Good value for such a good location. Very helpful staff. Room was very cold, with no ability to adjust the temperature. Very small but clean bathroom (can sit on the toilet and shower at the same time).

The price was really good as we got a promotion for the season. The rooms are decent, bed was comfortable. It includes a kitchenette with bread toaster, kettle, plates, etc, we didnt need any extra things really in order to cook There's no Elevator and we had a room on the 4th floor. Old houses, fair enough, but at least have someone to help with the bags. Im young and it was a long ride, so beware older travellers/people with back issues. Internet was ridiculously slow and I Complained twice, it didnt change much and they charge you almost 12 £ for It. Also I needed to call my room cuz I was downtown and needed to talk to My mother who was in there and they said they don't have the facilities to transfer calls. I even have that facility in my 1989 phone terminal! I really couldnt communicate in any way, as apparently they didnt know/there wasnt a phone number to the room (but there was a working line, explain that)

Location location location, walking distance from Gloucester Road metro station, very quiet neighbourhood and very close to pubs, cool restaurants, cafes, exchange markets and supermarkets. Clean rooms, not so big but comfortable. Very good choice for a trip to London.

Two things: an excellent location that is close to museums, tube station and the city center and kitchen in the room. The reception staff was friendly and very helpful. The area offers a variety of pleasant walks. 50 pounds securiey deposit for the key is what I never experienced before in any hotel in the world. It makes this good hotel to stand out not in a positive way. The noice insulation is quite poor. One tenant could not get into his room at 4AM. The whole hotel might heard his multiple attempts to solve the problem.

The kitchen section was cleverly hidden and while actually I didn't have time to use those facilities I was impressed by the amount of utensils available. I also found that while at first the room looked very small, the economy of space (kitchen-in-a-wardrobe, shower with a toilet etc) was well designed. The bed was really comfy and I was pleased that the tv was a good standard, with wake-up facilities. The small amount of staff I had contact with were lovely. I also enjoyed having full-size French windows leading on to a small balcony which was a really nice touch, especially as in most similar rooms in London hotels you would be unable to open the window! The location was really excellent and while I could have had a nicer room in a Premier Inn for the same price, the location was amazing for what I needed and it was much more boutique and pretty than a Premier Inn! I also love the idea of having an apartment rather than a hotel room to stay in. Thanks! -Staff, while very friendly and helpful on check-in, did not offer to carry my bag up to my room. While I understand at busy times this could be a difficult service to provide, it was early evening and there was no-one else around at the time. As a solo female traveller this would have been nice as there was no lift that I could find, but my bag was not heavy so it was okay. -I stayed next door, in the second house of the compound (No. 29) - while the interior was very nicely decorated, there was an unpleasant damp smell in the corridors which fortunately did not extend to my room. -The bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked; however it was not bad enough to complain. -The gentleman that checked me in was kind enough to call me a taxi as I was in a hurry to meet someone; however the taxi driver charged me £22 to get from Astons to the south side of Battersea Bridge! I was disgusted by the fare as I could have got a black cab for 1/3 of the price, and while I can't blame Astons at all for this, I think they could review the companies they are in contact with.

Its location is great and quiet, and you can cook if you wish in your room. It is near to the tube, musuems, and Harrods. There is also a bus stop at the end of the road to Victoria stattion if you do not want to use the underground. The downside was the bed was narrow with no underlay and very uncomfortable. The walls are thin and you can hear everything from the other residents.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The location was great for the reason why we were there and the houses from the outside were beautiful The rooms were below basic really which was quite disappointing when compared with the exterior.

The staff, though appearing harassed, were polite and friendly. The appartment was high up at the back of the building, and was therefore quiet. The location is excellent for tube journeys and major site seeing in London City Centre. There are good places to eat very near by. The facilities were adequate for a one night stay, but did not really reflect the price. Rooms very cramped and furniture and fittings shabby.

Good location and nice comfortable room. I was even able to park my car right outside without incurring any parking charges at the weekend. Received a complimentary upgrade of my room as they didn't have enough single rooms available.

Staff was outstanding. Room, however was noisy - could hear front door being slammed and neighbors talking in hallway. Room was cleaned nicely except for 1 day when dirty towels were left on the beds. Location is perfect - close to tube station, local pubs and stores.

Safe area. Convenient kitchen-in-a-cupboard and nearby shops which made this useful, especially with food allergies to deal with. Near tube, in an area familiar to me. Room exactly as advertised, no surprises. Quiet. Staff pleasant. I was expecting a period staircase and no lift, and it was no trouble to me, but this might be more of a nuisance for someone with heavy cases or small children or a mobility problem..

Astons are located in a very convenient place. Close to the Gloucester Road shops and restaurants and 3 mins walk from the tube station. Also it ticks the box for a quiet location if you're hoping to get some sleep! My apartment was not luxurious but absolutely adequate for my needs. It was clean and it's all you need if you are spending most of your time out and about London. The staff (I met one member) was professional and helpful. I would say they are value for money in London. One negative was that the microwave had not been cleaned

Just location and useful kitchen Very, very small room, terrible small bad, the bathroom so small that you have to put your legs outside sitting on wc, when you wash your face at the same time you wash your legs-sink is so small; bads are for child, windows are old and very cold near it our third floor is like fifth floor, without elevetor, with narrow stairs, I think one day somebody is gong to colapse and day, taking laguage upstairs Only good thing is location!
