we were wamly welcomed and check-in was very quick. Room was comfortable and spacious. Food was generally good including a very good breakfast. Location easy to find in a strange town once you know that it is in the University area. Unfortunately at dinner there was a prolonged delay of over 30 minutes in the arrival of our meal due to a mistake by the witress in not loading our order into the kitchen computer. Apologies were profuse and we were given a complimentary glass of wine by way of reparation. These things can happen but shouod not. We hope the hotel learns to do better.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. However, in the bathroom the shower door did not fit properly. When I was asked what I would like for breakfast I stated porridge. As I frequently have it in the morning, it did not cross my mind to ask how they were going to cook it. The bowl of porridge presented to me was cooked with water and it tasted horrible and was boiling hot making it nearly uneatable! Service was extremely slow. Staff would forget what you ordered. We had 1 dinner and decided to go elsewhere the next day as it was so bad.

Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Had an evening meal as well as a breakfast and the food was excellent. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful This is a very minor issue - Unusual shower cubical facilities. The seat in the shower looked good but was very slippery and the door opens out and drips water over the floor

Lovely setting in the grounds of the old Chricton Instistution. Booked room as a double, what we had was two single beds joined to make a double with two single matresses. Not a very comfortable nights sleep. Television too small for room size and poor reception and few channels. Breakfast was very average and not a fantatstic selection. I have ataye ay many cheaper budget hotels with a better service. Not worth the price charged.

Friendly staff. Restaurant food very good. Staff a bit scruffy at times. A bit soulless in the bar area and restaurant. The new building is ugly to look at.

The old hospital building was well preserved and tastefully utilised. The old hospital doors were still there one of which still bears the sign "Please close this door" reminding us of the old Crichton Royal Hospital. The new extension for guest rooms whilst tastefully decorated inside is an ugly eyesore from outside, not at all in keeping with the rest of the Crichton campus. Surely this could be more subtle.

Fantastic hotel! Great location, beautiful rooms, bed very comfortable, en suite lovely, well lit and fantastic power shower. Gorgeous views over the grounds of the hotel. Staff very friendly and efficient. Great value for money. The public areas of the hotel are also really nice. Looking forward to our next visit! nothing negative to say.
