The price is amazing for the location. The room was clean, if pretty basic, and the staff was friendly. Wifi worked in our room, which was great - I had thought it was only available in the lounge.
Shared bathrooms meant we often had to wait to use the shower or toilet. We were only given two rather thin towels at the beginning of our stay. Housekeeping came in daily and made the bed, but they never changed the sheets or gave us fresh towels.
Everything was great! The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean. The room was cozy, clean, and the bed was comfortable. I am looking forward to staying again.
St athans was great for a budget accommodation! Room was small but clean, many washrooms in decent condition. If you have Mobility issues you would want to ask to stay on lower for. Good location, safe and close to transit or good walk away. Very basic hotel, but great price!
Pet friendly (amidst so many hotels that claim to be so just to take it back when you call to make sure!), clean, friendly staff, nice rooms! The hotel is maybe a bit tricky to find at first but it's just minute away from several tube stations and is surrounded by lots of restaurants and local supermarkets. I stayed in the hotel a few more nights and the staff did their best to accommodate my needs.
Staff Cafe downstairs You get a free hot drink Open 24/7 Great location, near tube Very clean and tidy
Bed rickety, rubbish pillows Load people in room next to mine
I liked the location and access to subway stations (Russel & Euston). It hard to beat the price even the rooms are a little bit small. It's friendly and very clean place to stay.
A little bit noisy from the street
Friendly staff Cheap and clean
Compact room Lumpy bed
Their service to their guests in the cafe was great. Everyone was nice and very helpful.
It was a hassle to have shared bathrooms but definitely good value for money if you just want a place to sleep.
Clean and Nice - good value for money
easy to access.

Friendly staff at family-run hotel. It's not a modern hotel but everything you need is there, including recently renovated bathrooms (bedrooms are older and functional, but fine). We stayed with three young kids under 6 in a family room for one night. There was space for our buggy in the luggage room and a lounge to read bedtime stories in while the baby went to sleep.
The hotel is perfectly located 5 minutes from Russell Square underground station, 10 minutes from King's Cross/St Pancrass stations. Perfect for sightseeing - you can get to the British Museum on foot. My room was small but cosy and clean, washbasin in the room came in handy. The bed was made each morning. I very much like the hotel's environment-friendly policy and them being upfront on their website about the uneven floors and old narrow stairs - all part of the old tenement's house charm, I guess. Overall it was a pleasant stay, I would recommend it to anyone, except for tourists with mobility issues (no lift).
- my bed had wheels and due to uneven floors I had to block it with a chair for it not to move with me during the night - I understand that the hotel standard calls for white towels, but when the hotel environment-friendly policy means not buying new towels but using old yellowish ones, it just does not make a good impression. I would suggest changing to darker coloured towels maybe? Overall impression was very good though. These are just minor points and my stay was pleasant.
Being able to leave our bag there.
Quite lucky that my husband and I are off slim build as the bed was quite small.
Excellent location , stayed 3 nights with 3 children , very helpful staff , would highly recommend . Shared bathrooms were very clean and not a problem as we initially thoght would be as plenty of bathrooms alway available. Just want to say a big thank you to all the staff for making our visit to london that much stress free..
This hotel was cheap and good for the purpose we required it for; which was a bed for the night before catching an early morning train to Paris. The hotel decor was old and shabby but I could not fault its cleanliness. We arrived late so didn't see staff but the person who checked us in was friendly and helpful. We did not stay long enough for breakfast, so cannot comment on this.
I did not like that there was not a bathroom on every floor. I would not stay here if I was spending more than one night or if I had to spend any significant time in the hotel but that is because I like my creature comforts
Good service of the staff, they are very friendly. Breakfast at Bloomery´s cafe is tastefull and cheap.
bathroom on third floot was very small and rather old.
Close and convenient to places of interest
Tiny room which was very stuffy due to warm weather and no airflow
I rather have bathroom lift and kettle etc
The bed was comfy , great location and friendly staff.
carpets dirty one electric point in a twin room free wifi but signal was poor beds bloody awful mini single beds
Location for Kings Cross/St Pancras Price Friendly staff
Location & price.
Shared bathroom & no fan for summer heat.
Dirty, old fashioned. No facilities whatsoever. Rooms seperated by partition wall, communal bathroom/ toilet. Bed looked like it would fall apart. No TV in room. Stairs/ floorboards creaky. Staff were rude, could barely speak English. Appalled.
Traveling as a family of five can be expensive, but the price was budget friendly and we were in the room for only a small part of the day, so the fact that the room was small was not an issue. The location is great, close to Kings Cross, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Stairs! Not unexpected, but if you have difficulty with stairs this is not for you.
LOVELY AND VERY HELPFUL AND VERY FRIENDLY
