Very good location, right next to paddington tube station
Clean quiet room, all I needed
Breakfast started after I had to leave, but it didn't spoil the stay
Full and good continental Breakfast
78 Steps to my NOISY room. Sat on the toilet with my head literally in the sink. Could not swing a hamster in the room. NO HOT WATER. Though TV was not working and was told someone should come and see. NO ONE came. Had to CHECK a box to say they could automatically deduct from my Credit Card if they found problems with the room. IS THIS LEGAL? I wont be back
The location was excellent, as described, a couple of minutes from Paddington but on a quiet street. The staff were pleasant.
My room, 601, on the ground floor, looked directly at another wall a couple of feet away, so rather dark and no view. The sound insulation was very poor. The other guests were quiet, but any noise they made sounded as though they were in the room with me.
The comfort of the bed
That when something was wrong with my room it wasn't sorted out
fast WiFi, clean rooms, professional staff
No lift, so hard to carry luggage up the stairs, also very small bathroom
The room was too hot first night. If the radiators had thermostats fitted it would be better
Staff are lovely so friendly n really helpful would definitely recommend this hotel to friend family etc and would stay here again :)
Room was just abit too warm raditor stayed on alday
Great location. Clean. Value for money.
Very small bathroom. No lift (elderly visitors should have a heads up).
The breakfast room was pleasant.. The continental breakfast was good and plentiful. I asked for a room on the lower floors - and was pleased to get a nice room...
The bathroom is very cramped - understandably so but it was difficult to move around...
Location is excellent.near to paddington station.
Convenient, clean with friendly courteous staff
Upon a 'very' early arrival at the Ashley on 30 December, we were greeted by an extremely courteous, and helpful young lady, with a lovely smile. As a retired Airline 'Passenger Sales Agent', such service is appreciated. During our short stay we found everyone most accommodating. A delightful Continental breakfast was a good start for the day.
I like the location of the hotle.
The size of room is too small. and no left to reach my floor.
Terrible breakfast. Very noisy at night. Wanted a deposit to borrow a hairdryer.
Clean, comfy bed, excellent location as we needed to be in Paddington for an unexpected reason so needed a cheap place. Not the Ritz but not the Ritz price!!!
The poor receptionist was working flat out while 3 staff in a room behind her sat having a chat.
location cleanliness good continental breakfast in pleasant basement dining room good luggage storage
only a few minor matters : booked a double room, given two singles - not conducive to a romantic weekend ! small ensuite no plug in bathroom basin no bedside light broken toilet roll holder
Clean and nicely located
Breakfast no value, only if you like continental Style plastic wrapped things - british cuisine would have been better. Poor lights in dark basement room, no locking the bathroom door, no bedside lamp, no hooks for towel or coat, miscalculated toilet Lid (likes to come down at most inconvenient times)
Location was perfect, near so many restaurants, shops, public transportation, withing walking distance to some touristic attractions. The property seemed very clean, my room and bathroom were clean. Staff was generally courteous and attentive to my needs. Breakfast was good, although I missed having some protein.
Room and bathroom extremely small, It was especially tricky to take a shower, since stall was very tight and shower ceiling very low (I'm pretty tall). It got very noise at times, since property is small and rooms are very close to one another, I could hear slamming of doors, and people walking around and going up and down the stairs, floors were squeaky. In addition I had a major problem there on my last two nights, the guests near my room (maybe right above) were making very loud noises for hours, and although the desk clerk told me he spoke with them, it would not stop! I couldn't sleep or relax, ok, staff tried to help, but I think they should have been more forceful, maybe even called the cops, because it was really out of control. Another complaint was that I wanted to have a friend over, and the front desk clerk said it wasn't allowed after 11 pm! I travel all over the world and had never seen a policy like that in a hotel. Anyway, they can invent whatever policy they want, as long as they state it somewhere, which they didn't, so I feel I was duped! Part of the reason I paid so much to stay in a hotel and not a BB or Hostel, was so I could have friends over if I chose to, so this was a big deal for me. I'm still waiting for the property manager to compensate me for the trouble, which was not only frustrating, but humiliating, once that the clerk treated me as if I was a child in a boarding school trying to bend the rules. This is the sole reason I won't stay there again.
Bed was comfy. Staff were nice. Great location. Room was decorated lovely. Perfect for single traveller.
Noise levels were ridiculous - guests loud and arguing. Bathroom size of a shoebox, Which was deceptive in pictures. Health and safety issue - Given triple room instead of double. Single bed was behind door, Door sprang back.
The location from the Rail and Tube stations. It was clean and the staff were very helpful.
The room we were given was on the 4th Floor up in the attic It was very taxing for mature people particularly longer stays.Room had a very small Toilet & Shower, not for the less agile. Will stay again but request a room on level 1 or 2
great location.Short distance from Paddington station. The hotel room was spotless and the staff really helpful. Will definitely stay here again.
Nothing to dislike about this hotel
I just like the neighborhood. I walk from the hotel to Oxfordstreet. I think that the price for the room is expensive.
The price and the room.
There was no hot water in the shower.
