On the banks of the Avon River, Old Mill Hotel & Lodge has lovely gardens and stunning views of the countryside surrounding Bath. It is on a site that housed a flour mill until 1907.

They served a fantastic full breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpfull.
Clean, comfortable, nice guest lounge, lovely breakfast room & hearty breakfast. Very helpful hosts.
Family room a little on the small side, but ok for a short stay.
Off street parking, comfortable and quiet room, not too far from town centre (good walk providing it is not raining!)
Walk to town centre in the rain
Very convenient, only a little walk into the town centre. Staff were very friendly, thoughtful and helpful. Breakfast is good, fresh fruit and good quality sausages and bacon. Not that I did but your welcome to have a take away and staff will supply you with plates etc
Good location for Bath. Parking facilities. Helpful efficient staff. Lovely room.
Ashley Villa is in a convenient area for us visiting family in Higher Weston. Staff were polite and helpful and the room was very clean, and bed comfortable. Breakfast was very nice but not as plentiful as other B & B's that we have stayed at but I presume more could have been requested .
Our room was on the ground floor behind the dining room and was very small, we had to edge around the bed. The en suite which had no room for a sink was tiny. We wouldn't have stayed more than one night but was manageable for one night. Hopefully other rooms are a better size.
so relaxed, and very handy for buses to city centre
Very good breakfast
Room incredibly very small
This property is located on the edge of the Bath central, which means it's away from all the hustle and bustle. That's how we like it. It's a very nice property that fronts Newbridge Road. Our family room (with 2 singles and 1 double bed) is on the ground floor and the size was adequate. They were even able to fit in a small round table and two chairs in the room. The room also opens into the backyard where there is a small swimming pool (open in summer only) and plenty of tables and chairs for alfresco dining, which we did with takeaway pasta and pizza. The beds were comfortable and the shower facilities were good. As we were on the ground floor, the wifi signal was quite strong. Breakfast was also good with a few choices. Onsite parking for up to 7 cars is available at the front of the property.
Not much eating options around the area. We were advised to walk back into town to dine. The nearest one was at least 1 mile away, and seemed to be an expensive restaurant. We walked a bit a found a pizza outlet in the next street, but it did not have dine-in facilities. However, because of the backyard alfresco dining facility in the backyard of Asley Villa, we were able to eat takeaway pizza and pasta back at our lodgings. The hosts kindly lend us some cutlery for our meal.
the staff, location and breakfast were great and hotel was lovely with the pool and outdoor area being an added bonus.
Our only grumble was the bed was a tad uncorfortable and bed very small for two, but we did book a small double so that was our fault but that was literally our ownly complaint.
Quality of breakfast
Friendly, welcoming staff Good breakfast Clean, comfortable room Desk and tables Outside private garden setting On site parking Value for money
Long walking distance from City Centre tourist facilities.
Bed - soft but very comfy. The place looked pretty nice, but literally arrived at 8 o'clock then left at 6am.
Didn't get breakfast as we left too early. No-ones fault. Shower was a bit temperamental.
good breakfast and a bus stop outside into tourist area......an all day ticket cost £4 ....comfortable bed and lovely shower.....kettle ect in your room
bar closed at 9pm it would have been nice to have a night cap after going out for a meal
Little noisy re traffic
We were greeted by our very helpful host who gave us all the info we needed of the local area. Our room was very spacious considering it slept 4. Delicious breakfast topped off a wonderful stay
Great sized family room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Great lounge and dining room. Lovely breakfast - fresh and delicious. Lovely, helpful staff
Slightly out of town. Needed to drive into town as bit too far to walk.
Restricted parking. Stairs needed replacement
easy access to town, staff very good, breakfast good
Very close to Bath University, local shops around the corner with a good take away and restaurant where you can bring your own alcohol.
The kebab I bought from the take away.
Modern, clean, friendly staff, locally sourced food ingredients
The gentleman that works the check in desk was amazing. He went above and beyond, in my opinion. Many tips to help us plan our adventures, booked things for us and suggested other options. In 21 days of travel, the 2 we stayed at Ashley Villa were the best!
Location: About 3/4 mile from city centre but a nice walk. Parking: Free right outside the guesthouse. Checkin: We arrived 1 hour early for checkin but were cheerfully checked in early and efficiently. Lots of local information provided together with a map. We didn't have to ask for this it was all freely offered. Room: We booked the smallest room as there was little other choice but we received an upgrade to a larger room/bed at no extra cost as one had become free. The room (room 5) was clean and tidy. En suite with clean and crisp bedding/linen. Very quiet with no traffic or other guest noise. Extra pillows were readily available in the wardrobe. Breakfast: Very good freshly cooked breakfast and lots of choice. Home made marmalade v good. Autobank very close to hotel on way to city centre.
nice staff, good breakfast
about half hour walk to the center but public transport close to hotel
