The location 2 mins from Buckingham palace. The breakfast was really nice with good quality food. Rooms comfortable and warm.
The size of the room and bathroom are big for London. Staff is very helpful.
Breakfast staff, concierge staff, gym, room facilities, check out efficiency, free Wi Fi that works
Staff were helpful, smiley and polite. When we had a problem with a wardrobe light at midnight they sent an engineer in less than 5 mins. Fixed perfectly. Bathroom was beautiful! Felt very pampered. Full length mirror and proper hair dryer! (It's in the wardrobe ladies!) Excellent choice of pillows.
Unfortunately the district and circle lines were closed. We didn't realise until we had walked to St James Park. Perhaps the front desk could make a point to inform guests on arrival?
Loved the whole experience here from checking in, to checking out, amazing staff, beautiful place, great location, will be back soon.
Quiet comfortable room. Stylish bar area with relaxing music from professional piano player. Excellent base for sightseeing.
Long windy passage to room on 6th floor.
The demeanour of the staff
Price of breakfast
Location, concierge and multi lingual staff.
If this hotel was 5 miles from where it is I wouldn't have stayed their. This point precisely demonstrates why it is popular and why it is so expensive. I was not impressed with the bed; the aprings were tired and worn out. I was also charged twice for my room and they apologized but said they could not rectify it until the bank opened. This is not so great when they deduct $1500 from your account.
Close to the venue where we were attending out daughter's graduation ceremony
Hotel had overcharged our credit card by £50.00 despite the bill being agreed on departure - awaiting outcome.
I liked the location, the lobby and cafe and eating facilities, the courtyard, the staff, and the (discounted) price. Excellent for a business trip as one can meet business contacts right in the lobby or in the cafe, bar, and/or restaurants in the hotel.
I have no complaints at all. This is a fine property and a well managed, comfortable place.
Stayed here on my wedding night. Marvellous location (beautiful walk to/from central London) and a fine hotel with great amenities, plus very quiet for its size. Will be back for Christmas!
A minor gripe, but no Radio 2 on the in-house entertainment!
Not advised 2nd floor has smoking rooms - it stinks your room out even when you ask for non-smoking - not pleasant
Nice clean Hotel.
Very unstable Staff in the Restaurant.
Location and facilities
staff were lovely, lovely décor and general ambience
our room was just above the extractor fans or something like that and we had a smell of fat when we arrived and opened the window. Also the fans or whatever they were droned all through the night
Really liked this hotel and the staff were excellent!
The room was good, clean and had everything we needed, I was just expecting something a little more special as the hotel itself is very special!
We enjoyed the late night bar, the room was lovely and the Barclays bicycle station was right outside the main entrance. Local secure paking was reasonably priced too.
There was nothing not to like.
The location was excellent and the building is beautiful. It was close to central London attractions and the tube is just a short walk away making travel very convenient. The bedding was expected of a four stat hotel and room service was so obliging.
I was on the 5th floor but could still occasionally hear the rumble of the underground.I wouldn't recommend it to light sleepers. The rooms could also do with some dusting. My guest had accidentally bumped into the mid height light fixtures near the dressing mirror and there was a cloud of dust.
Hotel and staff very good.
Bathroom could do with a makeover Bed too hard but that's personal taste
Beautiful reception. Extremely helpful and polite staff
From the moment we entered the hotel everybody was very welcoming from the doorman to the receptionist Room on the 3rd floor was very very nice. loved the fact that we had tea making facilities with lovely shortbread biscuits. Great hairdryer nothing was to much for the staff . O almost forgot we got a great deal from bookings.com .
Nothing negetive about this Hotel.
Extensive breakfast, very helpful staff and will certainly book again
Weekend was too short, wish we had booked for longer.
Location - Buckingham Palace / Houses of Parliament only 5/10 mins walk from hotel. Hotel staff pleasant and helpful .
View from room allocated was non existent ie wall 3 foot from window . Requested change which receptionist did with view over garden although room was smaller . Breakfast although good is not worth £25 per person.
Plse dont ask me eveytime as u i stay there every other week or ro
