food good. location good for all things Bronte Parking on site
Not prompt service from staff
The staff and food
The bedroom was too cluttered and the shower cubicle too small
Comfortable room Welcome small carafe of sherry Relaxing garden
The room was lovely..the service and staff were excellent..location great and a few minutes walk from the village..food was excellent..would definatly go again
Was pleased with everything
The location is brilliant, the garden is lovely, with great views. And what is not to love about your own personal hot tub.
The food was average to poor. I ordered a dish with Rosti in it which was grey and undercooked. I doubted how much of the food had been freshly cooked. The room was way too hot and v little room to move because the large bed took up most of the space. It wasn't a bad stay - it was ok - but it was definitely overpriced compared to the reality.
Location, atmosphere, views, breakfasts
Difficult to shower in such a small space. But this is my only quibble.
The 'thought' of staying in a lovely Gardners Cottage in the grounds of a Country House'
Where we stayed in a ex-council house over the road from the country house b&b when we were made to believe we were in the house grounds!!
The Bedroom was very comfortable with good facilities
The shower cubicle was too tight for comfort
excellent stay could not fault it
Large comfy room. Good breakfast. Excellent as long as you just do B&B
Evening meal in restaurant was poor for the price - prawn starter only 4 prawns and the portion of pork was small and overcooked. Hard peas made the bulk of the additional veg! No michelin star would have been awarded for the meal we had. Pillows were lumpy.
Parking could be a bit of a jiggle but no real problem
Room was large, comfy, good views.Staff more than willing to help, pleasant and took a genuine interest.Breakfast was great , the location was only a 2 minute walk to centre, the town and locals made you welcome as second nature. My first trip , recommend.
Everything. Lovely welcome on arrival. The building is so full of history and decorated in keeping with the period. Wonderful food and a fabulous, comfortable, 4 poster bed in our room (Amos Ingham room). Beautiful gardens.
Loved the four poster, room was everything we hoped it would be loved the idea of the complimentary sherry disappointed that we had already booked a meal elsewhere as we booked the room afterwards and realised could have eaten at same time
Nothing to dislike extremely happy with our stay
The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The setting and decor of the hotel was perfect. Would highly recommend anyone to stay.
Lovely decor, helpful staff.
No luggage racks and they were much needed. No amount of decor and luxury can make up for lack of air conditioning. Only one window could be opened and on second night none of us slept welll due to humidity and heat. I awoke with my hair soaked. They kept saying they do not need it but they DO and if they want to keep their status it is essential to add it.
Delicious, well-presented food; friendly, helpful staff; luxurious room and beautiful gardens - ideal for relaxing with a cold drink!
there was nothing to dislike
Lovely premises. Staff helpful and courteous. Very good value for money
Brilliant staff, very personable. The food was delicious and the room was excellent. We felt perfectly at home and didn't want to leave. All round lovely experience.
Views from room, quiet location and friendly staff
All of it
It rained, sorry, not there fault!
Staff excellent Food better than average Added bonus of options for rooms with hot tubs/saunas etc Very good value for money
Parking is a bit limited Hadn't realised this was more a guest house with a restaurant rather than a hotel, but even so I would certainly return if in the area
The parking area needs to be divided in to bays to reduce selfish parking by guests
friendly welcome and nice surroundings
not ideal for business users, more suited to those not having to leave early
