Location, good price, clean and safe
Stairs to room, Road noise
Bathroom dirty,room small...Wow,not again I am 105% sure...
close to Kings cross station
Not an off toilet/shower fot the number of room. no elevator and really thiny stairs ... not convenient with large luggage. Long and complicated registration system for the internet ... does not work all the time !!
What you could expect for the money in central London. Bed comfortable and staff were reasonable. Good to leave luggage there after checking out.
I did expect there to be some tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The cafe shut at 8pm so there was no where in the hotel to get a hot drink (which my life revolves around!).
friendly staff, excellent breakfast at the coffeehouse next-doors, good location
small room, not ensuite, no tv, very basic, though the bathrooms on the corridor were clean and ok.
Comfortable, affordable and close to main station of arrival. They allow pets to stay, which was my main reason for booking with them.
The wifi took a long time to log into, minor annoyance.
Staff really friendly and everything was clean.
The location was very good for the theatre and the City. The Bloomsbury coffee shop was very good and the staff were friendly.
There was only one bathroom
bathroom not working on my floor. and noone cared to fix it. small room
I am so glad traditional hotels like this still exist. We are a family with 2 small children. We have stayed in hotels ranging from 5 star to 1 star. This is a 1 star hotel I would confidently recommend. It is quaint but very charming. Furnishings are simple but clean, and the shared bathrooms are modern and well located. The owners and their staff were welcoming and happily attended to their guests needs. They even let us leave our luggage in a locked storage room when we went to stay elsewhere overnight, returning again the following day to stay at St Athans for another night. Finally, the location of this 1 star hotel is the reason we chose it in the first place. It is between Euston and Kings Cross stations (also St Pancras). From these you can travel to just about anywhere. It's also close enough to walk to many great areas in Central London. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés and small supermarkets around St Athans, including Bloomsberry Cafe just downstairs which is reasonably priced. St Athans.... We will return!
This hotel was in a fantastic location and the staff were very happy and helpful. WiFi worked all over the place, even on the very top most floor. A workout getting up to our room (54 stairs!) But it was such a pleasant stay in a wonderful old building.
It;s a reasonable place for those on a budget. Convenient for British Museum, London University and not too far from Euston and Kings Cross/St Pancras. Clean room. Polite staff.
One toilet and bathroom shared between four rooms.
Location, close to underground, train stations and many buse lines Price Wi-fi Friendly staff Sink in the room Bathrooms and showers clean and always available
Small basic rooms Shared bathrooms
The price is amazing for the location. The room was clean, if pretty basic, and the staff was friendly. Wifi worked in our room, which was great - I had thought it was only available in the lounge.
Shared bathrooms meant we often had to wait to use the shower or toilet. We were only given two rather thin towels at the beginning of our stay. Housekeeping came in daily and made the bed, but they never changed the sheets or gave us fresh towels.
Staff was helpful
Looks more like a hostal, single room with no shower or washroom for 67£. It is hard to get anything cheaper in London anyways.
Everything was great! The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean. The room was cozy, clean, and the bed was comfortable. I am looking forward to staying again.
St athans was great for a budget accommodation! Room was small but clean, many washrooms in decent condition. If you have Mobility issues you would want to ask to stay on lower for. Good location, safe and close to transit or good walk away. Very basic hotel, but great price!
Pet friendly (amidst so many hotels that claim to be so just to take it back when you call to make sure!), clean, friendly staff, nice rooms! The hotel is maybe a bit tricky to find at first but it's just minute away from several tube stations and is surrounded by lots of restaurants and local supermarkets. I stayed in the hotel a few more nights and the staff did their best to accommodate my needs.
Location was good. Very close to tube and it's quite nice to walk to Oxford Street or Chinatown if you don't mind a bit of a walk. Very good with luggage too and let us leave our luggage there at no extra charge.
The room is very basic but fine for a short stay.
Staff Cafe downstairs You get a free hot drink Open 24/7 Great location, near tube Very clean and tidy
Bed rickety, rubbish pillows Load people in room next to mine
I liked the location and access to subway stations (Russel & Euston). It hard to beat the price even the rooms are a little bit small. It's friendly and very clean place to stay.
A little bit noisy from the street
Friendly staff Cheap and clean
Compact room Lumpy bed
not enough socket for charging
The car noise on d Maine rd, and the funny stairs especially to get on the 3rd fl. Lack of TV in bedroom if I didn't have my IPad would never stayed at all.
Their service to their guests in the cafe was great. Everyone was nice and very helpful.
It was a hassle to have shared bathrooms but definitely good value for money if you just want a place to sleep.
