Aston Hall Hotel  

Good location, very clean and the hotel staff gave the good old fashioned customer service, which is hard to find these days. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was spot on. We would recommend this to friends and family and will be booking again. Well done and thank you.

I think perhaps a disability lift by the reception would be helpful for elderly or disabled people so they can reach level 1 with ease. Just a small singular glass lift, nothing too big and quite discreet so as not to spoil the natural features of the venue.

The restaurant is not open on a Sunday night - the one night we stayed there, and unless we completely missed it, it's not stated anywhere when you book through booking.com. The bar option is only available until 8.00pm and is very limited.

I was dis-satisfied with the resturant waiting system and though I had a booked table time I was made to stand and wait in the bar (despite my objections) that was full of conference people getting to my table 30 minutes later!

Food was excellent. Lovely property.

Room was a little small and somewhat noisy due to (a) a wedding party, and (b) a generator or something making a low humming noise all night.

Breakfast was a little on the slow side and one guest left before his breakfast arrived, I was about to do the same when mine arrived.

We were there for my daughters wedding. It was perfect from start to finish.

We were staying to attend a family funeral so location was the main reason for selecting the hotel. We already had stayed on a previous happier family event (90th Birthday party) which had been very successful so it was an obvious choice for us this time around and we did not look elsewhere although would have done if the price had not been so reasonable. The hotel is ideally situated for the midlands although if I was looking for a rural break this would not be a first choice, however being so close to the motorways it is an ideal base for family get togethers and the Birthday celebration last year was lovely, we were able to use the garden area.

Loved the location, Staff were very open and courteous, food was sufficient and beautifully cooked, service in the restaurant was very quick and pleasant.

Minor maintenance items, cobwebs on ceiling, Main thing was the noise, I don't know if it was just our room, (Harley) but there was a constant noise like an aircraft passing overhead, I guess it was the Air Conditioning unit, strange thing was that when we were leaving, our car was parked outside our room and I couldn't hear anything from there. Odd. For the price we paid I accepted it was part of the deal and, that apart, I was well pleased, I would stay again, just not in that room. :)

It was very convenient, being just a short drive from the m1. I stayed in the annexe - just 4 rooms and a short walk from the main building. As I was the only guest that night in the annexe, it was extremely peaceful - absolutely no noise from other guests, plumbing, etc. The bed was very comfortable, although the room (a double) was quite small. However, it was good value for money at the rate I paid. Breakfast (7 to 9) was good and quick, and lots of variety and quantity.

It is slightly difficult to find at night from the m1, the main entrance being set back from the road on a corner. Leave the b6067 at Church Lane and turn immediately left into the main gates.
