Been here before. Used to stay round the corner in Argyle Square but this is much nicer, principally for its location with great facilities 100m from the door I.E. cafes to suit all tastes, internet cafe and short walk to Euston, Kings Cross and tubes. Staff very courteous and welcoming, also left luggage facilities a bonus. Single room basic but clean and functional and the hotel's policy of recycling old furniture gives it a little bit more character than modern 'flat pack' fitted budget hotels. Stayed in the annexe which is about 2 doors down. The hall/stairways look a little run down but if this is a recent addition - perhaps there is a program of refurbishment planned. Stairs are steep and narrow so not suitable for elderly or less agile people. Have a great trip!

St Athans is in an excellent position for foot access to most attractions and is an easy 5 minute walk from either Russell Square or Kings Cross station. Close to shopping centre, laundrette and many restaurants. Nothing

Room was clean, light airy and very comfortable. Very good value for money. The shared shower was a tad small (ie no room to get changed) and it was a little walk back to the room.

- Great location, very close to tube stations, Kings Cross/St. Pancras, British Museum etc. - Quiet environment - No need to pay deposit/ pay in advance - Staff were extremely friendly and helpful - Coffeehouse next door, very convenient - Bedrooms cleaned everyday while you're out and the shared bathroom facility is very clean also - You can ask staff to re-heat your food and get hot water - Free wifi in the living room area - Waitrose supermarket a few minutes walk away, as well as a Tescos Express - An improvement would be to have a microwave/kettle in the room or in the main living area. - It'd also be good if wifi could reach the rooms upstairs.

Staff were helpful and friendly, liked the old fashioned decor and interesting little things all round the hotel, location is great, 10 minutes walk from King's Cross. Everything you need from a hotel in my opinion! Especially for the price. Beds were really comfy too. The cafe that you have access to downstairs is really nice, great that you get 10% off. Would have been nice to have our own bathroom, but it wasn't much of an issue, didn't have to queue and they were clean so it was OK. Other than that, nothing!

Awesome location close to the tube. Room was very clean and cleaned everyday. The cafe was good. It is small, but no problem for a solo traveller really. It definitely needs wifi in every room. It's 2013.

Georgian building with character; secure and helpful professional reception staff; trendy cafe; refreshed recently in my room with an antique writing desk, art deco wardrobe and smart modern shared showers/ toilets - never faced any queues. Superb hot showers. Mutually respectful fellow guests Double glazing needed in windows; take ear plugs and eye shades

- The location was good, from euston it was one train stop to king's cross station. - The staff was nice and friendly, they helped us when we asked for anything - The small television in the room - The bathroom! It's only one bathtub with no handhelp shower, and we were both girls with long hair and it was nearly impossible to shower properly. - The size of the room - Thin walls, neighbours complained for small noises
