The restaurant was good and the hotel is lying good for visiting more places around like coast, ashton, canterbury, elmsley etc Every day we had to go to the desk 2 or 3 times as our key card did not work properly. We told several times the wires looks loose bu apparantley they refuse to listen. Every time we complained they told a story at the desk and wish a nice day. So they do not listen very well....that should be better. But it kept me fit as I uses the stairs everytime and not the lift, but it should not be in a hotel of yr class !!!

Not friendly with cooperate clients. Reception was not friendly or helpful. Were more concerned about procedures at the expense of service. I would not take my guests there again. Holiday Inn is s lot more friendly in handling our corporate requirements

Room very comfortable and quiet though close to busy motorway.Reception service very pleasant. The service in restaurant is appalling, specially at night. The restaurant at night is supposed to be a "gourmet" restaurant and is expensive (London prices), though the decor is not! We ordered a salmon and it took them 30 minutes to tell us there was no more (they proposed a cod for the same price :£15.00!). We already had waited 30 minutes to give the order. We left and went somewhere else.As we are house hunting, we stayed 2 times one week and our experiences were similar with the restaurant. They have contract with tourist coaches and are totally understaffed. They should have an alternative restaurant with more reasonable prices. We won't recommend for a longer stay because of the food situation. For a short stay, it is all right if you are not using the restaurant. The rooms are large and quite nice.

Quality of food and service in restaurant. Lack of staff at check-in. Only one member of staff on duty at check-in with 10+ in the queue. The staff member was efficient and welcoming but she needed another member of staff in support.

It was ok but see below! This is an 80's (?) built hotel that has been given a makeover mostly in mauve paint that hasn't really had the desired effect. It is ok for a one night stay but the restaurant is overpriced and the breakfast is nothing out of the ordinary!

Rooms were spacious and modern. Useful having an iron in the room. Hotel was quiet espcially for the size and public space . Breakfast was 10/10. There was a nice size pool, sauna , whirl pook and heated loungers and steam room. The back and shoulder massage was excellent and the therapist informative and professional. Nice coffee lounge. Plenty of public and circulaiton space 5 mins drive to the shopping outlet and town center. Corridors did not appear to be heated. Bathroom only heated by towel rail which is ok in spring but in winter not good. The television settings seamed to always take you past the pay to view channels as every time you put the tv on. Some staff were indifferent to my presence and did not step up to see if I needed anything. My greatest irration was the number of children in the sauna and whirl pool despite the notices giving parents a steer. The hotel very much served the international railway station and that was very much reflected with some of the guests. The relaxation room in leisure are was pleasant but was unfortunately used to park people waiting for treatments.

We were very pleased to discover this hotel. After a long day travelling in Europe and through the tunnel it provided a very good ambience for relaxing. Will definitely stay there again. Dog-friendly too!

Breakfast was very good. Lots of variety and good quality. We stayed in a twin room and the rooms were big enough for two people to open up both their bags. We didn't like the soundproofing. We could hear people using the bathroom in the next room and also people walking about on the floor above us.

Good value for money - competitive price with decent facilities. Food was good Should provide more information on what is nearby the hotel - potential jogging / walking routes, nearby restaurants or pubs etc.

Having stayed here previously the hotel always exceeds my expectation for a business chain. Clean, warm, friendly with surprisingly good food. The staff are very young , very willing and could use a little more training.

It was close to Eureka parks with all the restaurants and cinema. The hotel was clean and customer friendly. We particularly enjoyed the spa facilities as it was within the hotel. Room service was good. When using the spa facilities you could not just go up to your room in your robe as too many business conferences going on, a private passage would have been more suitable. The restaurant menu did not look very appetising
