The Wi Fi did struggle some times.
friendly staff clean room and bathroom lovely food good location
the room was extremely hot, even when we turned off the heating and opened the window. Made it difficult to sleep, which was a shame because we couldn't fault anything else.
We liked the whole visit, Staff really friendly and helpful, rooms spacious, lovely and warm.
Nothing to dislike
Leaking shower Tiny bath room Room was very cold
Check In & Out Service Excellent
Bar & Breafast Service
Staff were very friendly and the room was spacious and comfortable.
Noise insulation was not brilliant but to be expected from an old property
I enjoyed our stay at Aston Hall enormously. The staff, the facilities, the location, the hotel layout, and the bedrooms are all fantastic. I will definitely be staying here again!
Only a minor quibble, but breakfast lacked a little enthusiasm. There had been two weddings on the night before so there were a lot of people waiting to be served.
No magnifying or close up mirror to do make up. Quit important when staying and attending an event.
Location. Building looks lovely.
I booked with the idea I would be in a lovely big building, what happened we got sent back out the main door and off to some little brick thing away near the front gate. We only were given one key. Breakfast was cold. Tea was far too washed out. Batteries nearly gone in T V remote.
The hotel is in a lovely setting.
The carpet wasn't clean and the waiters/waitresses were not very efficient. The bedroom was very small and looked tired, although the bathroom had been newly fitted.
- room was modern and well equipped - good rate for room that included breakfast which was excellent - friendly and helpful staff - great location for convenience to M1 and beautiful building
- corridors in modern annex were cold and not heated - otherwise was great
beautiful grade2 listed hotel in fantastic surroundings! the staff were great and the rooms very clean and spacious! i would stay there again!
The food and wine was excellent. My compliments to the chef
Your music in the bar kept repeating
Staff extremely polite and friendly from reception to bar to breakfast. Room was spacious an well appointed with extremely comfortable bed. We stayed here to be close to Sheffield arena which is just 15 mins drive away and would definately stay again.
Food was excellent Room very comfortable Friendly staff
Building lost a bit too much of its character inside
The wedding function was very good
The staff serving breakfast both days were not very welcoming, not friendly. The mat in the shower was not long enough causing my husband to slip and hit his head on the bath which was reported and other guest said they almost slipped as well
Nice wedding venue
We paid £24 more than other guests who had basicaly same room which we had to pay on departure as they charged us wrong when we checked in.
Friendliness of the place
Sat in a howling draft in the dining room and food was fair plus
We stayed in the annex which was nice and quiet away from the 2 wedding receptions in the main hotel. We had a lovely breakfast and were served by polite attentive but unobtrusive staff.
Some stains on the carpet and marks on the walls near bed
Friendliness of reception staff
heated towel rail in bathroom not working. Extractor fan in bathroom not working.
Room service Good price for food Polite staff
Water pressure of shower!
