The Aston Lodge is just a 5-minute walk from Wem Train station and a 10-minute drive from Shrewsbury. It offers free Wi-Fi, free parking and home-cooked breakfasts. Family room was superb - teenagers had their own separate sleeping space and privacy but were very close at hand. Didn't spend much time at the Lodge as we were only there one night and were visiting friends at a local campsite - sorry we didn't book for 2 nights though. Owners were really friendly and breakfast was fab. Would definitely recommend.

The location was ideal for our family visit. Denise and Graham were perfect hosts, the room very comfortable and spotlessly clean and the breakfast outstanding. Highly recommended.

Warm welcome, lovely people. Still trying to give me coffee after I had paid but was working in front of their open fire on my check out day. The breakfast deserves its very good reputation. Ideal for family or business.

Friendly, helpful hosts. Good-sized room with comfortable bed. Shower/toilet room on the small side but clean and perfectly adequate. Excellent breakfast. Hotel convenient for shops, railway station and exploring the local countryside.

The family room was huge, you didn't end up going to bed at the same time as the kids. The bed could have been a little cleaner or a new sheet was needed and some spare toilet rolls provided. The wireless key in the welcome pack didnt connect. Aside from this it is great and would recommend.

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Das Hotel wird betrieben von einem sehr freundlichen Ehepaar, beide sind ausgesprochen zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns dort mit unseren beiden Kindern, 11 und 16 Jahren sehr wohl gefühlt. Besonders gut ist das Frühstück. Ich kann die Aston Lodge nur wärmstens empfehlen.

We stayed at the Aston lodge as it was convenient to meet up with friends we had a nice room on the ground floor so we avoided the stairs the room was quite large it was nice and clean and also ensuite so you were private breakfast was very good with a good choice of cereals even porridge if you wanted it good choice of cooked breakfast too I would recommend staying here as it close to village centre and a good pub also the railway station

The hotel staff were very,very friendly and you got the feeling nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless and very comfortable, and the breakfast kept me going all day!! I cant recommend this hotel highly enough.Many thanks.
