Location Staff Breakfast of local smoked salmon
food staff friendliness work ethic of staff staff can take a joke Helped us with travel and hotel reservations in Edinburgh Great pub and beer Quiet Wonderful opportunity to interact with the local community location on the Tay and beautifully maintained facility
can't think of anything. We were disappointed that there were no salmon to catch but can't blame the hotel.
Stunning location with friendly courteous and professional staff. The room was very clean and well kitted out for the standard. Perfect place for a couple of relaxing days and nights....
Bed was uncomfortable, I could feel the springs of the mattress.
Everything. A perfect pub in a lovely little village.
Accommodation and menu.
Great location, beautiful views from our bedroom, the breakfast was lovely, and the staff were very friendly.
The shower in the bedroom was not great, maybe because it was a third floor room.
service was faultless
Location is close to the High street.
Staff asked us to wait for a long time nearly took two hours for check-in. Shower is too small.waist size 28 are only eligible to take shower. Check-in time too late. Restaurant closes too early around 9.30 Do not go to Darjeeling Restaurant close to hotel as the service is a disaster.Food is not an indian cuisine. It's a normal one star Bangladesh Restraunt. Hotel is quite far from station.
This hotel in a well cared for old building is by the river in the centre of a very attractive small town. Staff at reception are friendly and competent and there was a genuine offer to carry suitcases. Our room was classed as superior and the promised river view was there. Despite looking over a road and being over the restaurant it was quiet at night and the bed was very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant. Both dinner and breakfast next day were very good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would choose to return. We liked the atmosphere of this friendly, helpful, quality but not luxurious country hotel.
This is an old building and it is well kept but I suspect there are problems with damp. Our bathroom, an internal one, had distinct smell of damp. The bedroom would have benefited from a small dressing table or a shelf with a mirror above. The only mirror was over the luggage rack.
The staff were lovely and very helpful. The location was beautiful. Bar meal good.
The river view room was noisy from traffic across the bridge. The breakfast was overlooked and not very good- given that the hotel has a reputation for good food.
My son and I had a great stay in this hotel. A really good night's sleep, lovely breakfast and very helpful staff. Good sized bathroom and plenty of towels. Lovely views even from the car park. Loads of interesting travel info available. Lounge spaces with character, this is a great place to stay.
This is being picky but there was a small pipe that ran between the bay window and the room at floor level- could be dangerous. Also, the room could be overlooked from premises opposite. The skill of the guests in the parking area left something to be desired - perhaps some way of marking out spaces would help.
We liked the location of the hotel The staff were excellent and very polite the food was very good in both the restaurant and bistro and well presented.
We were there for three nights and never had clean towels one day the room was not done at all On one night we were asked to leave the residents lounge because some local people were having a jamming session with guitars
correct hotel, a bit outdated. but well maintained.
The hotel was clean, welcoming and surprisingly spacious. The view over the river Tay is spectacular.
The wifi was poor and I would have liked more vegetarion options on the menu.
Dunkeld The Hermitage Beatrix Potter Garden Surrounding views, scenery. Fish and chips from local shop. Various other important sites within easy reach.
Welcome, friendly staff, spacious room, Central yet quiet location. Traditional Scottish hotel, freshly & tastefully decorated
Mix of smells, food and maybe a bit doggy in the room (hotel welcomes dogs), bit of damp in corridor. Older building needing a little tlc.
The food was good, especially breakfast, hotel also in a great location with views over the river. Rooms were very comfotable and bed linen clean.
No lifts, found it difficult to climb all the stairs and the porter never asked to help with my bags, mixer taps for shower over the bath not good, owners really need to up grade the bathrooms
Dinner and breakfast tasty. Good shower Friendly staff
Better pillows would make all the difference!
The hotel makes an effort with its dinner menu to provide excellent options for vegetarians and vegans. One of the best vegan dining experiences we had in Scotland!
Relaxing stay. Being dog-friendly was a bonus for us.
