This hotel had everything we needed for a base camp when exploring Cambridge. Clean, helpful staff and lovely breakfast included.
Parking available. Town within walking distance. We had family room, which was spacious and clean. P
The breakfast is really nice.
The place for check in is not in this hotel and there is no any signs near the hotel or on the road，i wasted lots of time to find the real place for check in.
very clean very good choice of breakfast
Were made to feel very welcome by staff. Thankyou debs!
Breakfast was very good
Fair price for Cambridge. Free parking Pretty good location Decent sized room
The location is not bad. And there is a guest area with armchairs where you can sit together outside your room.
We asked for rooms close together and even called to get this confirmed. We got rooms on the top floor, the ground floor and the next building. At breakfast staff gave us the impression that they are not interested in guests at all. Setting up an empty table again to be able to sit together with the family turned out to be almost impossible. When asked for more coffee by another guest they acted annoyed. On another table they told guests that brown toast is out - but there's a Co-Op directly opposite and when the guests told them that it would take only three minutes to get new toast, they completely ignored. The shower has seen much better times. We noted cobwebs inside and outside at the windows. Clean looks different…
The ground floor room, we had some heavy luggage, also the excellent off road parking!
Unfortunately we did not get the message that there was no reception ( we had no access to emails) and had to walk to the Arundel to check in. We were already hot & tired from travelling.
Spacious room was awesome. Nearby pub and grocery store. Main roadway access. Private parking. Comfortable bed.
No A/C on a hot night, but typical for most area hotels. Requested baby bed in our booking, but was not in our room on arrival. Had to wait on the bed a bit to put the little one to bed. Minor issue in the grand scene of things.
Staff were friendly and our room was spotless. Hotel location was ideal for getting around Cambridge. Good secure car parking and a wide range of shops close by. We will definitely be staying here again.
The size of the room which was a family room there was loads of space. The bed was huge and comfy. The bathroom was nice and roomy too and the bath was a good size. Good location and bus service from outside the hotel.
The room was too hot with a lot of traffic noise. The pillows need replacing as they were not very comfy and I found it difficult to sleep on them. Carpet had a few stains and one of the windows was cracked. One of the ladies at breakfast needs to strengthen her customer service skills as she came over as rather rude and not bothered. There was also a lot of mould on the blind in the bathroom so that could be replaced.
- it was simple, but in a good way because there's everything you need - the rooms are pretty sound proof - Easy to get to Cambridge town - A Co-Op opposite the hotel
- there was a note saying we needed to check in at Arundel hotel, which I went to but there were staff already at Asley Hotel so I had to go back to Ashley Hotel. - The checking out process wasn't very clear...
Good location. Good size room.
Very hot room on ground floor so couldn't leave windows open. Had to check in and leave luggage at Arundel House hotel down the road, staff not amazingly keen to be helpful. No fruit at breakfast.
Too hot- now room fan or airconditioning no sound proofing
The fact we were not told that we had to collect key from nearby hotel. We were very tired when we arrived and this was an extra effort.
Staff and location.
Non-airconditioned room number1 was unbearably hot. A fan/heater was provided but it made little difference. Two uncomfortable nights. Until room upgraded, a good tower fan needed in summer months.
Access to cafes and bars
Room was comfortable and specious Breakfast was decent
Had to pick up the keys at different hotel Room wasn't available until after 3 pm
Very good breakfast. Handy parking in the backyard. Nice walk by the river to the city centre.
The procedure to get the key from the sister hotel was cumbersome wihtout the exact address.
Location - close to Cambridge city centre and ring road, easy to find, good parking (rare for an inner-city B & B). Very comfortable and attentive staff.
Having to check in at one hotel nearby (Arundel Hotel) and to stay in another (Ashley). Wi-fi didn't work properly on the first few attempts.
Bathroom is very small.
Comfortable, good location and parking
No Internet in room, had to go to stairwell
Quiet, nice, clean.
The reception is 700m from the hotel, in the Arundel Hotel. Go there first or be prepared for a 1500m-walk with your baggages...
Location ear centre . Very peaceful room at rear. Excellent value
No reaction at hotel at any time. Steep stairs, no lift. Shower tray needs new silicone.
