Ashley Hotel  

Great location, comfortable room with a huge bed! Breakfast was good quality and served promptly.

Lack of bar / restaurant. Shower head was blocked / dirty.

Spacious room with good free off street parking. All the staff were very courteous and very pleasant and demonstrated an interest that the customers stay in the hotel was a good experience

The bed was too soft. The free Internet was running slow.

We found the hotel clean and comfortable, especially the bathroom which was exceptionally clean. The breakfast was good and parking facilities were good.

Having to make a 10 minute walk in the rain (nowhere to park) in order to collect our key card for the Ashley at it's parent hotel, the Arundel.

Delicious breakfast. Staff helpful and friendly. When we called attention to a clogged bathroom drain, we were told it would be taken care of that day. And it was!!!

Excellent location overlooking Jesus Park in the middle of Cambridge

One smll gripe, slight mould and paint peel in the shower unit but the rest of the room/bathroom spotless

Big room and secure car park at the back.

Don't like carpet in the toilet. How they keep clean...? Should upgrade outside building just a new paint will make it look good.

Basic, noisy, lack of attention to detail. Draughty windows, overflowing shower. Don't stay in room 11 by the back door you won't sleep!

The room was comfortable and spacious. Staff were friendly and everything worked. Free internet.

There is no reception - so you have to get your key from another hotel nearby. Not a great problem, though.

Cooked breakfast good. Receptionist from the main hotel came very promptly to see us when she realised that there was a problem with the intercom and my mother etc.

Check-in 10 minutes down the road. The print out said check-in from 3pm and that is where it should have given this info - not right at the bottom. I would not have booked if I had realised this because my elderly mother could not walk that much. Furthermore, the intercom to reception at the main hotel was not working properly.

We only stayed for two nights so are not really in a position to offer an indepth review. It was comfortable, warm and offered a hearty breakfast. Off street parking.

Good location, free car parking, helpfulness of staff who let us keep one of the rooms on a bit longer so those who had run in the half marathon could shower and change free of charge. excellent breakfast we could not do justice to!

slightly strange layout where the uppermost floors are reached by first going down a flight a stairs along two corridors and back up a long staircase. It was ok just a bit odd

The room and bathroom was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was very handy for the centre of town which is a 20 mins pleasant, leisurely stroll away. Good sized free car park and breakfast was lovely. Good pub a stone's throw away called the Old Spring has a log fire. Altogether very good value and better than some more expensive but shabby town centre hotels.

Booking in is a bit of a faff. We couldn't find the Arundel for booking in so eventually someone met us at the Ashley and all was well.
