I stayed for two days. That was quite unbelievable, but the bed was broken so I couldn't sleep well, of course. The next day I've asked to change for another room and had to insist... No, I can't recommend that.

The tv in my room, number 7, wasn't working but the host quickly transfered me to a better room. The bed was clean & it has ample parking. The single rooms are very small & the shared facilities mean you have to check that the toilet & shower isn't being used so I prefer en-siute normally. Not great value for money.

The staff were polite and helpful. The bed and breakfast accommodation was slightly run-down and grubby. For example, the curtains had dirty marks on them and did not slide on the runners, there was fluff under the beds and the room was not made up or the bins emptied daily.

Time spent in Cambridge was excellent, very little time spent in accommodation.Staff member actually in the property was very helpful and pleasant, manager to whom we complained was simply complacent. The rooms booked were not available. Alternatives were offered but did not have the facilities booked.

It was reasonably clean and the staff were nice. Everything else. I would not stay here again. I was allocated room 8, where it was hard to stand up or move around as it was so small, and the sink leaked onto the wooden floor. Breakfast was poor and though the staff were nice, finding them was quite difficult at times. Overall, a very poor hotel and I would not recommend it to anyone.

The staff were pleasant. The Guest House is convenient for a bus stop into town and the railway station. My room was beside a shared toilet, which had a very loud extractor fan, and a shared shower, so it was a little noisy.

They tried to relocate us to another guest house not so convenient for us with no prior warning. Low standard of furniture in bedroom - eg no wardrobe, matress old and uncomfortable. Poor standard of breakfast.

The check in and arrival arrangements were very relaxed and it was easy to get in touch with staff. Shared shower was a but cramped and I couldn't turn the radiator off in my room.

Perfect organisation. They delivered precise instructions and an excellent service. I found exactly what I expected. Good value for money and delightful manners from the staff. I can't really say anything was unsatisfactory. I got exactly what I expected to find.

We appretiated the relaxed atmosphere of the Ashtrees. The rooms were nice and warm, just a little noisy as it is situated on a roundabout buut that didn't bother us too much. The beds were not very comfy. Mine was a larger mattress than the base so if I went too far to the edge I fell out of bed.

Good location, about 10 minutes by bus from Cambridge rail station. After that I had to go by feet about 200m, but probably, there will be better connection. As I arrived late, I got access code for the front door and my room was ready with the key in a lock, just prepared for me. And as I leaved very early, I did not meet any personal there. Room and the bathroom were clean. It is about 20 minutes by train to Stansted airport from Cambridge, and as I leaved early, I appreciate location.

The hostess was friendly and was trying to run a clean and efficient guest house. Initially it was a little difficult to find the b&b, but once I located it near a roundabout on Perne Rd it was easy enough to get into the car park behind the house. Parking in the rear was adequate for 3 or 4 cars, which was sufficient at the time I was there.
