A hotel I have stayed at previously, as well as it's "sister" hotel, The Hillside: both are excellent and the staff are uniformly great. The food is of a high quality and I like the fact that it is a "Fairtrade" hotel. I'll certainly be back.
Rather tiny bathroom.
I stayed in a single room which although quite small was comfortable, clean, well featured and en suite — all I was looking for in an overnight stay. The rooms all have fridges, trouser presses and hairdryers and a mini safe! The bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was good with lots of fresh fruit and cooked meals made with good ingredients. The hotel is clearly proud of its Eco credentials and displays an award for meeting euro standards which is nice to see. The hotel is not far from the train station and the shopping centre in Guilford but up a hill which might be a difficult walk for some — not far in a taxi though. Will definitely stay here again when I am next in the area.
My room overlooked the main road and was a little noisy. Although this didn't cause me any problems it might be a consideration for light sleepers. Other rooms face onto the back of the property so ask when booking.
I like the location of the Hotel and the way staff in the Hotel attend to costumers. The rooms are well furnished.
The staff were very helpful and pro-active.
Great shower room for wheelchair. Quiet location for sleeping.
Very clean Close to university Nice staff Excellent Wi-Fi connection
Get tired when returning from the centre and there isn't a frequent bus to get you there.
Friendly staff, excellent food, impeccable cleanliness and most of all, a quiet and welcoming room. Will return if I manage to continue my studies in Guildford.
Noisy as our room was right on road and the room was small
Everything was fine, location 10min walk to city center, breakfast was above expectation.Very clean rooms and common areas.Andrea and other young lady very helpful.
Very good location ,clean, very good breakfast
very good breakfast, quite expensive
Clean and comfortable room. 5 mins walk to the town centre. Happy for me to leave car at hotel while I worked in town.
Breakfast was excellent and very clean and friendly
Attention to detail. Excellent service, at check in and check out, as well as good food served with a real smile and with caring.
Green policy Food Honesty bar Cleanliness
Free breakfast as long as you didn't use a hotel booking service - made me feel 2nd class and I would never have found asperion without one. Perhaps you should give 1st time guests free breakfast and then encourage them with offer if they book direct
Spotlessly clean,lovely bathroom,comfy bed,great tea making facilities.Breakfast room inviting.Honesty bar.Fresh milk for tea.General ambience.
Loud buzzing noise from fridge all night, even worse when it turned off and then on again from time to time. Noises from fans in bathrooms from other guests.Found small room claustrophobic.Cold in bed and no extra blanket.
Well situated, a few minutes from Guildford central and with easy access to highways. Coffee and tea things were provided, as was the promised chocolate. The bed was very comfortable, with LED reading lights that you could bend away so as not to disturb a sleeping partner. The bathroom was a wetroom, which we liked. Internet is good, with around 16-18Mb up and down, and at no charge. The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful. Parking availability was no problem, as there's a bay for each room.
Severely limited clothing space -- no drawers at all, so we were living out of our suitcases, and one very small glass shelf on the bathroom. There was a clothes rail under a high shelf in the bedroom, which was adequate for four changes of clothes for two people.
Good location, clean, freshly cooked food and friendly staff.
Inadequate parking facilities and high price for facilities available.
Breakfast Clean and bright room Friendly staff
The bed wasn't a king size even though I did book for one
Friendly receptionist Quiet location away from town centre No noise or disturbance to be heard
Room was very warm, though my stay was in the middle of a hot July. Had to keep air condition on all night to stay cool, though this can't be blamed on the hotel.
Spotlessly clean, good location within walking distance of the centre of Guildford and railway station, very quiet room, nice staff, free wifi.
If anything, it is a bit clinical.
The staff were wonderful - very friendly and welcoming.
Thought it was over priced for the minimal facilities. As we were staying at the weekend and wanted to leave at 7.30 they weren't able to provide a cooked breakfast as the chef started later.
Very close to the town centre, about a 10 minute walk, also free parking on site. Rooms at the rear are both quiet and cool. You can have an evening meal from a limited menu as well as breakfast. All the food was good and good value.
Rooms are smallish and on the front thier is a busy road and the rooms get very hot on hot summer days
Very clean, excellent breakfast, walking distance to town.
No view from the room. - even to see the car park is better than a solid frosted window. Normal window with nye or blinds would be good.
