Room facing the seafront.
No lights or lit up signs outside the building making it really difficult to find in the evening. When I finally got there at 7pm. and checked in, the reception seemed to leave in a hurry with an empty desk.
Excellent location and facilities for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
Lack of baggage lift.
Good location, clean and comfortable for a short stay with no frills.
Outside was not lit clearly to find in the dark on a winters evening.
Cheap, clean, friendly
Great value and location with superb sea views. Ideal for our theatre trip. Spacious room 2 bunks and a mezzanine with 2 singles, everything we needed.
The blinds were past their best but once opened we had sea views.
The friendly staff andlocation and value for money
The illuminated fire exit sign and overnight radio in the hallwaysover nights dusturbing my sleep
the hotel is brilliant even though there no food you have loads of place to eat and is a nice quiet place
there was not enough coffee put in the room and there was no hand towel but the only thing is you can't get more tea or coffee as the reception was closed from 8pm and when I went to check out at half 9 there still was no reception staff
air freshener outside room squirting every 15mins.
location is spot on central to everything you need clean rooms comfy beds no breakfast but near enough to some great little places so not a problem at all
Loved everything from the location to the clean and very reasonable price room at Astrsl lodge. Have been telling everyone and I will Def be back for longer. Thanks to all please.
The only one complaint I had was that it was too warm in the room, even with the heating off. An option to Borrow a fan from Reception would have Been a great option.
Single room that looked out onto an alley. Disturbed every morning at 6am by clanging of crockery from next door hotel preparing for breakfast. At night time disturbed by the parties of german students staying making loud noise when returning. Also draught from room next door window being open was like an icy blast into the room. Shower door opened outwards so when shower switched on water went all over the floor and door when closed did not fit properly so water flooded floor when showering. Handle inside shower door peeling metal paint and ended up cutting myself on shards of metal. Couldnt wait to finish my work contract and go home!
The mezzanine level made good use of the space. Nice to have a balcony over looking beach. Everything spotless. Good supply of tea and soap and shower gel provided. Towels and bedding good condition but basic.
Double bed on mezzanine but chairs, tv and tea facilities on floor level as is shower room. Have to move furniture to use balcony. No ventilation unless balcony door open and didn't feel safe to leave open as shared balcony and overlooks street. Kettle table badly placed below TV. Plaster board cheaply finished. Had far better rooms for less. Unlikely to book again at this price.
sea front view
wooden floor a bit dusty and it should be cleaned daily the rest is excellent.
It just takes 5 minutes'walk to the pubs and coffee shops.
sea view, modern and comfortable, near to all other amenities, nice staff, very helpful.
Being at the top of the hotel and the window facing onto an alley
Very friendly desk staff. Comfortable bed. Quirky room.
Just about clean, need to bleach that grout in the shower! Very mean providing just two tea bags and no coffee. Stairwell carpet not fitted securely. A lot of money for just a room and no breakfast really but adequate for an overnight stay. Only one reading lamp and that was by the single bed.
Rebbecca is a dream receptionist nothing is too much trouble and delivered with a smile ..fabulous customer service for such a young employee well done Rebecca
Little noisy but in centre of town its really to be expected
Location and cleanliness were excellent. Parking was good too in that there was free underground parking for the length of the stay.
The room had stairs to go onto a floor within it. The upstairs area was too low for an adult to stand up without hitting one's head, and letting a child sleep upstairs is also dangerous as they might fall down when going to toilet in the night. Very odd!
The staff attention was very good, as I arrive after they went home, I was given code to get in and my key was there waiting for me. Also the next day they were very helpful
The music from a nearby disco, but it wasn't too loud, also the pigeons, worst were the pigeons outside my window on the roof.
Carparking easy & close within underground (public) facility - free pass provided Easy walk to old Hastings Modern bathroom
the location is great - on the sea front and 5 mins away from all the seafront attractions and close to the castle too.
we got a small twin room on the fourth floor and no lift. There was only one small bottle of shower gel for two people; had to go down to ask at reception (no phone in the room) they had none there and we were told they would bring some but it never happened! Also, reception isn't open 24 hours/day.
Towels provided. Shower cubicle very clean and pleased with provision of shower gel.
Would want air conditioning in family room.
Clean & location ok.
No plug in wash basin even though I asked for it to be replaced, still nothing after 5 days.
