Hotel is in the centre of town close to the museum and art gallery. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. My room was big with a large double bed which was very comfortable
No adverse comments
Really made to feel welcome. Room was great and dinner, especially haggis as a starter, was really well cooked. Very convenient from airport. Would definitely stay here again.
The breakfast was awesome
Maureen and her staff were genuinely caring, personable and thoughtful. We stayed for 2 weeks and felt very comforted every time we walked in the front door. The building is wonderful, historic yet comfortable. Food was absolutely impeccable, both break fast and supper.
Room extremely cold
Unfortunately the wifi did not work in our room. Bar didn't seem to be open.
The staff including the owner were excellent, it felt like staying with friends, my wife and I stayed there for three weeks over New Year, the room (2) was warm, comfortable and the bed was perfect. The breakfast was also excellent and lots of it.
Our stay was excellent
Staff, Location, comfortable bed, room size and facilities.
bathroom a bit cluttered because it was pretty small.
The very nice welcome and tasteful decor .
Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast Lovely scotch pancakes. Handy for the Paisley Gilmour Street train station and Glasgow airport
the bit of a slope up to the hotel
Unpleasant, unhelpful and surly owners . I had booked a family room and was given a twin with no reimbursement. The room was extremely cold,I was refused an extra heater to warm room,so cold my mother had to sit with her coat on for an hour and a half and warm herself with a blanket at breakfast. The owner and partner watched me struggle up stairs with 4 bags and I had to scrape the ice of the front door steps myself the following morning. When I asked for an ironI was given one that was so filthy it was unusable, the socket was also hanging off the wall. This hotel has ideas far above its station
Everything, the welcome, comfortable room, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and great value for money. A most comfortable experience, highly recommended.
Centrally placed, good parking facilities, excellent customer service, good breakfast.
Very comfortable and very welcoming staff. Probably the best place to stay in Paisley.
We have stayed here many times before. Friendliness is second to none
Everything from the welcome, Room 1, the bed, breakfast to the goodbye could not be faulted We will definitely use again
We had the room on the top level and it was private and spacious and gorgeous, and the bed was so comfortable. I loved the giant bathroom and sitting area. The proprietor was very friendly, as well.
Our daughter (teen) couldn't get the wifi to work, so we had to endure her moans. On second thought, having no wifi was probably a plus!
This was our first trip away with our 3 month old so we were a little nervous, but we needn't have worried. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was lovely, the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent.
Location, staff and quality of the hotel which is well managed in every respect by the owners.
Wonderfull friendly staff...a real 'home from home' ambience. The family room is perfect for 4, and gorgeous bathroom.Good honest homecooked food. We had a lovely stay
I would like to make comment on my stay at the Ash Tree Hotel. I was born in Paisley and I must say it was a pleasure returning to bring in the New Year. I have stayed in the Ash Tree now my fourth time and every time Iam made so welcome by the staff and the facilities. If you are looking for Scottish character this hotel has it all. I feel so at home soon as I walk into the hotel and that makes it for me and my wife. The rooms are very generous with space and have an old fashioned character which suits the environment of the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to take a step into Scottish history but with a modern touch. The food is excellent accompanied with refreshments from the cosy bar.
tea too weak coffee too strong
Superbly located in the centre of Paisley and close to the airport this hotel is great for an airport stopover or as an alternative to staying in the centre of Glasgow. On arrival we were upgraded to a larger front room that was of great proportions and full of period features! The whole hotel was bright and airy . A nice breakfast was included in the booking price with plenty of toast and coffee on offer. Their is adequate parking in the grounds of the hotel so you are not just stuck on the street! For the price this hotel is a must and we will be staying again.
Absolutely charming with warmth personified! A lovely step back in time with great space and comfort. Being a keen Rugby supporter - that to me speaks volumes of the hosts and their outlook on the world as well as to their customers. Top shelf!!!
Lovely hotel with a warm cosy feel and excellent customer service. We will definitely be back!
