I have stayed at the Astor Court three times now. The location is within close walking distance of Oxford Circus tube station and Oxford Street shopping. The tube station easily connects everywhere in central London. The rooms generally consist of a bed room, sitting room, and bath. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, space is satisfactory, and breakfast is included. The hotel is an older building and has a certain charm. However, at the same time, if you seek ultra-luxury and modern facilities, it is not for you. I like this hotel, but it won't be for everyone.

I liked the location of the hotel being close to live areas. Most of the staff were friendly and nice except for the late night shift guy. Bathroom is away from the toilet. Flush is too noisy. Floor makes sound while walking. No varieties in daily breakfast. When returned late, we waited for a long time for door to be opened after ringing the bell 4 times.

This hotel was lovely. The biggest room ( 51, triple room) I've ever had in a London hotel and a lovely spacious bathroom. Ok, it may be slightly tatty in places but I call that character; at least everything was spotlessly clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfectly adequate - a good selection and very fresh. I really don't know why people would moan about anything here, such a good location literally 5 min walk from Oxford Circus tube. Very quiet street even with windows open. Would definitely use again. My 8 year old loved it! Nothing

Size of the room - my experience of 'reasonably priced' hotels in London is that you are in a shoe box - here I had a decent sized room with a desk and chair + nice quiet area - could keep my window open and sleep - rare in London! The coffee at breakfast!

Friendly personal, beds were good, location perfect for stay in London city center. Breakfast could have been a bit more diverse. Lift were being repaired, could only use a small staff lift.

The location was ideal for the venue we attended which was within 3 minutes walk away, the main reason we booked. The instructions given by the receiptionist on how to find the hotel when within 400 yards was frustrating as it took us completely out of our way, wasting time approx 30 mins! Room 33 bathroom, the bath was in a very poor condition. Breakfast: not available pre 7am, even though it had been confirmed we could get access at 6.45 when I rang to check the day before. As a consequence we had to leave without breakfast completely.

The premises were ugly, and very old; the armchair in my room is very old and dirty, the chair next to the table is also old and dirty, the carpet is very hold and ugly. The bathroom is very old and badly repaired; the rubber at the bottom of the glass panel in the bathroom is coming off, the white sealant around the glass panel and the bathtub is very badly done, hot water tap in the bathtub doesn’t close properly. The water system in the toilet makes a huge noise, etc.

The reception area is bright and modern and the staff were very informative. Literally minutes from Oxford circus so ideal for shopping and the west end, this is the best point of this hotel. Accommodation was clean and very spacious. Continental brekkie was alright and replenished by staff plus tables cleared promptly. Carpets throughout rooms and corridors are worn and tired as is the décor. The furniture in the rooms is good quality but dated. Showers, toilets, tiles etc again tired and dated. Kitchen area in the apartment basic. It is an old building but I don't think this excuses the décor and furnishings. I felt as if we were visiting my great grandfathers home. It was my sisters first visit to London and I was quite ashamed of the accom I had booked for them. It certainly was not cheap but you are paying mostly for the location. Afraid to say I will not be returning or recommending this hotel to anyone.

Great for Regent street/Oxford Street shopping around the corner. Apartment had 2 bedrooms, good size. near Oxford Circus for tube and Airport easy run. Bathroom and kitchen need a revamp, smelt musty and cold, need a revamp. Breakfast very basic, could be improved upon . .fresh fruit, fresh croissants would be a start, should say that only cold breakfast available. Mobile internet access paid for in room ,did not work, despite calling provider and getting I Pad checked.

Just a few minutes walk from Oxford Circus and was situated perfectly for an appointment we had and also shops and restaurants. Breakfast was reasonable. Reception staff were very helpful. Was very warm . The hotel was in need of a good upgrade. Very tatty carpets throughout and single bed in family room needs changing due to a dip in the centre. Very noisy on road side.
