I travel away on business at once every week and seldom if ever have I stayed in a hotel which lived up to its reputation and the comments left by others. This small hotel did. It was very comfortable, and newly refubished with good common amenities - bar /lounge /restaurant /garden. The food was excellant in quality and variety with a good wine list to compliment it. The Staff and owner were friendly and provided a good level of service. My wife and I had a very good stay and do intend to visit again with friends.

We felt at home at the ash hotel and it is a relaxing Hotel to stay at not to big with nine bedrooms. The Consevatory was great to eat in overlooking the garden which is most attractive rural with lovely old trees. Our Friends joined us both evenings for Dinner they lived in Yeovil so it is not that far out.Our friends and other guests we spoke to were all impressed and said they would come again. They have two chiefs that done us proud with the Breakfast and black pudding down from Scotland and free range eggs. Our Dinner at night was excellent and creative Gordon the owner was hands on and has done a wonderful job so far bringing the old house to life.He had time for everyone in his busy day we wish him further success in any other renovation he may want to undertake in the future. The pictures, flower arangements and plants were an added bonas to the feel of the place we hope one day to return Good Luck Gordon.and team Kind regards Bill & Gwen Coles rustington sussex Super weekend Thankyou

All staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The hotel was clean throughout. Food quality was excellent and utilised quality local ingredients at both breakfast and dinner. Relaxing and airy garden. Dog-friendly. The bedroom was well-equipped and comfortable for a short-break. The double-bedroom was ideal for our short-break, but would be a little small for a longer stay.

+ Very dog friendly, spacious superior room, good breakfast, nice walks close by. - Hotel needs refurb, offered upgrade as a goodwill gesture by owner due to the double we had booked being very small, but then charged for. Hotel situated on noisy road.

We had a wedding to attend on the day of checking in and so the hotel allowed us to check in a couple of hours early. Excellent service, lovely room and location. Fresh milk for the tea/coffee in the room, which I've not seen before. I would definitely stay there again.
