Good location, very clean and the hotel staff gave the good old fashioned customer service, which is hard to find these days. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was spot on. We would recommend this to friends and family and will be booking again. Well done and thank you. I think perhaps a disability lift by the reception would be helpful for elderly or disabled people so they can reach level 1 with ease. Just a small singular glass lift, nothing too big and quite discreet so as not to spoil the natural features of the venue.

Location is just off the m1, the "Superior Room" we had was spacious and very comfortable.Staff were very helpful and courteous. No one at the hotel could sort out the tv problem, so no tv. Some of the dishes at breakfast were "not checked" as one of the staff suggested.ie there was some residue from previous users.

All very easy, quick check-in, great room with lots of luxury... Staff were polite and friendly, not the robot reception staff you get at some places. There was a constant background whirring/whining noise coming from something that was going all night (maybe a fan, bar cooling unit or air- con noise?) The kind of noise you wouldn't notice normally but because the place was so quiet I could hear it and got to the point where I couldn't ignore. I'm a light sleeper and it was a bit annoying. Rest of it was all good.

Staff where courteous and polite, room clean, Staff did not complete requests although always polite. Breakfast on Sunday Morning, rushed and basic but on the Saturday morning excellent and varied. Wardrobes in standard room very poor, useless if you wanted to stay more than 1 night. Staff agreed,

We were upgraded for some reason which gave us an excellent spacious room with a great view of the grounds. We had no difficulty finding it which was a bonus. The staff were brilliant and very helpful. From my wife's point of view, besause she is slightly disabled, there were a few problems. 1. No lift. 2. The bath/shower was very slippery with no none slip mat or handles to aid getting in and out.

clean, comfortable beds and a great breakfast. Great value for money and friendly staff as well. The only downside was the music that was too loud, i presume it came from a wedding or event being held in the hotel grounds

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff on the whole were helpful and friendly. Our room was lovely, if a bit smaller than we anticipated. Evening meals in the restaurant were tasty, well cooked and well presented. The location was also ideal for us. The bedroom was not furnished in a useful way - the wardrobe was not suited for use with no decent hanging space. Although the breakfast was well cooked and well presented, on our first morning the hotel was busy and although not all the tables were occupied when we came down to eat, none of them had been cleared and re-set after previous guests had eaten.

Front of house staff very helpful and accomodating, went out of their way to assist with any problems immediately. Bathroom was freezing but a heater was supplied to warm the room. Tv did not work properly so we were moved to an executive room, but this was freezing too, but the room was lovely. The breakfasts were 'dismal'. Full English 1st morning, bacon rock hard as it had been cooked about 2 hours before, sausage shrivellled, egg hard and cold, baked beans congealed onto plate!!!! We thought we would order smoked salmon and scrambled egg the next morning, the salmon was 'off' and could have made me ill. Iwas told the salmon is bought fresh every week!!!! And the waiter implied I was imagining it all. My wife had the ham and eggs, the ham was very fatty and gristly, eggs cold!!!! We did complain again on booking out the receptionist did write something down and my wife said that perhaps the chef could go to cookery lessons!!!!

Loved the location, Staff were very open and courteous, food was sufficient and beautifully cooked, service in the restaurant was very quick and pleasant. Minor maintenance items, cobwebs on ceiling, Main thing was the noise, I don't know if it was just our room, (Harley) but there was a constant noise like an aircraft passing overhead, I guess it was the Air Conditioning unit, strange thing was that when we were leaving, our car was parked outside our room and I couldn't hear anything from there. Odd. For the price we paid I accepted it was part of the deal and, that apart, I was well pleased, I would stay again, just not in that room. :)

I have stayed at Aston Hall on 4 occasions. The first time the hotel was brilliant in every way. The next few times it has gone downhill - mostly in the way staff deal with you. But, saying that, after they mixed up our reservation (made though booking.com) they did correct it and offer a discount. The manager was lovely. The better rooms are mostly good, some are fantastic! The luxury room that were given for our other room was really nice and had lovely countryside views. A few of the staff are lovely. They did us a lovely sandwich tray for later at night. The hotel decor is great. Just wish they could get back that consistent friendly and helpful Yorkshire hospitality that we saw on our first visit. Decent breakfast buffet and good choices for cooked breakfasts. Very comfortable beds - except horrible extra z beds... They messed up our reservation. They are very restrictive about when you can eat. They told my husband that they don't serve breakfast before 9 am on weekends... Then they told me that they don't serve pancakes after 9 am on weekends... Hmmm. But they did allow pancakes on Saturdays and also after 9 am. They seem to make up the rules as they go. The breakfast staff do not smile - except for a young man who did. Our room had a leaking shower and some mould. I told them about it but they didn't seem to care. Our deluxe room was really nice on one night and then a few days later when we returned, it was a small, cramped room. But, they probably wanted to give us the poorer room as they needed the nicer rooms to be on show for the prospective weddings they were showing around that weekend. Croissants were never fresh.

It was very convenient, being just a short drive from the m1. I stayed in the annexe - just 4 rooms and a short walk from the main building. As I was the only guest that night in the annexe, it was extremely peaceful - absolutely no noise from other guests, plumbing, etc. The bed was very comfortable, although the room (a double) was quite small. However, it was good value for money at the rate I paid. Breakfast (7 to 9) was good and quick, and lots of variety and quantity. It is slightly difficult to find at night from the m1, the main entrance being set back from the road on a corner. Leave the b6067 at Church Lane and turn immediately left into the main gates.
