I had the single room, basics all covered. Very good kitchen facilities, and very helpful informative and discreet host.
TV would have been better wall mounted. No desk space was a draw back if you are there for work.
Quiet Street. Lovely decor. Friendly owner
location & cost
loo needs a plumber!
The owner Rob, an artist, was brilliant and invited us to use all facilities in home. Comfy bed, spacious room, ample supplies to help yourselves. Artists work everywhere and fantastic stained glass windows all around house, Short walk to underground train.
Upstairs bedrooms only and being physically disabled was a little difficult but managed ok. That was the only minus in all the facilities.
The fact that it's Bob's home. The communal, help yourself breakfast
Location was fantastic loved getting my own breakfast! Bobs property is so interesting - full of interest and character Bob was brilliant with our check in time The price is incredible We could park our car Pleasant room
I knew it had a shared bathroom -didnt know there were two bathrooms so turned out to be fine
The host (Bob) was helpful and welcoming. The room and all facilities we used were working/comfortable. Wifi worked, fast and always available. The location is great if you need to be in Chiswick as we did. Easy transport to London central if necessary.
Excellent location and really helpful owner. Really easy to find and we were able to park right outside. Parking via a permit during the day which we were able to buy from Bob. Nice places to eat in Chiswick, really close to Chiswick high street. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.
Filthy bathrooms and blocked toilets, only cold water in the mornings to wash, filthy kitchen impossible to have breakfast in, room dusty with questionable bedinen, contracted a toe infection from using the bathroom, never again
Parking permit to park on street Homely Comfortable Friendly owner Great location
Bob sorted out the parking permit for us he is very helpful
Flexible check in Low cost Friendly Relaxed Spacious Homely
Bathroom shared, but I knew in advance of booking - just personal preference. No full length mirror
Very good stay for people who like eclectic. If you like the homogenised atmosphere of Premier Inns, move along, this isn't for you.
Nothing, though we were lucky with finding a parking space very close to the house.
Pleasant, friendly, obliging owner.
Locks on doors awkward. Sometimes necessary to slam doors to close them thus disturbing other guests. Creaking floorboards on landing.
Lovely room, friendly host - who is an artist, so there are lots of interesting things to look at. Lots of nice restaurants on nearby Chiswick High Street.
We didn't mind helping ourselves to breakfast, but it would be nice to have more variety - more interesting bread, maybe yoghurt... fruit salad would be a big plus. But then this place is much cheaper than most London B&Bs...
At Home Chiswick is a lovely place to stay. Situated in a quite little street only 2 minutes from the bustling Chiswick High Road. Loads of resturants, wine bars, shops etc.5 minute walk to Turnham Green underground station. The house itself is small but perfectly adequate. Our bedroom was lovely, large double bed and plenty of room to manouver. Bathroom was just across the hall. Wet room is downstairs with a far better shower than the upstairs one. Kitchen is a help yourself affair, plenty of food available for breakfast. There is a friendly atmosphere in this house, warm welcome and relaxed ambience. Great value for money in an otherwise expensive area of London. Perfect place to stay if you dont take yourself too seriously
Located in a lovely area of west London. Transport nearby. Bob, the owner is very nice and accommocating. Very relaxed atmosphere. Clean rooms and bathrooms.
For anyone who is a light sleeper, the floors creak loudly when someone gets up during the night, so you might be disturbed.
Value, location, pleasant and helpful host
Convenient location for those flying in or out of Heathrow, in an appealing suburb with good restaurants and pubs. 5 minute walk from Turnham Green stop on District Line. Bob Osborne is a welcoming host. Bed: a; downstairs shower: a, Do-it-yourself breakfast: A.
You need to arrange an arrival time but then you are made most welcome. The location was, for me, absolutely perfect. Close to the Tube and my business meeting place (the reason for the stay). You are staying in an artist's home and the walls and bookcases are full of his work. Due to a cancellation I had a bigger room than the one booked so I may have "rose tinted specs" when it comes to the spacious room given to me. You know that there is only a shared bathroom so this shouldn't come as a shock. You can use the kitchen to make a cup of tea/coffee whenever you wish. The Internet was free but quite weak in my room
The breakfast food (self service) was fine but the whole kitchen would benefit from a good clean. The plates and cutlery were frankly rather dirty. Only for this reason would I not recommend this location.....my friends would wonder about my standards. This is slightly unfair but.......!
It is very close to local amenities & parking is quite good.
The rooms are very basic, you share a bathroom with all other guests, the house is in a poor state of repair as it is in the process of being renovated.
Cool and comfortable
Friendly owner. Relaxed atmosphere.
Had to wash the crockery for breakfast first as it was not clean.
Location was good (for me)
