knocking on doors and being very loud in all ways. I felt angry that we were put on the same floor as the party people.
