The staff was very kind. The rooms were clean and the bathroom as well. Close to buses (behind the corner) and tube stop (5 minutes walking). Good price/quality so I definetely suggest this hotel. One morning we had to wait half an hour to get hot water on the shower

This was by far the worst experience we have ever had in our travels. The staff were rude and arrogant, particularly the lady we saw this morning, I believe German, well not english. I have never come across anyone more arrogant and rude. Still awaiting money unlawfully taken from my credit card for a room with broken windows, dirty floors, broken tiles. Disgusting! Everything, most disgusting and disturbing experience ever. Would not recommend to anyone. Rooms poor, broken tiles in bathroom, window didn't close, noisy between rooms, poorly mannered staff, card swipe didn't work, took money from my credit card acc despite paying cash. Most arrogant and rude woman working at the desk who should be sacked! Never again!

The hotel was clean and comfortable and good value for money. It is in a good location and is only 5 minutes away from Paddington underground station which is very convenient for getting into Central London. The hotel staff in the dining area were very rude. Breakfast was meant to be served between 7.30 and 9.30, however when we tried to order at 9.15 we were told that the kitchen was closing. We ended up just having cold toast instead of the cooked breakfast we had paid for and even this seemed like too much of an effort for the staff, who made us feel like we were keeping them from finishing work.

The only thing that I liked was the location of the hotel, which provided direct access to Paddington Station 1) The rooms were not clean at all 2) the staff hardly said goodmorning 3) the room was rubbish; there was moisture on the walls of the bathroom, the blankets were full of dust, the furniture were about to brake into pieces 4) there was a strong and irritating smell of paint all 24h as the room next to us was being painted-this led me to asthmatic crisis and I had to look for an open pharmacy in the midnight 5) the breakfast served only included poor quality english breakfast 6) the price was extremely high for a staying that was not compatible with hygeine principles

Good location. Trash can was full of garbage. Dirty blanket with a hole. No shampoo. No phone. disproportionate price in relation to other hotels . Demanded an additional 5% on the internet price for credit card payment. Every step of the customers over us made terrible squeaking noise and waked from sleep . We asked reception to call a taxi to the airport and to our surprise we paid £ 15!!! more than the taxi price without .informing us

It is being near to the Paddington Rail and underground station makes it easy for Heathrow connection and travelling pn London. Staff is friendly. The room I stayed was very small and it was not very comfortable. The towels and the room could be cleaner. When compared with the similar hotels nearby, it was expensive. I checked the rates of similar hotels on Sussex Gardens and compared the room quality with the rate they ask.

We have booked this hotel because of its location (close to Hyde Park, City center etc.) Can not say it is 3 star, poor quality of service, out of date rooms, broken shower head (needed to point to reception otherwise would not b replaced). Over priced. Breakfast is poor, no choice, service needs to improve.

Location good- near Hyde park, underground, walking distance to Oxford street, price included good english breakfast which was fresh and served with lots of toast. Bathroom in family room spacious and clean Parking available outside our room, at cost of £10.00 per day- very good value. The room was slightly grubby, wallpaper on wall ripped in places; there were old blankets and throws on the bed, not quilts- I asked for a continental quilt but was told they do not have them. There was no bath plug and on requesting one three times we still did not receive one. Breakfast served from 6.30am until 9 am, but plates are lifted and coffee removed at 9.05 so the times are slightly deceptive, the hall stairway had not been vacuumed in ages. Breakfast choice limited in two cereal (cornflakes or muesli) and only white bread.

The location but there is many better hotels just next to it The hotel is bad bad bad. It doesn't worse a penny of what we paid... I regret choosing the hotel. Lady at the reception dull but can say polite but the other 2 men has no customer service what so ever asked them to guide us about city attractions they gave us a face like we don't know. Next day for breakfast it was owfull another lady who are serving the breakfast was tough and shouting around although there was 2 nice girls, food was 2 eggs, sausage and beens thats it..only one kind of juice cereal in a plastic box not a standard hotel breakfast. Regardless to all this the room is very old and the toilet was disgusting I couldn't take shower for 3 days and hardly goes to the toilet..the smell of the paint was too much while passing though the corridors.. I would never recommend it to anyone..it doesn't worse a 330 pounds for 2 nights by any mean.

The location is excellent for shopping on oxford street. We were staying to go to a concert in Hyde park which is just a short walk away. There is secure parking nearby and also very limited parking outside the hotel for a small fee. Also single yellows outside the hotel so you cam park there free on a Sunday. Lots of restaurants and pubs nearby and close to marble arch and paddington tube stations. The room was very small for a triple.. It was a struggle for 3 girls with all our stuff so we were constantly climbing over the beds to get round the room.

The Athena was ideally located for access to the tube, sight-seeing venues, and train station. It was undergoing renovations during my stay and everything was very clean. The daily additional charge for using credit card for payment made it necessary to carry a large amount of cash or make daily cash withdrawals from an international atm if staying for an extended period of time.

The hotel had a good location near Paddington station and if yoy wanted you could walk to OXford street using 15 minutes. There were pubs and restaurants nearby. The hotel was clean (no carpets in the hotel room) and inviting. It was quiet even the hotel was filled with teenagers. The breakfast was good. The rooms were really small. The doublebed was at max 120cm wide and there was no floorspace. I would say this was a singleroom made in to a doubleroom.
