Score from 45 reviews Fabulous
Friendliness of reception staff
heated towel rail in bathroom not working. Extractor fan in bathroom not working.
Room service Good price for food Polite staff
Water pressure of shower!
Excellent staff, very good food.
The walk in shower room floor did not drain well leaving a somewhat slippery floor for far longer than is usual in this type of bathroom.
Beds are amazing. The hotel looks amazing.
The walk from the reception to my room, it was like crystal maze. That I had to walk from my dinner table to another room to get my breakfast.
It's a hotel
Dinner could have been bigger
Great location Friendly staff
Lovely building and location some staff more keen to provide service
some staff a bit blase,
Nice building, clean rooms, quiet location near motorway reasonable price. Very pleasant stay.
TV was useless, taking ages to tune into a channel and then losing signal. Needs replacing. Air conditioner would not work in heat mode. Staff did offer to change rooms so no major issue.
The hotel was easy to locate, beautiful inside and out, food was lovely. All the staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.
If you stay in the original part of the hotel there is only stairs but lifts in the new parts, it would be nice if there was ground floor accommodation for those less able to manage stairs.
Very Professional & helpful staff, the rooms are to a high specification, very comfortable bed, resteraunt is a bit expensive but well worth it for the quality. Will definetley return in the future 11/10
good accommodation, good value, good location
restaurant not impressive food average, staff not responsive and need more training
the bedrooms, public areas and grounds were v attractive. Convenient and easy to find from the M1
Lovely location. Up dated very clean room with wet room.
It was such a shame there is only one small bar, we wanted a quiet drink before dinner but as there were two weddings it was so crowded.
Lovely staff. Very helpful and friendly
I would maybe suggest a small fridge as i had a young baby and nowhere to store her milk
At breakfast, we were treated as members of a wedding party
staff very good!!! hotel stunning food four star you get what you pay for !!!
Nice feel to hotel, not sure the superior room was such, but clean and comfortable bed.
The dining/ breakfast staff are not overly friendly or responsive. We waited for ages to be seated and when we just found a table we were told we had to move to one set differently. Not the most exciting breakfast we have had.
Receptionist was excellent. we had booked the cheapest class of room which was in the new part of the hotel. whilst it was nicely fitted out it was more a business type room and we were there to celebrate an anniversary and requested another room. We had had stayed before in the older part of the hotel where the rooms were larger and airier and i was shown three alternative rooms and chose one for us to transfer to. food was lovely and gluten free diet catered for. nice personal touch to meal in celebration of anniversary
The staff were all friendly and helpfull.
Not a fan of wet rooms. The shower needed a screen between it and the toilet and the water did not seem to drain away properly.
Staff were very friendly and helpful from check in onwards
The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly and it made our stay a pleasure
The function room seems to have very thin walls which do not offer much of a barrier to the noise. We struggled to sleep whilst the function was on. It would have been helpful to have been forewarned and offered the chance of another room when checking-in (we did move the next night)
Old manor house in nice grounds. Very reasonable rate and a good breakfast.
Room very small (in the annexe). Too much thought gone into the 'look' of the decor and not enough testing the practicalities eg the electric socket was near the skirting and hairdryer cable was too short to reach it comfortably. Shower head was massive and looked fantastic but the shower cubicle was too small so you couldn't get away from the downpour! Designer mirror in the bathroom looked great but the surround projected out too far and the basin was ridiculously small.
Hot kippers left on our breakfast table whilst I was eating my bowl of fruit
Excellent service, comfortable rooms
Helpful friendly staff, clean spacious room. In warmer weather would be good to use the gardens and outside terrace.
Decor very "corporate" despite the hotel itself being a potentially interesting building.
