Astors Hotel - 4* Guest Accommodation

Mycket fint och välinrett rum, fräscht badrum. Vi hade platt-tv och hårfön på rummet. Frukosten var helt ok, dock var det lite trångt i frukostmatsalen (tror att det var 4 bord) Fin utsikt från våningen högst upp.

Vi bodde högst upp (var 3 eller 4 våningar) vilket betyder att vi hade sex trappor upp till rummet och ingen hiss. kändes lite jobbigt ibland när man hade bråttom, eller när man glömt något och fick gå upp för alla trapporna igen. På kvällarna kändes rummet lite kallt.

The thing that we liked the most about our stay at the Astors Hotel, was the time of our departure.

We arrived quite late in the evening. The room was not ready, the extra bed that had been reserved was not available and the car park that we had reserved in advance did not exist. While we were waiting for things to be organised another guest came and told us to escape right now, not to stay, that the hotel was really the worst one ever. The member of staff on duty took us to look at another room that was available for our 15 year old daughter instead of the extra bed. The room was full of unmade beds (rather like a dormitory), it smelt really bad and was full of dirty and wet laundry. Totally unacceptable. We were then taken to our room, my husband had to help locate and carry an extra bed to the room for my daugher, the member of staff was dripping sweat all over the bed linens and towels. The room was not clean, the mattress was so soft it was like a sponge and we spent the entire night trying not to roll into the hole in the middle. When we went upstairs in the morning we had to climb over a pan of eggs that were being cooked on the floor. The staff were unable to tell us how to pay London congestion charges. It was all in all a very expensive 4*(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) hotel.

The breakfast room is too cramp.

Near the city centrum and Victoria Station,

Breakfast and dining-room was too small, we was waiting 15 minutes for free table.

Near to every intrsting point to visit in London

The last 2 nights I spent in this hotel were so noisy ! the reception did not interfere at any moment to ask the people who were the source of the noise to stop disturbing people when sleeping (2 nights with the same problem, the first night about 01:30 and the second night about 3:00 am> the noise and th knocking on my door for more than 30 mins each time).

Clean, comfortable and centrally located for convenience.

Breakfast area far too small, not enough space or room to seat all guests at once.

The room was very well presented, quiet location (for london) good value for money, helpful staff and breakfast was included.

Roon was a little too warm.

Really great location in central London! Not big rooms, but ok. Best value for money.

The rooms were nice and clean, the staff was helpful and we had great time here.

Frendly reseptionist, breakfast ok for a one night stay, very beautiful decoration in the room, very clean toilet with on BIG shower.

Bed was too narrow for a adult couple. Hotel´s frontier was not the same standard than the rooms, we first didn´t recognice it as a hotel.

the hotel was a disappointment from the reception , the room the lack of services available for a so called 4 star hotel. The carpets were dirty, no lift, the furniture in the rooms cheap, the tiles in the bathroom dirty, These were NOT shown on the site and does not correspond to the way the hotel actually is.. for me thats dishonest

Friendly, helpful staff. Room was comfortable, nice TV good selection of channels (freeview), excellent coffee making facilities and lots of cupboard space in the bathroom. Shower was excellent too

The bathroom gor very cold (temperature was near freezing in London at the time though)
