The St. Athans Hotel is family-run, simple and clean. In central London, it is within walking distance of the British Museum, the University of London and the New British Library. St. Athans offers rooms with shared bathrooms in Bloomsbury, an area once home to writers Charles Dickens and Virginia Woolf. This individually styled hotel is in several Georgian town houses (Grade II heritage-listed status), with interesting original features. There is free Wi-Fi in public areas, and a lounge area for guests to relax in. St. Athans is a short bus ride from the West End, with its many shops, theaters and Madame Tussauds. The hotel is near the tube station and the Euro Star train statton. It make travelling easy. The surrounding have eateries and grocery stores. The environment is quiet but safe. The bath room is too small even for an Asian. The shower curtain is broken.

The location was good. We could store our luggage free of charge. Too small a room. No facecloths. Terrible disrepair. Drafty and no heat in the room. Asked staff not to enter room and they cleaned while we were away. No coffee or tea available in the room. Everywhere were signs to be quiet. Overall, we were very disappointed.

There's not a lot to like, in this hotel. The only thing aceptable were the shared bathrooms: clean and new. The room was miniscule and noisy (from the room next door). The bed wouldn't stand still and the furniture was old and of bad quality. We had to climb to the last floor (4th) with our bags, through steep, complex and apparently dangerous. Wi-fi only works on the first floor. We found the room extremely overpriced.

St. Athans Hotel is very easy to access by Tube. Plus, there are some groceries and supermarkets around the area. Laundromat locates just some steps from the hotel. I booked for the room with shared toilet/shower facilities but I never had problem with the queue. The single room I got was very very tiny but it might be a general problem for any hotels in London. There is no elevator. I got the room on second floor, so there is no problem for me but anyone getting the room on the upper floors may take it into account. Hotel provides one computer for free using but the speed is so slow.

I was looking for an ecomony hotel for a short stay. This hotel was basic like so many others. I was staying in an annex on the top floor with a shared toilet. There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room, but I was aware of that when I made my booking. Breakfast was not included in the price but there was a breakfast room where payment was made sepererately - I did not use this facility. I was aware of the above so as far as I was concerned it met my limited expectations. Few channels were available on an old television set, but I rarely watch television so this wasn't an issue for me.

Location was convenient to st pancras and hop on hop off bus tours for sight seeing. 2 bathrooms for three floors of rooms is a bit of a stretch for convenience. You can hear everything in the rooms around you very clearly. If you're noisy, it won't bother you, but if you like quiet, book elsewhere and spend a bit more.

Good situation, nearby main trainstation St Pancras and tub King's Cross = important Friendly reception with helpfull tips for sightseeing. Clean rooms with good bed - the only thing to improve is that there is no possibility to make coffee or tea (which is usually in English hotels)

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast in the cafe below and the service there was also wonderful. The room was comfortable and I had a good sleep. I needed a hair dryer and went to the reception desk to get one. There was only one there and it blew up when I plugged it in.
