We really liked the location of the hotel - very central for the shops and sightseeing When we arrived at the hotel we were told they could not give us the rooms we had booked for the first night because of water damage. They offered a hotel at Hammersmith some distance away and then in the early evening when we went back to the hotel to collect our cases we were told alternative accommodation consisting of two flats had been arranged in Gloucester Place. At that time of day we had no alternative but to accept that. The alternative accommodation was not suitable - the flats were not clean and did not have the same facilities as the hotel bedrooms. We felt the reception staff did not communicate well what the position was and we felt very badly let down. |

good location for shopping in oxford st,carnaby st, close to tube station. good pubs close by. hotel has a nice relaxed feel about it. reception staff are only there to check you in and take your money. they were most unfriendly and would never offer a greeting as we left and returned to the hotel. all staff were foreign nationals.we asked for directions once but got no help. we were in room 41 which was dated.no shelves anywhere in room for clothes. old fittings and dodgy bath/shower mixer unit. no shelf in bathroom for my washbag. could hear all footsteps from room overhead. trains run underneath the hotel, so i would advise not taking rooms on low floors. one internet station for entire hotel, and it was always unavailable. poor continential breakfast. no bar. hotel rates are on a par with other city hotels whitch offer far more comfort. |

I was extremely impressed by how clean the hotel was overall. The staff was extremely helpful. There were no toiletries in the bathroom. |

the rooms the staff were not helpful at all, they were impolite and did not try to help us as tourists. When asked about a few key tourist locations nearby they simply said they didnt know anything about it. Also, I needed the internet urgently and the internet service in the hotel was out of order, when I asked was there any other way of retrieving the internet in the hotel or in the area they just said, no. Very unhelpful. |

The room was clean and comfortable. Excellent location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Altogether a very pleasant stay. The water was very variable in temperature and there was nothing we could do about it. |

It was close to the theatre, main shops and conference centre which made our stay less stressful. It was a shame that we could not get dinner there. |

Good location. Very close to shopping areas, theatres, restaurants and sightseeings There was a very bad smell in our room throughout our stay. We complained but unfortunately you moved only the two of us into the basement, a room not used for guests. |

As to me it was a cosy hotel with nice personal. The location is excellent as well. There was no free access to the internet, therefore I had to pay for it separately. |

We had a nice big room with a seperate bedroom. It was quiet and comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast rooms were a bit like youth hostel refectories. Okay but not everyone's taste. |

It was so close to Oxford street. It was very very clean. The apartment we stayed in (no 56) was a good size. Double room for me and my husband - twin room for our two daughters (age 25 and 27). Large tv in sitting room, portable in double room. Our apartment had no shower, only a bath - that was very inconvenient. All the kitchen had was a microwave and fridge - no cooker. It was quite old fashioned. There was construction going on quite close to us so the racket was terrible. There was no bar in the hotel. Also there was only a continental buffet breakfast - no bacon / sausage / eggs etc. |
