The location was good for walking into the city, large car park. Comfortable clean rooms. Breakfast was good too.
our room was on the lower ground floor (in the basement) and next to the restaurant so a bit noisy first thing on the Sunday morning. Also noisy people above us, but that's not the hotels fault.
The room was spacious The location was only a short walk from the town centre. A friendly pub with good food was within 100M
Sometimes we could hear the guest above us moving around.
Great location in town. Quiet and nice breeze with the window open.
No elevator and lots of steps. Had to lug a 45 pound suitcase up 3 flights of stairs.
Location is good, staff is quite nice and the room is clean and bedding is comfortable.
At room WiFi is really bad.
Loved hotel, parking, location, key access to all doors, comfy bed, lovely breakfast & Gerald who booked us in on 11th October was a delight
Close to the town no need to take the car anywhere. Pub opposite with good food.
Very good cooked breakfast Friendly staff Nice comfortable bad. Two armchairs as well as a well lit desk with own chair
Easy location. Comfortable room. Good value.
A lot of stairs - wife was on crutches.
Easy reach of town centre if you enjoy walking
bathroom rather small, nowhere to store anything
great location with parking
very clean, comfortable, lots of bedding, good information about facilities wifi etc. Excellent parking
Not being told about having to travel to Arundal House to check in before 5pm. Information on the website or email would have been good. The notice on the door didn't explain, and I thought it looked like a dodgy hostel at first!
Location, light rear room. Good breakfast, freshly cooked. Pleasant staff.
I spent 3 nights at this hotel. It's a simple place, very clean and quite. Friendly helpful staff, good breakfast and WiFi Internet connection.
Room was clean. Location was good, about a mile from the city centre. Staff at the Ashley Hotel were pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were good and freshly cooked. Excellent value for money.
we had to check in at the Ashley's sister hotel, which we were unaware of, though according to the very curt receptionist this was on Booking.com. The shower was hard to switch on, the knob kept coming off. The light in the bathroom flickered for a minute or two before it came on. The wifi access was hit or miss and kept going off.
Very good breakfast and comfortable room. Perfectly adequate for my requirements. Good parking, free Wifi
Room was airless without any air circulation. Opening window would have meant noisy night from busy road immediately outside room. Advice on exiting building not easy to understand as hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren
Location, cleanliness, comfortable bed and lovely breakfast.
We were not made aware that to check in before 5pm at The Ashley we needed to go to the sister hotel, The Arundel, even though we parked our car at The Arundel in the morning and made enquiries about check in and were told we could check in after 3pm.
breakfast clean room great location spacious carpark
Good location Excellent WIFI
Poor room ventilation
location was handy due to proximity to town centre and the park.
The staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. The room was grubby and dated, too hot and full of flies. Had to sleep with the window open which meant a lot of road noise.
Everything was OK with my selection to stay there. Please make clear in your site that there is a good bus connection with the Cambridge city centre.
The unique negative of this hotel was that, it was necessary to check-in in Arundel hotel and it was not clearly denoted or observed during the booking process.
Walking to the city centre across Jesus Green was pleasant - but watch out for the cyclists! Breakfast was good.
Shower above bath didn't work. Room was too warm (in spite of open window) to sleep comfortably and there was noise from Chesterton Road.
Very convenient for City centre. General ambience was good throughout.
Having to collect key from main hotel, if raining would have been very awkward.
Lovely old house Spacious room, large bath Quiet in spite of street Nice pub nearby Easy walk to middle of town
Checkin at Arundel House Many stairs
Location, clean room, great breakfast.
Good location and good value for the money. Good breakfast too.
When we checked in I had to walk down the road to a different hotel to register and then walk back. It was not convenient. Also we were on the top floor and there was no elevator.
