Very well located, friendly hosts, very nice breakfasts at the Bloomburry café at the hotel's basement.
Quality of the mattress
Good staff, great location
The toilet was in the shower
I liked the hotel in my first stay so when I knew I had to go back to London it was the first place I looked
The bed, the location, the cafè beneath were all fantastic!
The window we had was adjacent to the street and was very noisy.
Cheap, nasty & smelly. The curtains did not fit, the "hotel" was stifling hot & un-comfortable and the bedding was dirty!!!. The room had a very peculiar stench. Two young able males watched me struggle up two flights of stairs with my suitcase with out offering to help. Disgusted!!!!
Staff were excellent very friendly. The hotel was in a good location for our needs. The room was lovely and warm. Clean.
My daughter and I just stayed for one night. The bed was very uncomfortable and the bedding was a sheet. A blanket that was all matted and a bread spread which I haven't seen being used for years. Good job the room was so warm because I didn't want to cover myself up. The showers weren't very clean either.
Very friendly staff. Room was dated but clean and nice. Quirky old hotel but I loved it. Great location - short walk away from downtown london.
Good position in London, 5 mins walk to underground station. The price are the cheapest nearby
There is no hot water in the room or any boilers. Two of us live in the room but there is only one charge. One of us have to go traveling with one phone charged. And the bathrooms are very poor.
Reception was open till 12:30 so I was able to check in quite late as I was travelling down from Birmingham with my new puppy.
When I checked in I was informed to get to my room I had to go back out side and walk 4 doors down but no major drama but I was just a little concerned as I'm not used to the UK being from the Channel Island. Once I found my room it was fine.
In a city where any decent hotel will set you back a couple of hundred bucks it's nice to find a hotel on the 'lower end'. Location is perfect, with a underground station a block away (from you can go straight to Heathrow). It's cheap and you have to share facilities, I wouldn't suggest celebrating your honeymoon here, but if you're just looking for a quiet well located place to crash, this is just it.
Friendly staff, interesting notice boards in the hall.
Awkward location of loos - especially in the middle of the night.
Staff sorted out a problem very quickly so that I felt safe and comfortable. I just need a bed to sleep in and a shower in the morning before work. I don't need a breakfast so I was quite happy ad would definitely stay here again.
Secure key entry and access overnight. All the facilities you could want including a free coffee in the cafe downstairs (even though I was room only). Comfortable and clean shared bathroom. The Bloomsbury Coffee House downstairs did a delicious breakfast & gives a discount to hotel guests.
The room was noisy at night, both with people coming into the hotel and the street.
At check-out, which I was asked to do in the evening before leaving, the receptionist charged the price directly in euro, without asking me if I prefer euros or pounds. When I later checked the exchange rate the difference between what my bank would have charged me for the same sum and what I paid the hotel was of more than 10 euros.
Location - right by tube (be sure to get Oyster card) Price (for central London)
Building was quite slanted but everything was clean It never is quite (lots if outside noise)
the location was good it was close to a metro station the area had many restaurants and facilities (though it was pretty expensive). compared to other hotels in london the value for money was good.
-lots of stairs no elevator -many people coming from other floors to use the bathroom so we had to wait to use it -really bad wifi because you had to enter a lot of things before you are able to use it
Room was very clean, everything you needed was available.
SO MANY STAIRS. Seriously, it was like climbing up to the attic to get to our room - only the young and sprightly could manage it! Especially with suitcases. And the showers were down a few flights of stairs, in a toilet cubicle. Weird.
This hotel is very close to the city center.
I do not recommend staying there in winter becouse windows are leaking.
- Location. 20 min walk from Convent Garden, 15 min walk from Camden Town, 30 min walk from Hyde Park. Also near Underground, for the people that don't like to walk - Staff, always helpfull - Confort, always hot, good beds, shared bathrooms always clean. - A lot of options to eat in the surroundings
- Nothing to point
Area and staff
Web access was not good. Each time I wanted to gain access I was required to sign in with name and password. Also you could not have more than one device on at anytime. This is simply archaic
Location is good Price (for london) Food in cafe downstairs is good
Small room Uncomfortable bed and pillow No bathroom on our floor
Friendly helpful staff
No en suite bathroom and batchroom on floor below room
i liked how close it was to major locations, the cleanliness of the bathroom and rooms, the size of the room, the hotel service, the cafe was nice, and i liked the complimentary drink for the cafe.
The WiFi was fine but it only could connect to 1 device not multiple, was a shame.
Comfortable beds, clean room. Quirky place, friendly staff.
Long way up the stairs.
Easy from Euston so location is good
Room was very small
