Awfull. From when we arrived no bulb in corridor so could not see how to open door, room looked very tired but we can put up with this but then beds hard, when you empty the sink the water comes up through the bath and the smell from the bath plug hole was foul and surly cant be healthy. Try and sleep in that room my god might as well have slept outside the noise from traffic and people was very loud indeed. Breakfast oh my god it was i felt like a truckers road side cafe with plastic table cloths on the tables (never knew you could still get them) Tables not set very poor selection with a tray of cheap brown/white bread, selection of jams, no choice of milk just full fat, no vegiterian yougurts so we just had bread and jam. I was astonished to watch staff come into the dinning room with thier own cups take a tea bag and make thier own cuppa then come back out and take bread to make thier own toast to take through to the back (this using food ment for guests who had paid over the odds) Another staff member had an old tea towel full of holes and used an unlabled spray gun full of liquid and sprayed this liquid onto the cloth in front of the food them wiped the tables i was absolutly astonished i just had to leave it was distgusting. Can i leave my lougage we asked reception yes we could and she pointed through there first door on your left which was a store room no lock on the door and no tickets given for when you reclaim bags back anyone could walk in. We just left and paid £8.50 for each of our bags to be left at Euston station. We have stayed in a number of hotels in London as we go there 3/4 times a year and they have been fine along with a lovley cooked breakfast. I strongly urge people not to spend thier hard earned cash on this place as other hotels that cost the same would offer higher and more hygenic conditions.

The Breakfast was just as advertised. All food was replenished when needed, tables cleared promptly, and the food service area kept clean. Location was great for the major shopping streets. Underground was reasonable close. Room 30 had a leak with water dripping from the ceiling above the bath tub from arrival to departure. No apparent effort to repair during our stay. Leak was reported to front desk and two men came promptly to survey but not action. No offer to move us or compensated for the situation of drip while using tub. We have no idea of the source of the water making the ceiling leak. Hotel likely located above underground track hence noise from tube trains.

Generous room sizes. Period building. Quality furniture. We were expecting a double en-suite and were given more of a suite. The "shower bath" was a real shocker, to the extent that we didn't like to use it. Stained and badly worn enamel, with the ugliest plastic hose imaginable attached to the taps. As an alternative, there was the sink, so deeply cracked that we were surprised it didn't leak. Even though the rooms had no doubt been cleaned adequately, this all gave an indelible impression of lurking grime and germs. Shame, as it could be so easily rectified.

The hotel and room were very clean, the bed was comfortable and the hotel was away from main traffic route so reasonably quiet. Also there is a lift to all floors. The continental style buffet breakfast was quite adequate with a varied choice. I think the reception staff could make more of an effort to greet or acknowledge guests when they move through the reception area, but if help was needed were friendly and helpful

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel. It is well located to tube stations and is within walking distance of most of the main shopping areas and theatre district. I have always found it warm, clean and the continental breakfast adequate. The staff were always helpful and friendly. This is not a luxurious hotel but it does the business. If it could keep its prices a bit lower it would be even better.

One word could describe this hotel: awful. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed. I advise all the guests who are thinking of booking there, to avoid it. The room was old and tired, there was a disgusting smell from the first minute we entered the room, coming probably from the dirty carpet. Old dirty courtins, old blanket without a blanket case, linen with holes, dirty walls, awful! The mattress was so soft and old, we could feel the innerspring on our body.We woke up every morning with backaches. And no frige! And on top, they ask 160 pounds per night! Perhaps not much for London, but a lot of money for what they offer. The breakfast was a joke, but we wouldn't expect something better from this hotel. Nothing fresh. The breakfast staff was all the time inside the kitchen, speaking loudly and having no contact with the breakfast room, ignoring the new guests who couldn't find a clean table to sit. And when they were asked to clean them, they cleaned the plastic table covers with the same dirty piece of cloth they cleaned the chairs! Housekeeping police needs to arrest them!!!I Could go on and write more but I just advice everyone to avoid this hotel.

Rather good location in 10 mins walking distance from Oxford Circuit Underground station. Breakfast rather simple but enough of everything and presented nicely. For a weekend with the family it was ok. Reception staff not very friendly and not much interested to help and cooperate (breakfast staff very helpfull). For the 4 bed room/appartment a kitchenet was promised however was not there. The beds are at the lower end of comfort.

Location was very good There was no breakfest food available anymore when we came to eat one quarter before breakfest ended up. Some meat and some green would have been very tasty with breakfest. Hotel was also quite noisy. Price was pretty high compared to facilities.

We booked into an apartment within the hotel and it was great that all the family could be together. We could also walk to where we wanted to go, but it was also handy for the tube stations, etc. The rooms could do with a lick of paint to smarten them up.

Close to most things we wanted to do over the weekend, pub on the corner served lovely food in the daytime. Bed not the most comfortable, but my husband slept well as did our friends in the next room. Found room quite warm in the night but couldn't open window due to noise outside, something I'm just not used to so maybe wont be too bad for other people.

I have just returned from a two night stay at Astor Court with my two grown up daughters. We stayed in a triple room which had three single beds. The room was spacious, clean and with a good sized bathroom. The hotel is convenient for shopping in Oxford Street (maybe too convenient!) and is close to Oxford Circus tube station making it easy to get around London. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is perfectly situated, very close to oxford street and the London palladium. The continental breakfast was nice and the beds very comfy. The staff could have been a lot friendlier, i asked for an ironing board but one did not turn up so i had to go to reception and ask again. Thee was no security at the hotel anyone could walk in and the luggage department was unlocked.

It was well located for Oxford Street shopping, Coventry Garden etc. It was clean & reasonably priced for an overnight stay It was clean but not very modern, toilet cistern was very old fashioned. There wasn't much choice of hot drinks in the room, just tea or coffee

Has a good location to city centre and Oxford street. It is not clean.. Very old design and furniture.. The receptionist barely smiles.. The breakfast is poor, the wifi is not free and is very expensive.. The price paid for one night is not worth it at all. You can hear the external noises from other rooms and floors..We would not stay there again!!!!

Hotel was walking distance to regent street and Oxford street so loads of shops and restaurants to choose from. Even closer is a Sainsburys local,a couple of pubs and nandos. We had a family apartment that had fridge and microwave. The room had a bit of a musty smell, maybe it wasn't used very often
